I’m side-eyeing anyone who says they wouldn’t tell their “friend” they caught their partner cheating.

I have learned to give advice or opinions when asked. It’s much less stressful.

I’m also a Sagittarius. I’ve learned who I can and can’t give advice to. Some of my friends only want me to listen. But if they start complaining, I let them know those are the consequences and they have to deal with it. I’m not here to listen to you complain. On the other hand, I have close friends that like me to tell them how it is. We’ve learned each other strengths and weaknesses, so they appreciate me providing an unbiased and honest perspective.

I’m a Sagittarius as well but I’ve learned to only give my opinion when asked. I used to be the friend to just volunteer my advice but that’s definitely not the way to be. My friends are also super open with me about everything so it’s never a problem because 9/10 they’re coming to me for advice.

I Will Tell You How It Is, Before Someone Else Will....

In my friend group I was the single one & everyone in relationships always came to me about their problems. I’d listen to them & ask them if they wanted my advice or just vent & they’d tell me. If they just wanted to vent I’d listen ask questions & make comments but with no advice. When they wanted my advice I’d always tell them “Now u don’t have to do as I say but just listen to what I’m saying. Now here’s what I’d do personally” & they’d thank me. Then the next day weather they listened or not they always came back saying “U were right” because I was...but keep in mind I was the only single one that at the time only had 2 relationships(because I’m not fast & wasn’t interested in guys around me)giving all the girls with boyfriends with problems in their relationships advice. I’d always ask them “I’m the only single person here! Y does everyone come to me for relationship advice?! I don’t mind helping u guys just y.” They usually said it’s because I gave the best advice. I guess being a year older than them & being a Scorpio was helpful to...

My friend went to a club and saw my daughter's dad there with someone else while I was home pregnant. He saw her and she said he immediately had that oh sh*t look on his face. And yes she called me while she was there. My daughter is 10 now so this was a long time ago. I'm happy to say I've successfully moved on, his last relationship, very toxic, his family hated her, made me happy haha

Ithink overall, people use the term "friend" too loosely, and don't really know what a real friend is or does in the relationship. From personal experience, I've definitely learned to usually wait until asked before offering advice, but at the same time, there needs to be some balance in the friendship in terms of both sharing information and sharing advice. I say that because it's equally wrong to have a so-called friend just use you as a dumping ground for their toxic life stories and expect you to quietly take on their energy because REAL friends look out for your best interests by not only celebrating you, but also holding you accountable, by way of calling you out.

I was having this conversation with someone. We talked about her friends asking her advice. We feel like even if your friend asks your advice, you probably shouldn’t give it because whenever people ask for our advice, they either don’t take it or they go to their significant other (who they be breaking up with them one minute but then be all lovey-dovey the next.) and tell them all the things u said about them. So maybe if they ever decide to ask for advice, try giving more in general, surface level, type advice. Try being more thought provoking instead of telling them what you think they should do.

I learned to observe first (I peep the situations first, I be knowing😂), then let the friend(s) come to me if/when they ask. That way, it's on them and they're not as offended/mad, because they did ask and I didn't impose. It's a lot better that way.

I agree with Loni...I never give unsolicited advice to my friends. My siblings yes for sure. On the other hand I will tell a friend if I see her man cheating and I don't care if she tells him I said it. He better know to respect me and my presence. But if we are acquaintances then I'm sorry I may or may not say so indirectly.

I'm an Aries. I always speak truth. If you ask me how something looks, I'm gonna let you know my opinion. If you don't like it, you shouldn't ask. But I normally do give my 'unsolicited' ADVICE, you don't need to take it but I give it with good intentions. I.e. "don't you think it's easier to package the items in a single bigger box instead of 3 small boxes?"

I never asked for advice from anyone. Period. Then I will tell a true friend if BY is creating for sure but most of my girlfriend are delusional won't believe me or blame on me for it and still go with the relationship. So!
