I believe the reason for the lack of video games at garage sales is because people are attempting to sell them themselves at a much higher price they would get at a garage sale. With E-Bay, WhatNot and other platforms that make it easier to sell. Good luck and stay safe.

As a CD collector and music guy myself, ive never really tried to resell any before. I only collect CD's because the audio quality is better than say Spodify, so I only buy albums I want to listen to. Almost every CD retails at around $10 when its new, so their value rarely ever gets above that. But if you have good albums from good bands you could probably sell them for like $5 or $6 each and do decent, id like to know how that lot pans out for you.

There are still a lot of CD's out there that go for good money well above what they originally sold for. OOP, early pressings, limited editions. Easy to resell if you know what you are looking for.

Do you think smaller sellers' growth is hindered/slowed by larger sellers using garage sales or fbm for sourcing when those large sellers have access to other avenues of sourcing those small sellers do not?

So I'm trying to do the same as you but not to your extent lol I try to buy cheap to sell for a small profit to put towards there wedding. 🎉 it's hard grind but with whatnot I'm making small purchases for small profit, it hard but we'll get there. They have given themselves this challenge to turn $10 into $50000, without saying it outright, they are basically delivering the message: look what you can do, use this as edutainment. They aren't teaching with this channel anymore. They are trying to get you to sign up to discord, buy supplies from their sponsor, etc. And the whole time they are doing it they are trying to make it look like they are being down to earth and starting from scratch and pushing themselves with these rules that are meaningless.

I think finding games at garage sales is kind of dying out because of price charting and honestly channels like this (not saying that antagonistically, I've been a sub since like 10k). In other words I think it's too easy for Joe Blow who hasn't looked at or touched a game in 20 years to hop online and find content showing how valuable some games are but ignoring many many factors that play into that value. Sorry to break the news to ya Joe Blow but your stack of 20 games, half of which are Madden and NHL, are not worth nearly what you think just because price charting shows a number on the screen.
