year in still going strong. regrease diffs every month or so and tighten screws ever so often and ya be good. run mine on 3s thou. 4092 can motor never gets hot no matter how long i run it.
She's a winner!! Roger that Govna, I'm right at that point of ordering myself a brand new RC (fat Xmas gift to myself, Taa very much!), and it's down to this one, the RedCat Kaiju and the Team Associated MT. I'm about to pull the trigger on one of 'em. I know I really like the ZD product, but, I'm loving the others as well!! SO, it's a toss up bro. Thanks to your "testing" and QC, think I know which one I'm going to pick up. Cheers!! 👍💯💥
@@TomleyRC Thanks Gov, I appreciate your input, especially after the "few" RC vehicles you've reviewed!! 👍💯 P. S do you still have your HPI Ken Block Rally car mate? I was wondering wether you'd fancy selling that to me out here in California. Sweet!! Alright Gov.
Pretty impressive car, dude! Fantastic! 😃 But those tires... 🙄 It looks like the Captain America fighting! 😬 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Hi mate.. Its is durable enough to bash jump?.. I see u enjoy using 6s motor and its really wheelie that much.. So much torque.. The gearbox support that power?
When is this coming again I wanna see what that surpass system can do I got the same esc .I think surpass hobby is very underrated I have a lot of there stuff and never had a problem knock on wood
Is the stock centre diff a plastic gear that the motor pinion drives to ?, I noticed in your speed run the front suspension metal part came loose, Do you think that is a weakness, as i can't find aluminium ones or even replacement plastic front suspension arms, Will setting the ESC to soft start reduce the amount of front lift ?.
Seems to be plenty of parts about... Diffs, arms etc.. I've got the SCT one as well. I blew a diff running it 6s on Badlands (lots of grip!)... but other than that they seem pretty tough! Just need a good going over before you run them. Make sure everything is free and greased. 3s/4s usually
I bought the kit with no electronics what is the stock pinion mod1 or 32 pitch cause i have a castle 1515 2200kv that came with a 18t 32 pitch pinion not sure if i can run a 32 pitch pinion or mod1?
I had one come in from Banggood in pretty rough condition and instead of just trashing it, I'm regrettably trying to rebuild it. The last thing that I need to sort out is a bent rear dogbone. I see there are replacements available on banggood but they will take a month to get here. Do you know of any comp models that would have interchangeable parts for this hog? HPI86054 looks quite close at 8x142mm I also swapped out the nubby tires for Proline's belted trenchers but afraid they might be too heavy.
What did you think about those zd racing tires? Other then being bigger and not going as fast do they grip and hold up good I was thinking of getting a set for my hpi savage
I have one of these I am building. But would like to change the body. I would like a buggy body, but was wondering if anyone knew any other body's that would work on this?
Thanks for the review. How you managed to find anywhere thst sells ZD racing spares at all please? I'm having trouble finding a spare part supplier, having just bought a dbx10
Partially good and also very bad: Only common spare parts at good prices but you will never find some other parts. Be warned everyone complain about LOW quality plastic on this car, breaking easy on little jumps if bad landing on even with good landing if higher than 5 feets high. The chassis is reputed to bend super easy and you will be super lucky if you receive a car without troubles out of the box. Got mine with broken body (fixed it with duck tape and could not see the damage now), a slightly bended rear dog bone, some screws unscrewing at 1rst half run (missing loctite on it), and best of all my car make such a noise I would be surprise if it last more than 2 runs. Have a look on FB owners group before buying: It seems noone really happy to have it and everyone complaining about broken plastic and chassis bending. Sad to see the only videos saying this car is good are videos with affiliated links.
ive been running mine on 6s with no issues, however it does like to get extremely hot if youre being hard on the throttle, ypu can run them on 4s all day with no heat problems but i think they should be rated more for 2-4s
Out of the Box: until 4S np For 6S you just need to change the ESC. And as fun the Tires are...switch ASAP. They make a lot a stability trouble ~~> Broken parts Though Beast. A real Rock'n Roller ;) You should be able with just ESC upgrade and 6S lipos, to reach *110 kmh* instead 80kmh (on street!)
