I enjoy the more “negative” videos as you’re honest and unbiased. I will say that I sampled Oh La La from a previous video of yours, after I saw you talk about it, and I’m in love with that fragrance. So thank you again for another lovely perfume that will come into my collection based on your recommendations and honesty! 😊
Discovered your channel last week and have been watching many videos and spending more than I should on recommendations. I love your fragrance descriptions on all your videos but the imagery from this “wrong side of the bed” video is just plain gold
Flower and gasoline 😂😂😂 I will not be buying that fragrance! Very cool video, and GORGEOUS makeup! Do you mind sharing your eye shadow, lipstick and blush please? My stinky fragrance is Nishane Ani. What in the spice is this overwhelming paprika scent ? 🤷🏻♀️
It’s so interesting how noses pick up on different things. I’m an Oud fan and the Bewitching Yasmin is one of my signature. It’s mouthwateringly delicious to my nose and dances differently when my skin warms up. I don’t have any fruity, super feminine or floral fragrances in my collection bc my nose gets overwhelmed with fruity florals and find them cloying. But I don’t expect others to smell what I smell. I chuckled a The gas accident perfume and the salad! That would be a nope for my nose 😂
I had so wanted to love Penhaligons fragrances, but I have been disappointed by every one. I love the top notes of Empressa, but it dries down into that rubber scent you described. Luna fades in an hour or two, as the The Favourite, Constance has zero sillage, and many of the others have a strange rubbery woody middle note that I just can't handle. I LOVE their bottles, story, history, and vibe, but I can't justify a purchase if I can't use the fragrance.
Just wanted to pop by and mention I tried and loved Kelly Caleche EDP, by Hermes and now own a full bottle I was able to find at Holt Renfrew ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️! So hard to find this to test out but am SO happy I found out about it from you because this is one of the most beautiful light/airy Rose perfumes I’ve ever smelled and owned. It’s quietly stunning. I’m in LOVE 🥰. Thank you, Yana, for the recommendation. This is bringing me so much joy 🎉❤️
I love these kind of videos. Equally helpful I think. Some scrubbers for me were: Kirke, La Tosca, Fig Infusion (smells like burnt rubber to my nose), Pegasus, and BR540! I once spilled a sample of Nuit de Tubereuse by L'Artisan Parfumeur on the carpet right by my bed. I thought it was a scrubber, but the smell lasted for days and slowly went from a hate to a love. This was 15 years ago or so and had to get by brother to bring me a bottle from London. I still cherish that bottle.
I hate Alien, also Angel actually. Some recent hates include Pas Ce Soir, Bond Greenwich Village 🤢, and Creed Aventus for her (straight up mens cologne).
@@nectariad6164 to me it's sharp, loud and screechy. I've heard reviewers describe it as juicy and fruity and all kinds of nice things but to me harsh and not pleasant at all.
I really thought that I was the only one who loved frag bashing videos! I subscribed to Yana specifically to watch her describe scents she cannot abide! I also like to hear a good bash on scents I like from a nose like our girl!
Spot on with Rosendo No5. Got a sample and first time it sent me to bed with a headache and nausea. So sad cause the florals are pretty but the rubber is overwhelming. People say it’s the incense but I have no issue with incense in many other perfumes. Just one that literally I couldn’t “stomach”.
@@TheScented fair enough! I've actually been thinking of purchasing this one (if I can find it at some kind of discount because eek!) , but after this video I'm gonna try to use up my sample first just make sure I wasn't being crazy when I initially sniffed this and loved it. It's SO hard not to fall for the kitty bottle!!
Oh man, I love Rosendo Mateu No. 5! I sometimes pick up that rubbery essence right on the skin, but it smells divine in the air. Babycat does that, too. Right on the skin, all I can smell is slightly vanillic black pepper bomb! In the air, it smells divine. Lol so weird!
I enjoy these types of videos! Helps to figure out if you have similar taste and sort out perfumes that are hyped up! Have you tried perfumes by Dime Beauty?
I love penhaligons yasmine and a lot of xerjoff fragrances but I haaate Hate black opium(strong coffee and too sweet), alien (dirty and old smelling)and nishane hundred silent ways ( for me black opium on steroids extra sticky sweet just headache)
😂 Here with the weird tickling of the nose 🙌, you don't know how much I relate to that, and that is why I trust you so so much 😍 It happened to me lately testing Annicke 5 and I was sooo sad because I loved the opening but the dry down is a no go for me 😅... That said, I enjoyed the "spilling the tea" video ❤👌
I bought a ‘dupe’ that you reviewed from Oakcha called ‘Morning Rain’. I believe that I might add that one to the not recommended group. It does not really smell like gypsy water and that bottom obnoxious note that is tobacco-y is really a strong smelling note that does not go away. However, to be fair, The Fragrance Shop is a real find, thanks to you, and the Wood Sage and Sea Salt oil is fantastic. Thank you for videos. I understand that we all have different noses.😊
I got the discovery set from Juliette Has a Gun and I'm so glad I didn't invest in any full bottles. None of them work on me and they all have a weird underlying funk, I'm shocked how hyped the brand is. Same with the Ellis Brooklyn scent diary, I didn't like any of them; I found most of them were downright weird/unpleasant. I'm also not a fan of Jazz Club by itself, it's way too cigarette-smoky to me. But layer it with any amber, vanilla or honey fragrance and it's transformed to something much easier on the nose while still being present.
Funny you should say that! I was in Sephora this morning and sniffed all of the Juliette has a gun scents they had and yeah they were not my vibe at all!
Okay you saved me! I was leaning toward just buying palo santo because I’ve heard only good things and I love palo santo in real life. I will definitely sample.
I SO agree with you re Rosendo Mateau No 5. Blind bought it because I usually love Floral Ambers but immediately all I got was burnt rubber too! What the? I cannot understand the raves about it. The only way I can bear it is to layer Baccarat Rouge 540 all over the top.
I think YSL Babycat is awful and it was hyped up so much! My friend lives in the UK and sent me a 10ml sample. Since it’s expensive and not sold in the US I didn’t want to do a blind buy. It smells like gasoline or a chemical cheap vanilla with floral. Horrible on me. My Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille is so much nicer! It’s been compared to Babycat and there’s no comparison to me! Maybe it is my body chemistry that doesn’t work with Babycat but it’s 🤢
I believe the rubber smell you get from Rosendo #5 is the incense, i didnt care for incense in most fragranced until I got a small decant of YSL's Babycat and now I want that. Rosendo #5 is the closet Ive been able to get to a dupe of that until it finally hits the states. I enjoy bewitching yasmine for its dakrness and its heaviness. good late night fragrrance with sillage. Def agree with Dead Dinosaurs, smells great on others wich made me get it but once I got it, I really dont understand it, plus it does nothing for me on my skin, glad Im not alone lol
What I can kind of understand from this: Your taste differs from mine. Many fragrances you said you like and think is good, actually not very good to me. It smells bad on me. I'm also very sensitive to harsh notes. I could never go near my colleagues who use mancera. But Untold smells beautiful to me. In my skin, The Bewitching Yasmine gives me that spicy notes. A lot of cardamom and it smells really sexy and mature. It's my favourite from the portrait's collection. But back again, it's all about preferences. I take notes what you review as I do like the way you review the perfume, but most of the time our taste so different.
I came here to comment the same thing. I bought Bewitching Yasmine when I was lucky enough to go to London back on 2018. I've used about half the bottle since and it's firmly entrenched into one of my top 3 scents of all time.
Whatever day you filmed this on...is exactly how I woke up today. 😄 And to top it off, I'm looking out the window right now and it's raining, snowing and thundering all at once. Wtaf 😂 Great to see you rolled with it! Ps, I can't stand the woody amber in Untold either. But I will be checking out Canadian Gentleman! Sounds like it'd fit me perfectly. 🤣 Just...not today. 😶🌫
I also have issues with many Xerjoff perfumes, I find there is a harshness that comes through and hits the back of my nose and it seems to be the same smell in a lot of there perfumes. Not sure if it’s a chemical smell as I’m not experienced enough to identify it. This smell I find is in a lot of expensive perfumes.
I completely agree with you about all, but Untold. I am one of those people that do not get the sharpness and I love it! I love the bottle as well. I have had it for a month now, and I already have a dent!
Secretions Magnafique by etat libre d'orange is by far the most horrid perfume I've ever smelled. I can appreciate pretty much all scents but that one is just BAD. I literally gagged. 🤷♀️🤢
I purchased some coastal Carolina perfumes I’m really happy with, but idk like to see your review for it so I can purchase a full bottle (I only got samples)
I also found Carner Palo Santo extremely odd indeed. And I also disliked The Bewitching Yasmine... that Laotian oud note with the sharp incense was not for me
So I cant wear a lot of scents because of that rubber smell. It smells great on other people but when I wear it and I get a strong rubber skunkish smell. Is that the musk?
I love rosendo mateu no5, I think it's one of the best if it's not the best musky perfume in the world. Always sample if you are not sure to buy full bottles, whatever perfume it is
Agree with you on Golden Gai and Rosendo Mateo #5 (all that hype made me try it). I also did not like Mushin and Vienna 1900 from Meleg but I liked most of his others. But a real strong dislike is BR540 and all its clones incl. Ariana Grande Cloud. In fact I dislike all current designer fragrances in general.
Mandragola by v- canto , I had to leave my house. It was so bad I had to put on gloves when I boxed it up to sell for fear it would get on me… also roses Berberanza by Lancôme… erba pura as well … beautiful opening to straight up ambroxan… just nooooo for me
I thought it was me concerning that super aggressive, sharp, i.e, razor blades, marinated cat pee with kerosene notes that rushed out of Rosendo Mateu# 5 bottle. It was cartoon time at my house! My husband suffers from serious sinus ...he was wailing and threatening me. I tell you it was cartoon time!!!😅
Finally got a decant of EBK's Deep & Desire Yacht. It snells like Welch's grape juice, which is disgusting. I despise that juice ever since I was. a kid. Everyone was so high on that fragrance. I almost blind bought it and I would've been pissed.
Joop! Le Bain is an inexpensive blind buy I made after two RU-vidrs talked about how great it was and the notes appealed to me. It smells like rubber. Yuck!
Hi. Rosendo #5 made me really ill in the guts, traditionally (Arabic Perfumery) white floral and amber clash and is not recommended......this was a blind buy for me coz I was so curious about the hype (this was a big lesson for me) I literally pushed it out of my house within 2 days.
I just threw away 2 new bottles of blind buy mistakes because they were so disgusting to my nose that I didn’t even want to bother trying to sell to anyone. Both: Serge Lutens (which, before now I’ve loved) La Fille de Berlin & fleurs d'oranger. Horrible 🤮
For me, sampled Venom Incarnate from Stephane Humbert Lucas. The way that smells on paper, I won't be putting it on my body. It's overripe strawberries, menthol, and unwashed booty.
I did not Like the new signature from Montblanc but just based on the smell from the blotter a very boring pear at the top and then a wirerd powdery scent 😅 and so the new Narciso for her forever very like the Original EDT for her but somehow also boring 😂😂🤷🏼♀️
Yoana woke up in a little bit negative mood today because somone gifted her dior sauvage the day before 😂 Just kidding yoana, i hope your life goes great 😊
I hate Crus Del Sur ll. Literally made me nauseous. Thank God I have only a sample. I don’t know who would like to smell like a vomit 😂😂😂😂 sorry, to each their own. It’s my personal opinion ❤
Mukhallet, Note Vanille and Alien essence absolu (Thierry Mugler) are the only ones I can think of at the moment that were just horrendous and got so much love. Note Vanille by Micallef being the most rank of the 3. Alien essence absolu was awful and also impossible to get off your skin once you spray it. Mukhallet smells like you walked into a tiny crappy public gas station bathroom and the cheap cleaner smell plus dirty bathroom smell is Mukhallet. Stricnina smells like cheap air freshener that I wouldn’t want to use, and I’ve been getting that same smell a lot lately from similar fragrances. The latest being Tabit by TT. 😬 Too bad a blind bought nearly every one of these
