My favorite variant has been just a bunch of self mill dorks and bringer of the last gift, because it actually wins the game off a single loop without needing 3 minutes of clicking...
Played against this deck and immediately shat myself after I saw my opponent sac his Aftermath Analysist with Nissa on the board. Never seen that much mana get produced like that during a Standard game in awhile.
I usually hate playing with/against durdly decks like that, but I have to admit that go-wide Boros player must've been like "WTF? I had him down to freakin' FIVE HP!!"
33:26 there's a very cool line (I think?) with double World Soul's rage. Grab both, use the first one to deal 12 damage to the face, get the 6 fetch lands back from your graveyard, use the 6 mana to deal lethal with the second rage. (Exactsies!)
This deck is extremely slow playing in arena, I made a copy of course but I find it's difficult to enjoy being on either side of the table when it plays out. Been grinding helldivers past few days until the counter deck is popular enough that it's not every other match on arena right now. :/
@@ravipun6714 no lol. Boros is a gasless aggro deck that loses to a turn 3 or 4 sweeper. This is a deck that sucks to pilot or play against with the way the triggers are handled by the client
This deck has been pretty frustrating to play against. Even if it's not the most powerful deck it's pretty unfun having the turn times being so lopsided.
I haven't tried this archetype yet so I can't say for certain, but I feel Virtue of Knowledge is a perfect fit here. Early on, you double the reflexive trigger from the capenna lands, which also gain an additional life to stabilize, and later, as a bonus, it doubles all Nissa triggers acting like a secondary weaker but cheaper copy of the green virtue.
Also, if you go all in with virtues, Beluna Grandsquall might be a perfect replacement to Memory Deluge. Edit: especially considering that the red virtue can easily exile your entire library in this archetype.
I've been playing Windgrace with Worldsoul, Nissa, Analyst, and the other land recursion tricks. There are quite a few great decks to play around with the synergy, plus it's really fun to play.
I tried running it but you get to a point where your mana is coming from landfall triggers off of fetches, not actual lands. Works better if you use sacable utility lands like blast zone and scene of the crime.
@@Red_Mag3 Probably a bit too clunky, but it's still worth noticing that together with the new Wren that gives each land the World Tree effect you can indeed tap the fetchlands before they're sacked
Great video - very enjoyable and informative to watch! What type of graveyard hate would be good against this deck? I feel Unlicensed Hearse is a bit slow and doesn't do much if drawn latter in the game. Perhaps something like Lantern of the Lost, which can exile the entire graveyard and draw a card if it gets targeted by artifact removal?
I love this version. However, all the Jace defeats have had me add in the green card with flash back thst let’s you shuffle up to 3 cards into your deck to make it so I don’t loose at draw step versus Jace. Love the infinite combo here. I do like one Titan of Industry. What side board would you hold for best of 3?
@@LegenVD fair. So far my side board is rather lame. I have one more Splendid Reclemation. And 3 copies of the Turn Ty e Earth (I think that’s it) to keep from losing to mill. I’m thinking 3-4 copies of the 2R instant that does 2 damage to each non vampire for the Boros and RDW decks. Any other suggestions for this decks sideboard anyone?
You should really try Virtue of Knowledge, it's another ramp spell when targeting a fetchland second trigger, turns Nissa's search on with single land drops, and doubles mana triggers after youve used all your basics
Combo's like Gleeful Demolition into Knight Errant convoke are so much value it makes me wonder how much balancing they actually do. I also wish the color pie was more clearly defined in the cards themselves.
@@LegenVD just went and gave it a quick play in this list swapping out the splendid reclamation, nissa's mana disappears at each new phase so it triggering during upkeep is actively unhelpful given there's essentially no instants in the deck
Gotta try 63 nonlands 37 lands with 14 capena lands 2 echoing depths and spelunking the rest would just be 5 swamp island forest mountain then your choice of channel lands to finish up.... Adding black gives you dig up cruelty of gix as ways to search up answers and win cons and are great to copy with doppelgang repository skaab which is key to getting spells from the graveyard like doppelgang copy he skaab and 4 lands then repeat over and over and outrageous robbery worldsoul rage by turn 5 you should have all the basics out of the library by then and that leaves you with a pule of gas to win the game with and a shit ton of mana to cast it all😂
So annoying to play against so many triggers and waiting time Immediatly went back to historic at least there the triggers you have to wait through are interesting Something about the landfall Trigger sound just annoys the hell out of me😂😂😂😂 Magic is such a need and versatile game
9:11 I don't like that block. You could gain 10 life in fetchland triggers rather than saving 4 life by chump blocking, and they didn't have enough to kill you.
It's unlikely to matter much in the grand scheme of things, but it is a way to force them to play the (presumed) Tyvar's Stand so we can freely cast our sweeper in the future. If they randomly have Titanic Growth we're dead if we don't block.
@@LegenVD True, it does keep you from dying to a random pump spell. I definitely wasn't considering that. The Tyvar's stand probably doesn't matter in the future, though; if you sweep and they have a 4/5 with you at 17 life, that's a winning position for you.

Put simply this needs banned. Not because its overpowered. But because it is toxic for Arena. The only thing that is more frustrating than playing this deck is playing against it. There is simply far too much waiting around while the player takes 12 years to do a turn clicking through everything multiple times and hesitantly casting shit. Games are for fun and enjoyment. This is not fun for anyone and if this deck becomes commonplace, Arena is gonna be unplayable till they remove it.
I don't run into it that often at all? I also don't find it takes much longer than a boros convoke deck with all their trigger synergies. I do wish they'd code something in for nissa so that it lets you just assign which mana values you want if you trigger an aftermath while she's on the board. Basically. I don't think this is either super oppressive or dull to play against - certainly with UW control also strong in the format lmao.
No need to ban the deck if they improve the UI. They could for example add an option to resolve all following of the same type in the same manner. And on the opponent's side, let them skip reacting to all the (or x number of) following triggers of the same type. Or something like that. I'm sure if they tinker enough with it they can find a solution where they decks like this are still allowed to be played without sucking the joy out of everyone. Banning a deck on Arena not because of the deck itself, but because of the experience of playing it or against it seems off.
@@danielklein5829 Why lie? There is literally zero comparison between oppoenent times with those decks. I just dont get it, you can counter that its fine and toxic play is just part of Arena. But outright lies just make you seem to lack a point. This is a deck where even Legen is stopping to think constantly while playing it and he's probably one of the best players in terms of card knowledge you will ever find.
@@diechort It might seem off and, tbh, I agree its a shame that its necessary. But it is necessary. The deck is toxic, there's no way to smooth out the game play, even if it had autoresolve (which it kinda does) you still have to have the player go through the mana choice stage over and over and over. It will make people not want to play. The more common it becomes, the worst it will get. And when a bigger deckbuild content creator posts a deck like this, its gonna get more common

It makes you seem spectacularly salty when you accuse people of lying when they disagree with you. I was just raising that I don't consider it to be that much of an issue. I think its a shame you've decided this deck is inherently unfun so much that you can't imagine why someone wouldn't have a problem playing against it.

I prefer a one of the New case. that lets you play 2 lands a turn then when solved lets you play off top off deck. Portal to Phyrexia is also great as a one of; if your win cons get exiled. (it works great with Ill timed Explosion too when you need to kill big guys.
Tried the Case in some earlier builds, but there's a few too many misses on the top of the deck. Deluge fills that role nicely while also being able to randomly mill it for value.
