In Canada, Walmart has these sku-listed, but due to supply issues common to pretty much all gold-tier Hot Wheels they are practically never seen. I end up buying the ones I want on the resale market.
It is fun seeing collections and reviews like this one. Sometimes I find the ones others hate to be the ones I love. my favorite was the Ford set with the F-150 being the top prize for me. It is a difficult job for any diecast manufacturers as almost every car has been done once by someone. The bottom line is by searching out producing the oddball and one off cars like that Volkswagen super car we get something different. When I come across a weird car like the ID. R if they are well done, I do not mind picking them up. But most people, myself included, can't afford to get everything. So sometimes we end up with peg hangers.
We only got one stock of this set too. Then they restocked with older sets. In Canada they are available in Walmarts. The sets come in 4's with the gulf as the extra.
The set you are missing 90% of collectors are missing. Supposedly there was an issue with Target and the inability to get the cars into their POS system. I pre-ordered a case having no idea and now am sitting in something a little rare.
You mentioned boring repeat castings DJK. In 2023 a HW track day set featured a "Sauber-Mercedes C9". Then a 2024 Team Transport set also featured a "Sauber-Mercedes C9". Not a favourite of mine but twice in less than a year. HW's idea team take note and get more creative with different vehicle idea's!!!!!
I got the Ford Bronco R / '17 Ford Raptor (my favorite here) and the VW Jetta / iD R 2-packs. I left the Lancia 037 / Fiat 131 Abarth behind as it didn't do anything for me. In South Europe at least, these sets were abundant in toy stores btw. Thanks for the unboxing.
Nothing, and I mean NOTHING at the closest Target (30mins away). I went in there today, and ZERO premiums, pegs completely empty. I got what I needed for the Alfa mail-in, and I doubt I'll be back. Ridiculous.
@@Championdjk Yes, thats great! Thank you! I know you do, i love your videos about autoworld, greenlight, M2, some retro stuff and true scale by chinese brands. The only point is hot wheels, its super boring and not really my thing. But its my opinion. Anyway, your collection is amazing, keep on going champ! Respect!
