They can do most (not all) a pro camera can do. Perfect for this job, but I use the Filmic Pro app rather than the native app, and most often I attach an anamorphic lens.

I am so glad that you share these behind the scenes videos to show the work that goes into a song. Hours and hours to get it right with all that is involved vocally and musically is always a challenge and you guys live up to each challenge as being a four-star top notch cover band and on behalf of the musicians that put in those hours we thank you. For the up-and-comers who want to be musicians prepare to work and work hard because it's not just putting the music together but combining the Personalities and the egos to make it work as one and Hindly Street Country Club Band exudes that persona.

It's so incredible to watch what goes on before production and actual performance, to see the support personnel do their respective thing or job. It takes a lot of individual effort but more importantly a team effort to accomplish a goal. Thanks for sharing this SmakOn Content! It would be cool to watch bloopers as well :)

Thank you very much Alexander. I very much appreciate your comments, and you're right, it does take a lot of effort to put this up, but we love it. Bloopers would be a lot of fun, and indeed my favourite thing to do, but there's not too many of those moments when these guys and girls 'bloop'. THere's not often much time, so they put their heads down and just get on with the job. Rest assured, I'm always on the lookout.

Love the behind the scenes look. I especially appreciate hearing what it sounds like via the iPhone camera you are using. Interesting difference between what you hear and what the final mix is. The one thing that blows me away with HSCC are the amazing mixes. I truly enjoy listening to the music in my car or on my home stereo. Sounds absolutely wonderful.

Thanks for your comment Dave. Yes, a good mix can really bring forth the sound from each individual mic and balance it all beautifully. Especially when it’s done by an experienced engineer like Darren. The sound from the iPhone is just how we hear it live as we’re filming. No PA involved at all.

Great job, Peadar; hope to see many more of these BTS videos from you. Really enjoy the way you introduce the performers and crew and what is happening. @2:48 Hilarious! LMAO! Con - @4:15... I wanna be hated too! lol. EDIT: You mentioned that HSCC stays true to the original song while bringing their own style to the song; I've noticed that as well and love that about the band. I love note-for-note cover bands like Lexington Lab Band and Leonid & Friends, but HSCC does a great job of doing their own thing and I appreciate this type of cover as well. I know she might be embarassed by this, but that's one thing that drew me to Pina. Though it threw me a bit at first, she brings her own style to the vocals and it's very appealing.
