Looks stunning, really nice details. I worked for Ford for many years, and had one brand new (RS09FAN) keeping it for around eighteen months. I sold one in Frozen white like yours to a local customer who still owns it. Kept in bubble, it's still only covered 130 miles. Incredible car and I think so much better than the MK3 that everyone seems to rave about.
Wow that will be worth a lot of money now! They are such special cars though. I’m trying to strike a balance of keeping it tidy and still getting out there in the summer and using it. Always puts a smile on my face 😃
Been following your MK2 RS clips for a while...giving me a smile as you are now doing what I should have done back in 2012 when I sold my RS MK2 Lux pack 1 in Frozen white after 3 and a bit years of very enjoyable motoring putting 43,000 miles on the car....it's the car I look back on knowing I should have kept and used as a weekend car....keep up the good work...
Thanks Shaun. They really are great cars, but at least you had those 3 years with it and no doubt have some good memories 😊 I’ll be putting a bit more content out there on this car over the next few weeks so stay tuned 😃
Gel badges look well smart!. 👌 You have inspired me now, next show I go to they will be my next purchase. I de-badged my focus letters on my ST. The ST badges front and rear are from the factory I reckon, only 16 years old lol. Your RS looks stunning mate. 🤍 👍.
I’m not a big Ford fan but I think your car looks really nice and I think the rear fog light replacement for the left hand drive one was very clever and improves the rear no end 👍
I like the way of your thinking. Like you id much rather spend the money in keeping my car looking fresh and just how it left the factory. My wheels are so ready for doing now and the front end needs tidying. Once they’re done I know it will lift the whole car! 👍
Awesome video and some great new additions, I know I've mentioned this before but PLEASE buy a quick shift gear kit they're only about £50 and a DIY fit but will transform an already amazing car
Nice video mate! We are on a surprisingly similar journey with our cars. The DMB RS badges make such a difference. I also added the crossover pipe one on mine to match 👍
Thanks James. I do like the crossover one but I have a black / white / yellow theme going on with my engine bay so not sure the blue would go. We must get our cars together next year!
@@CarFocused Yeah I'd be up for that 👍 I'm just about to change the rear discs and pads on mine to match the front. Also bought brand new splash guards as that will make a difference. Think you mentioned you'd also done the same on yours?
@@CarswithJamesMosley I bought the guards a couple of years ago, so will change them when the discs need doing again. I do plan on giving the underside a good clean this winter!
I’ve loved following your journey with this car so far mate! If I’d have bought it then I’d have done all the same things! It just looks perfect now - so much better now than it did when you got it with all the nasty black grilles, stripes and wheels... so fresh in comparison now. Was lovely to see it and admire it at fordfair. Out of interest, has the previous owner ever contacted you since you’ve had it? Just wondered with it being ‘out there’ on the ‘net whether you”d had the ‘that was mine’ and ‘you’ve undone all my work’ mails lol
Hi Gaz, thanks for the comment! With regards to the previous owner - his son actually works at the same place as my wife, and he follows the car on Instagram. His Dad (the previous owner) also follows me too, but he hasn’t expressed any opinions on what I’ve done to the car. I think they approve though, I mean, who wouldn’t!? 😁😉
Mate if your planning on keeping it then i'd recommend getting it minimum stage 2 paint corrected and PPF the full front end bumper/bonnet/wings/mirrors. Then you got piece of mind and it will look and be so much easier to maintain cleaning wise. I had mine done in the summer its not cheap but worth it as I'm not doing anymore to the car paintwork is the last thing 👍🏼
Hi mate - paintwork and undernside will be next on the list 😃 Need to get the arches done and a few other little bits before paint protection. It is well worth it though I agree!
@@CarFocused I got my bumper resprayed as the stone chips were bad everything else is 99% near mint 👍🏼 I sprayed the whole underside and arches with this stuff called Lanoguard amazing stuff real easy to apply
Hi Garry just wondering did you have any issues with the wheel spacers I have herd that you have to take a few mm off or they don’t fit they foul on the wheels. Thanks
9 months on and I still have to admit I miss mine, far from standard, but it's been replaced with my first ever proper M car, and what a difference, but the 5 pot still sounds better and had soul man....
Hi , have just my mk 2 RS , picking it up at the end of the month when I move , it will be kept in my garage and stored over the winter unless I get some dry days to take her out , can tell me what trickle charger you have and where I can purchase a decent cover for her ??
The mk3 RS wheel nuts seem to be more durable and solid than those on the mk2. And they look a lot better too. No signs of the covers coming off on mine 👍🏻
@@CarFocused it's when you take the wheel off and the socket will round the covers off!!, i replaced with solid nuts straight away. Ford covers are a disaster
Bit disappointed to hear youre going down the mountune flash map route still. Theres absolutely no requirement for a catback just fyi, all they do is add noise. All the flow comes from upgrading the downpipe or the cat section; even a 2.75" catback would flow enough for 375bhp. Youll needlessly be spending a small fortune on a mountune or collins 6 bar fuel pump too. The FMIC and bigger injectors + remap is all thats really needed, but sure its your money :)
Haha yea I get the point you don’t approve by now 😂 Something I’m going to get done eventually though. Nearly there! Appreciate you’re only trying to help though 👍🏻
Can't watch these videos now, HDR kills the contrast and washes out the colours on every video unless you are running a HDR device. I see a lot of RU-vidrs doing this and it's a problem for many subs. HDR is for movies mostly and really brings nothing to the table shot and viewed on smart phones. HDR really isn't better in these situations and alienates a lot of viewers.
@@CarFocused yeah you must have HDR enabled on your phone settings or in RU-vid. Honestly recording on a phone in those settings makes no difference. I wish I could show you what it looks like. It's like the brightness is on 100%, if I watch on my TV it's fine because it has HDR but I best most people don't have a HDR enabled device and RU-vid forces you to watch it in HDR if it's uploaded/recorded in that format.
