Great info from a great interview. Important points like: all aspects of life will affect our ability to trade; taking 20% of profits and putting it aside for "self care"; substantial drawdowns happen to even the greats so we need to have a plan/system in place to work through these situations; put $$$ into other areas besides the stock markets; "smarts" doesn't have anything to do with profits; etc. Charles honesty, sincerity and transparency is greatly appreciated. Thank you gentlemen.
I just wanted to say how impressed I am with your channel. You truly stand out from the rest of the trading gurus out there. Your approach is so refreshing, and your willingness to share your strategies and insights without any expectation of payment is truly admirable. Thank you for being such a great teacher and mentor.
Takes courage and humility to admit these things, and is so difficult to look in the mirror and be honest with yourself, however it is immensely more difficult o admit it to others. As we all hide behind our masks and try to portray perfection. My hat to you Charles. 🙏🙏
This is honestly one of the best interviews I have heard in quite awhile. Incredibly helpful to hear people who were actively investing during the Great Recession talking about their experiences. I have heard quite a few stories about it but something about how/what they described was infinitely more relatable than many of the other stories I've heard. Thank you!
Amazing contente once again. Charles’ honest and candid thoughts on his past experience is one of the main reasons I have him as one of my heroes in this amazing journey called trading. Learned so much! Thank you guys
Thank you Charles for being so real! I have been investing and following O’Neils principles for over 30 years now. I have always beat myself up over not taking profits soon enough and hanging on to ones that have lost their way(LCID comes to mind). Loved the 2007 flashback of stocks, was in most. More investors need to hear your wisdom.
hello, i started the last week and dont have experience at all in this binary world. I will try tomorrow the steps of this video, i will write you after i try it. Thank you for the video.
Really amazing video, I saw the full video. It's so interesting to me, I loved it, and it's so useful for us in terms of trading. After watching the video, my love for Trade really increases.
Very cool! "It's better to make money than to be right,". and taking some profits out of the trading account are very practical bits of advice. Thanks!
Great podcast. Always good to see Charles here and on IBD live. Insights into the market, trading and about life in general are amazing and educational. His honesty about his physchological journey and how it has affected his trading and life has helped me to grow and learn exponentially . Thanks Charles!
Regarding smart... in the role playing game Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) there were always two mental attributes: Intelligence and wisdom. When i was young i did not understand that. But the older i get, the more i do. Intelligence (smarts) is what you know. Wisdom (street smarts) is what you do. And i am under the impression that wisdom is much more important in the markets than intelligence.
