All references to Established Titles have been cut from the video, had to clear it with my Agency's legal team first to make sure I was legally allowed to do so with the contract we signed but they've confirmed I can. Apologies friendos!
I'm the creator of the Dust2 remake. Cool to see people playing and enjoying it! Its come a long way since your time of recording it, I've shifted it to a Counter-strike: source version and I'm in the detailing stage now. Hopefully we can forge or get a official bomb game mode to go with it! If you want to find the map on the file browser its current name is "Dust2 CS:S (WIP)"
THANK YOU! that's what I'm saying and it's absolutely wonderful, like Infinite had a bit of a rough patch but with 343I really adding in the classic, staple Halo modes like forge into Infinite, piece by piece Infinite is truly feeling like the next complete Halo experience it was meant to be 😁 cheers fellow reclaimer!
How in the fuck is anyone suddenly going "OMG HALO SAVED" because of one mode that, while it is good, is a very small part of the whole. The very foundation of Infinite is shaky, unstable. Adding one mode, a mode that can't even be used in anything other than custom games, is far, far from any savior.
@@theincrediblefella7984 man I don't get why people say what they do like you, you're missing the entire point respectfully, the entire foundation of Halo Infinite is something that's being added onto and built more through out time, and yeah while that's not the way it was done by Bungie and stuff that's just sort of how games are made now and days, It's a big W for the whole community that Forge is finally in the latest Halo title and not only that, it works and there's so many awesome works of art, maps and modes too, yes there's a lot Infinite could improve on but we should all be happy Infinite is going in this direction with active work instead of being something dead and forgotten about a year after launch, Forge and more content being added onto Infinite is a whole W reclaimer
Saved is sort of subjective here. I feel as if forge only reeled back in a decent amount of loyal halo players, but give it a couple weeks and that number will most likely drop again. As of bringing brand new players, I doubt there was any significant pull for anyone who hasn’t played halo before.
There’s this really fun map and mode called Bot Attack I found. It works best with one or two people(tried it with four and it was pretty iffy then), and you pretty much just have to fight off endless waves of sword wielding bots. There’s additional guns to pick up, ammo you can find, and the entire map is incredibly dark. Meaning if you turn off outlines and name tags then it gets really fun and intense. It could use a few changes and updates, but I feel like it’ll be much better if the creator were to redo the mode with infection as the base(whenever we get it that is)
What I want 343 to do is create a weekly updated playlist, showcasing forge maps, even license Matt from other games would be cool like shipment that I’ve seen in cod
That definitely will never happen. We’ll have to create our own browsers for stuff like that when that time comes. You already know people are gonna remake zombies maps for a fan made firefight mode
I think they might, but probably want to fix some of the forge buggieness first. Like the spawns issues. Right now forge is undergoing the biggest stress test it's had so far. So far in the last week it's probably seen more playtime than they were able to give it in testing. If we start getting forge playlists with Season 3 I'll be happy enough.
The fact that PLAYERS have been able to achieve things such as recreating a game mode like warzone almost near perfectly inside forge, in just the first week it’s been out, utterly blows my mind.
I'm glad you enjoyed our bloodgultch remake, it was so incredibly fun recreating such an iconic map in Infinite's graphics and the amount of tools 343 has given us in forge. We're going to continue recreating more maps but of course create new maps and modes that hopefully the Halo community will enjoy!
LOVE all these maps! Also Digletts isn't a new concept. I created the minigame as "Snipe-A-Mole" back in Reach and then remade it in Halo 4 and H2A. I was going to remake it in Infinite but it seems like someone beat me to it 🤣
This video actually made me excited for Infinite again. Ive played a bit since the winter update, but not too much matchmaking, and now I wish I had enough ppl to load up a BTB match on these maps
It's truly astonishing what the community is capable of doing with forge. We can single handedly revive a game through creating fun maps and custom games. Shows the passion people have for halo. Props to 343 for making forge even better.
Like I said in the game night, Solution looks just like Doom 3's aesthetic, and it's just gorgeous man. Thanks for hosting the game night btw, was really fun!
This video made me really happy. The game still has a way to go as far as sandbox content and adding a real progression system among other things, but this is what we needed 🙏🏼
Nah. Hear me out, I have an idea that improves yours in the second paragraph. 343i has done quite enough, thank you. Time for the community to take over. The only thing 343i needs to do at this juncture is make it easier for us to showcase our work. 343 Industries has proven that if they sit down and shut up while we do the heavylifting, their game can shine. Give us resources to fix your fucking dumpster fire game, 343. Don't even argue, just do it. At this point, Forge and the actual gameplay loop/sandbox is the only thing it has going for it. Every single mode, map, and balance decision made by 343 sucks, but that which the community has shown they can improve hundredfold. Cosmetics are an expensive joke. Improvements to their "live service" are virtually-unnoticeable updates to a live service that should never have launched. Forge is the mouth-to-mouth that Halo Infinite needs, and it's not the devs that are improving their standing here. At this point, they need to make what I call an Honored playlist, a playlist chock-full of rotating player-made maps that the community praises. Hell, make different versions of this playlist: Honored, Honored Legacy, and Honored Hall of Fame. Regular Honored is the rotating community content, Honored Legacy is the top-rated map remakes of older Halo titles (just like you suggest, except it's the fans who make it and not 343), and Honored Hall of Fame is the playlist that remains somewhat static of the top-rated of all time community content. That has your request for throwback playlists without 343 fucking it up themselves. Let fans make the throwback maps, it's clear that they know how to do it better than 343.
this ^^ i know its likely to happen anyway, but would love to see a periodic feature: eg - this month's best forge maps and additions - would be a great series!
I would say it's a leap more than a step. A Hulk-sized leap. But remember that it's not 343i that's improving the game: this is all on us, the community. Infinite needs to sit back and let the rest of us improve their game. Forge has proven many things--the least of which is that it proves that the devs' decisions for BTB were god-awful. Game modes, maps, balance--it all sucks, and Forge is proving that it can be done 10x better if 343i just sits down, shuts up, and lets the rest of us improve their dumpster fire piece of shit game. It doesn't have to be an uphill battle for the devs. Literally, the only thing they need to do is give us more tools to make their game better. Give us community spotlight playlists (which I called Honored playlists), give us flexible game modes, improve the Fireteam experience by letting us more-easily matchmake with custom content, custom games browsers that work more fluidly with the type of game you're running, and just overall do the exact opposite of "Lone Wolf". 343i needs to adopt a new philosophy: stay out of the players' way. We are the dreamers. We are the ones paying your bills. Give us the tools we need to make Friday Night Halo a roaring success. Squash bugs, end your live service, and let Forge be the beacon that leads your company to the success it can one day have.
What I love about HCE BTB maps is they're just made to be fun. You can hardly call most of them balanced but they're guaranteed fun every time. Since the flights I thought they'd work really well with Infinite's equipment and movement. I was definitely looking forward to making Danger Canyon as well. Guess I'll go for a Banished version or more aesthetically pleasing version. Assuming someone doesn't beat me to it, which they probably will. I'm doing a classic Turf remake myself. I'm sure by this time next month basically every previous Halo map will be remade. At least every map from the first three games.
*So happy to hear the excitement back in HiddenXperia again. Forge was a MASSIVE win for Halo Infinite…hopefully they can continue to keep moving in a positive direction!🙏🏼*
You know what's also great? Anybody can enjoy any map at anytime thanks to the new AI that 343 put into Infinite. Back in Halo 5 there were so many good maps that I wish I could have played with a lot of other people but never got to because said maps weren't popular in the custom games browser, but with the AI you can get the halo multiplayer experience (or at least a decent recreation of it) on any map you want, anytime you want. I can only imagine how happy 10 years old me would have been to see such limitless possibility, and it warms my heart.
I’m so happy to see you being positive on this game! I’ve always had fun in it and I just couldn’t take another season of the fan base not enjoying this flawed but awesome awesome game.
I was a little disappointed the Valhalla remake was so flat, so I figured I'd try making a more direct remake. I'm almost done a 1:1 scale base, but I'll probably just release it as a prefab this weekend once it's finished & call it there. From what I've already seen, someone out there can & will make it better than I possibly could.
Played lockout with some people that lobbied up with lfg and had a great time, the social aspect of Halo is back and it was sorely missed, war bound looks incredibly fun
Yes, the Lockout remake for Infinite is absolutely stunning. Lockout was my favorite map of all time and they truly nailed it, from weapons, spawns, grenades, etc. It's such a fun map.
343 could literally just add all of these (the finished ones and future finished versions) to matchmaking and just be done, would be an absolutely absurd update that everyone would love
That last map has me stoked. In the past, mods were the only way you could get that to work in Halo Custom Games. But now it's made with all of the game's assets? Yeah, the future's looking great.
A map that I really loved was Alpine Assault by Nikos4476 and KevinIsNice6484. It's huge and perfect for BTB. I played CTF on it, and at first it seemed a little too big but it reminded me of the scale of a Battlefield map. There were so many different ways I could attack the enemy base, we played twice on it and each time it was a totally new experience. Huuge props to Nikos and KevinIsNice.
I really dont think we should have faith in "Halo" because all forge tells us is the community is still the best part of it, and 343 still genuinely doesnt care considering it took over a year to get Forge. Unless general customizations and progression turn into Reach like we were told it'd be similar too, Halo wont have my faith with the current monetization system. Shouldve never been free to play in the first place.
Just browsing the custom maps and playing against bots has gotten me back into the game in a big way. The importance of community-made content in Halo can not be understated.
Awesome completion of probably most of the the greatest Forge maps out now! I’ll save this to go back to and just come to you each time I need a great forge map when they start rolling more out!
Speed Halo isn't from the original creator, the original creator is Darth Human, and he stated on his Xbox bio saying he's making his own map with scripting, etc
Playing custom games has been a blast, there's so much that you can do. I'm trying out forge and making maps, and my one forge project at the moment is also a chiron tl34 map, i'm trying to make it as accurate to the original as possible rather than themed.
I was playing on highrise with some friends that i used to play MW2 with back in the day for about 7 hours last night was the most fun i had in halo in a LONG time lol whoever made that map thank you
Another classic you might remember Hidden, the one you thought was like toystory or grounded, if you've played Army men sarge's war you'll love the map even more
These maps look AMAZING! Thank you for showing all these people’s hard work and I’m looking forward to more! There’s a lot more other people with great maps you can share as well as you said in the video impossible to find them all!
At 12:30 the sniping crouch custom is actually a remake of a party game made back in Reach forgot the original name but it came out around the second map pack and was a simple party king of the hill game mode where the last one alive wins.
This is awesome with these fun maps and modes and unique to halo and it's awesome being on maps with everyone and me lol having cad map which still awesome
Forge in this game is super fun, the one thing I've experimented with so far was giving the wrong weapons the properties of campaign weapon variants, resulting in abominations like an 80 shot sniper rifle that does almost no damage and an assault rifle that fires rockets
I'm honestly debating on just finishing out the layout of my map and seeing about having someone do the fine details and aesthetic touches 😅 still getting a handle on everything that's possible now aha
Seeing containment on Halo Infinite is wild. That map fucks so hard. :) On another note, hearing Xperia call Chiron TL-34 the best map of all time makes me very happy. :D
I played through the whole first year and developed a crippling hopim addiction for one reason. Halo infinite ganeplay is my favorite in the series. You can find my comments all over the place complaining just like everyone else. But i GOT my twitch drops, my event unlocks (except tenrai because the challenge system was so ass back then) and i bought my battle passes (nothing else). Because I knew eventually, if there was forge, halo infinite may become the next garryxs mod in terms of gaming. If they can keep this up, we will see actman and others start doing videos about the biggest comeback in gaming history. Not to say that it will ever be as good as it could have been. But i am glad i stuck along for the ride.
pro tip for party hosts on custom games, if youre looking for some incredible kong slayer maps, Hang 'em High Redux and Warlock are AMAZING for kong slayer. warlock is great for 4v4 kongs and Hang is great for BTB kong slayer or 16+ player FFA kong. seriously, give them a try.
Thanks for showing off my Containment. It still needs some terrain work. I also just can’t seem to figure out how to get stockpile to work. I have the seeds and the plant spots. I had them all set to the proper teams. If anyone knows how to get it working I’ll get it in there asap. I’m glad you enjoy it though. It means a lot to me.
Man I cannot wait to get my map finished. I’m making a BTB map in a New Mombasa district, and I’m making sure to have as much story telling elements on the map as possible, while still being balanced for PvP. I know HiddenXperia will love it.
Now that you mention it, there are sooo many CoD maps I'd like to see in Halo! Overgrown would be a great one, as well as Skidrow. I want to see someone make these in Halo
