Blizzard broke league placements (again). So many of bronze/silver mmr players are in masters, while gold/plat mmrs are in bronze. Masters are about 30% of playerbase, which is not normal.

Leagues bug is at it again. According to the league portraits, I'm bronze, playing against master players, despite me and my opponent having the same MMR as the players in this video! I'd be surprised if this bug gets fixed someday :)

It even said 2769 MMR on the complaint form..... That is Platinum 2 I think. Not really sure where the MMR is right now between the ranks but I just got in Diamond 3 with 3200ish MMR so Plat 2 for 2700ish player seams about right.

clicking things fast and consistent is much more desirable to get into masters, than knowledge, since no amount of knowledge would save you, if you have less workers -> less eco -> less army (Lanchaster's law is no joke) and also late timings on any type of push/cheese. Then, after you get to masters with your micro and macro, you can have benefits from your knowledge gained in full.

Well, imagine your opponent transition into immortals or voidrays, which is a couple of clicks away (Build robo -> build immortals/build stargate -> build voidray). Suddenly your lack of transition makes you loose your army rapidly and you have no tech to transition to. Zerg is often described as reactive race, since you can get out many units of your choosing quickly. So making a couple of tech structures in anticipation of a switch is quite common. For example a lot of the times roach warren is placed "just in case" Zerg is in need of a dozen of roaches to defend bases. With your lack of scouting and transition you could've been dead much earlier, if toss decided to make even a couple of immortals. It's like seeing you miss incoming traffic by an inch and still insisting on crossing every road with a blindfold and earplugs...

@@tolo96643 base with each having 6 larva gives u 18 roaches. If u have 69 (nice amount) of workers u can max out on 3 rounds of injects (not even counting macro hatch and 4 bases). U don't even need no lurker viper. U be a chad and say mass roaches goes brrrrrrr. Make sure the that the protoss should complain next time.

@@tolo9664 Drone is the most overpower unit in Zerg arsenal. As they say "Soldiers win battles, logistics win wars." - with additional drones you can do better tech switches, you can afford taking fights because you can replenish your losses, you can build buildings more, you can get more upgrades than just the upgrades for one unit etc. etc. Build drones as your 1st objectives to make sure you have enough resources because if you dont have enough stuff from which you can build and morph units, chances are good you wont have enough.

Exactly, I was both a bronze and a master soon after that, because of that bug... SC2 has a lot of bugs in it... zerg units are only a small fraction of them

My bad, you are right that completely cancels out the fact that they released a definitive edition for all three of their age of empire titles, gave the most popular one two whole expansion packs, also gave 3 a whole expansion with new civilizations, regular updates and patches, renewed investment in the tournament and pro scene, and finally a full sequel being released. But no let's focus on the few things that aren't perfect like an absolute insane person.

Naw he's the Mid lane assassin with ridiculous mobility that goes 2-0 early but never leaves lane or helps contests any objectives and just slowly auto attacks the turret while his team needs help everywhere else and wonders why he lost. Yes, but currently MMR ranges are messed up on EU server. Bronze 1: 2648 - 2972 Silver 3: 1840 - 2027 SIlver 2: 2027 - 2213 ... Gold 1: 2640 - 2760 Plat 3: 2760 - 2893 Plat 2: 2893 - 3027 So technically everybody below mid plat 2 is in Bronze. I wounder how Harstem didn't noticed that.

@@Mihauki yeah, but 2600 is less than 2648. 🙂 But yeah I can feel it. For long time I was a stable Gold 1. Sometime Inreached Plat 3 but never could stay in. And for this season I was in Bronze 1 until last week. (Now I'm finally over 3k mmr and be in plat 2.)

It is plat 3 and to be honest, I would have said plat 3 too if this was rank roulette. It really doesn't look like a bronze game at all. Way too much micro.

Harstem was spot on about what he did wrong. He never went above 36 drones... if he eco properly he could have maxed out like 17 times and just ran over the protoss a million times over.
