Depending on how the gens are done you could have a spread or a 3 gen scenario. If they are spread out then the killer really has not chance to come back unless the survivors really really mess up.
Most of the time survivors spawn together on the opposite side of the map, so they can easily get a gen or two done. Sometimes even 3 if the first chase is a long one. The rest of the match depends on how quick you can get hooks, them being altruistic or not and the remaining gens placement
start of the game, a lot of gens, killer needs to go across whole map, survivors get sometimes almost 30+ seconds free to do gens, killer can only chase 1 survivor, the rest are free to do gens until the killer gives them more to do....its simple. thats how the game is set up
the simple answer is map pressure. the killer doesnt have any in the early game unless theyre super lucky with spawns. trickster moves slow as hell so his map pressure is terrible all game. but its easier to defend a group of gens that arent spread too much than some that are in each corner of the map. you really need to get a first hook early to generate any kind of pressure on the survivors and the game becomes manageable after you've gotten your first kill.
i see you often stay around hooks, instead of pressuring your actual objective which is gens. You can’t expect survs to be slow on gens when u literally never check them or wait too long to do so. Also waiting for hook trades will not increase your chances of winning if anything it’ll increase your chances of a drawl, since you are only applying pressure to two survs. btw im 50/50 killer main and surv so I never understand complaints about maps. Yea they’re incredibly one sided most of the time, but there are broken maps for both killer and surv for example haddon, badham, and gideon
Sadly most killers can only hope for a draw vs good survivors, so what you described is already the best case scenario for half the cast. But Im confused on why you dont understand why people complain about bad maps. A bad map can be an instant loss if you play a weaker killer, and some maps can only be won with the top 3 killers. It gets annoying trying to play a killer you like only to load into badham and know its a lost cause from the start. The reason tru was irritated is because the survivors picked a busted map, knowing fully well it gives them a massive advantage.
no i agree it definitely is frustrating im a chucky main and a feng main, so i understand the frustration with getting a bad map. I just mean there’s no use in getting worked up when there are bad maps for both sides. Like i don’t instantly think i will lose because i got haddonfield as survivor, and i also don’t think i’ll instantly lose because i got erie as killer. It may just be a mindset thing, i also play trapper a lot he’s my second killer main so i guess i don’t mind a challenge lmao
@@JustRazii I get you, but after years of the devs leaving busted maps in the game it gets a bit silly. However, letting people choose maps is the main source of frustration, because the other side is usually going to be abusing everything that makes whatever map theyve picked busted. Imo I think complaints of maps is pretty fair considering how drastically broken some maps are compared to others.
