Nice to see yet ANOTHER capture card, and hopefully all the companies competing will help us keep the capture card affordability reasonable! Also thanks for keeping my lunch breaks at work entertaining with new tech!
ASUS TUF CU4K30 is the only USB capture card I have used, which has zero issues or quirks. It just works. And it has allowed me to simply focus on my content.
God I wish this was my case. Overall when and how the card works is fantastic. But thats when. I first ordered this card in November of 2021. Worked great! There is some audio issues when grabbing audio directly from the card in OBS, but that was fixed by muting the card and then making a second audio input capture. Anyway come april of 2022 I go to fire my stream up and I had no output to my monitor. I had an image in OBS but nothing to my screen. 3 different HDMI cables, using it on a different console ( I knew this was not the issue) and countless hours of troubleshooting it came down to the HDMI out port went bad. Asus wouldnt warranty it because I bought it "Used" in like new condition from amazon. So lost that. Bought a second one brand new for $209 that day, so mid April and here I am now with that card being sent to Asus cause it refuses to output any image at all no matter what the source. All I get is a black screen with HDMI interrupted. Less then 3 months. So now I get to pay for shipping to send Asus their broken product and wait most likely a month till I get some refurbished unit back. And having to buy another card while I wait or lose revenue from my stream.
I just got the digit now one for like $40 new in box. I don’t stream and it will be my first capture device. I just wanted something basic to occasionally capture vintage video game footage that is it. I don’t see myself using it for anything higher than Xbox 360. I plan to eventually feed it off a retrotink.
Recently picked up the DigiNow unit and won't allow me to set my monitor to 1080p240 passthrough. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.
is there an app that lets me use this or the asus the same way you can with genki shadowcast's arcade app? just to play games on my laptop outside of obs?
I've been watching your videos lately and like them alot! We do alot of event and broadcast production, and are involved in TV and Radio and such, I've got a fascination with capture devices for some reason and I'm always on the lookout for good ones, especially good ones that run on lower specced machines. Didn't know that about Yuan / Elgato, I've had better experience with Yuan than Elgato, but I guess the chips themselves are only a small part of the full experience 🤔
I’m loving the Live gamer 4K and Bolt hopefully they get fully optimized for apple silicon someday and maybe the Live gamer 4K for apple silicon Mac Pro
I need something that can record without a computer. I need something better than apgtek for PS4. I use a USB stick-in capture card. Difficult to find anything.
What about 120hz pass through for nex gen consoles? Can you still pass through high refresh rates and still capture at 60fps like the Live Game Ultra? Also, little fyi, Digitnow also has their own “Live Gamer Ultra” for $100 as of writing this.
Ok. I bought the red capture card, and im trying to play on 1440p 120hz but it only let me choose 60hz. Am i doing something wrong?? I connect my pc to the Hdmi IN on the capture card and the Hdmi OUTPUT to my tv or monitor. But i only get 1440p 60hz. Anyone know what going on?
USB C is not good for stuff that goes on your desk. Cable gets loose too easily by moving it around and if the cable gets too lose, then everytime you bump it, you loose audio to your headphones. Very annoying. If you wanna give usb c interfaces or whatever, include a locking usb c connector. Or just got with USB A
@@EposVox Husband currently receiving apologies from Avermedia due to for a year and two live ultras later their customer support never responded back by forms, emails or Twitter. Took amazon to replace first one.. After apology emails this month the company hasn't responded back so Avermedia is a paper weight for the time being.
The Xbox Series X built in dvr seems to be far more powerful than any of these usb capture boxes are, as the Series X can capture to an external drive, 4K 60fps. The only thing I don't like about the xbox dvr is that some games like WWE 2K22 it blocks out wrestler entrance music, which is stupid.
