I work at a golf course and saw a guy using these clubs and asked him why not just play regular golf. His response was that he was injured in war and couldn’t rotate his back well enough to swing the club anymore. So fling golf got him out on the course where he could still enjoy playing with his mates. So it’s not just for young healthy folks.

@@rodneypratt4324 fancy country clubs have tons of rules. Doesn’t matter how much money you pay, if you violate rules they won’t let you do certain activities.

@@ST5S5 yes I understand that part. And I was a waiter at the Austin Country Club, at the 19th hole, also known as the Harvey Penick room. The course is not always full you can sneak that in or just go ahead and play. I find it hard to believe that they would tell you you can't use that. It would definitely speed up play. That's my opinion

It is a really cool idea because it almost hits a market like frisbee golf but you can actually play it with a regular golf ball and at a real golf course that allows it.

I don't understand why companies nowadays are worried about valuations to keep raising more funding. If a company gets enough traction, it should be able to sustain it's own growth and not have to keep diluting it's shares. It's like everybody wants to be a tech startup nowadays and follow the same business model.

Great idea, If I owned a golf course, I see 0 reason to not allow this product. It does what a golf club does in different form factor. Like the fact Mr.Wonderful is upset is ridiculous if it does nothing different but allow a different throw method then it is great. I am not saying you will be allowed on pro tours, but that is not the mission.

Not only that low cost of entry. You don't need to lug around a bunch of different clubs for the way the golf ball lies. Golf courses could still charge same rates they charge golfers. And without all the fuss with clubs you can play through holes faster! I see this product as a win win product.

@@xlncy I guess that's a start, but unless they're charging millions to play this game then it's still not going to be a big business, there's only a little over 700 billionaires in the US (roughly 2,700 worldwide), you want the masses to get into it, not a small few. 🤔

It's risky but I think it could be big for younger kids and teenagers I don't think it's going to be big for adults but if you get a lot of teenagers out there bringing their friends and they're playing that and they're spending money it could become a big thing.

I went golfing once. The place I went were absolutely ridiculous. Watched us like a hawk, drove over any single time they even thought you were doing something wrong. I don’t see many places allowing this.

No, golf takes too long. I think this is better because you don't have to sift through clubs to figure out the best was to whack a ball. And it will make playing through a course faster.

If you're close enough to get hit in the head by this you weren't standing in a good spot for a standard swing either. If anything this is less dangerous as the only threat IS the club. Helluva lot less likely somebody flings it into a tree and it ricochets back. Easier to aim because the swing it overhead it's going straight at whatever you point your toes to. edit: From a golfer perspective. Yeah this is dumb. But for those that can't golf due to injury it gives them a chance to play somehow.

They don't mean the average golf player grows a year older every year like any human does. They mean that, say you took all golfers and go the average age, 59. Next year, you have fewer younger players, more older players. Now the average age is 62. They mean every year, there are fewer younger players, more older players, not that anyone who plays golf gets older as time moves forward.
