Why not buy an old-school conversion van? I had an ‘89 Chevy. Captain’s chairs, TV hookup, curtains on the windows, a fold-down bed in the back. I loved it
I'm from rapid City South Dakota... It's beautiful country. Sitting Bull, my great x5 grandfather is buried here. Home of Mt. Rushmore. It does get mighty cold.
Have you thought about a small pop up camper? They're comfortable, easy to heat and cool. We had one for years and decided to scale our mobile home and have a house put on our property, we ended up living in our pop up camper for like 3 months during the winter and we were warm and comfortable in southern Indiana.
Buying a trailer in the winter in the Midwest or somewhere cold is IDEAL. You got that right! I am looking myself. Going to have to get something in a similar size as you're looking for, but I'm looking for a fiberglass shell one so we're probably not going to compete in the marketplace.
Just use what you have. The trailer is only a little wider than you like. Try it you'll never know until you do. Quit worrying until you have something to worry about.
Go pick it up in St. Louis. Easy Peezy . It's not that far from OKC and do a couple of videos while you're there. Consider it done and you have a confy bed at night Lamont.
Lamont you've been spinning your wheels on this subject for ions now. If you have a trailer already, that kinda sort of would work, then use it. Get it built out as you go. Not sure if you said it was too heavy to pull with your current van or not, but you may want to get into a pickup to pull it. Something a little newer and low miles. Then you are golden for a long time to come. Buying another van or another trailer sounds like you are starting a used van and trailer lot. Don't go smaller when you know you want the extra room. Hell a 14 footer would be ideal for one guy, even a 12 foot one would work fine. Whichever do an easy build in it for a bed and table/ counter and add as you go. By Summer maybe an a/c unit.A truck would be ideal for pulling that load with an electric brake setup. That will help keep everything under control, especially on long grades. The van you are in is best for warm weather shorter runs and better gas mileage. Good Luck to you.
Camping world is selling a small travel trailer on clearance for $8000. Marked down from $20000. It's called The Coleman Rubicon 1200k. I thought about getting one but you can't stand up inside which is a deal killer for me. Still temping though at that price. Could probably sell it after a year or two for profit.
I have a ford econoline 302 V8 that only gets about 14mpgs without a high top kit....Rather than tow a trailer with van. I'm thinking if I get unsick & moving I want to sell van & get something like a 20ft RV that's old but good shape & low miles.....It'll also get about 14mpgs in it but have more space & a wetbath....A few years ago I seen one of the now sought after 1970s GMC fwd motorhomes. That have the slanted aerodynamic shape. Asking price was only $1000 & it was in good shape. But was 3hrs away & I didn't have any way to get it. 😢 😢
keep looking i got a teardrop for 3500, im 6'4 and i can stretch out. Look in Indiana (Warsaw, Elkhart, Winnamac, Lafayette, Knox, Rensellear, Anderson, Greenwood, Noblesville, (All in IN,) I always look there for rv's/camper vans
I know what you mean buddy I'm looking for a trailer to go up to Indiana and it is so freaking annoying west Texas sucks with this issue they have outrageous price for crap trailers . But I wish you luck buddy.❤
Yeah I can picture you in a little tiny trailer sitting at a little tiny desk. 😂 I hope you find what your looking for so you can save money be comfortable and stay warm.
Sounds like from this video you are not sold on anything, to drive randomly for unknown is expensive, go to an area to do a video and then check out trailers. If you have things in storage, sell them off, and stick with less. Best for your pocketbook. If someone has random magazines they should be able to provide you with more detail on number. Or no go.
I m looking at trailers in Australia. Same issue here and the ones that are seni decent and semi reasonable on price are getting sold by time wasters. People are getting dumber for sure
Not used to hearing profanity out of your mouth Lamont. I was taking a relaxing bath, thought I'd watch your video. 3 F bombs, one C bomb and 4 mild potty words. I was adding up in my imaginary swear jar. You owe me $5 imaginary dollars.😂😂😂😂😂
I like to use the word, Exclusively, because it makes it sound more Premium. Example: I have been sleeping in my van, Exclusively, for about 4 years now
Shit man your promblem is you won't come east of Tennessee if you run the coast line from north Carolina to Florida you will find people selling stuff everyone camps on the coast line
Another promblem is the size and style of trailer you want you either see them brand new or old and beat to shit....if it was me I would just say fuck it buy a truck with a camper shell on it put a bed in it with a storage bin on top and be done with it
