How expensive was it to get into at first?

Not too bad but not that cheap either. I had some brewing equipment already so it just required assembling a still. The main thing you need is to learn why everything is there and how it all works together. Getting a product worth drinking takes a lot more thought and effort than most would use. I'm English so we don't do much outdoors here so using an electric still is ideal, just need to know exactly what you're doing before you start building one.

This might be a stupid question but as a recovering alcoholic I love watching this show for some reason 🤣🤣 but my question is if your a moonshiner are you getting drunk all the time? I think about that watching the show like are these guys drinking that potent stuff everyday? Good look by the way

Think of it like making any other product, just because you can make it doesn't mean you have to consume it all. I save what I want then share the rest, not worth profiting from it with the risks there is

I personally think this show is part real part fake, I say part real because these folks really do know what they r talking about ( making shine ), but part fake because no reality show is 100%real. If these ol boys were truly drinking as many swigs of real shine as they show then they would be drunk as cooter brown and passed out. I don't care how much of a Professional Drunk u r , my daddy took his career of being a professional drunk SERIOUS and NC moonshine is something he sipped through the night if he didn't then the night would be SHORT LOL, ur still GONA get a GOOD buzz off that high proof shine. Just my opinion but I think it's part real and part fake. These ol boys know what they r talking about but I don't believe they r bringing that much spotlight on their shine activities. I'm thinking maybe they are not actually moonshining , illegally, at the time of the show, maybe they r legally making it or they are not doing it during the show. I have NEVER met a moonshiner that ADVERTISED there business on TV, moonshiner's are a SECRETIVE bunch, tight lipped, good old boy's that won't deal with u unless they know u or ur kin going back generations or someone they trust who they have known for generations knows u and ur kin going back to ur GREAT GPa

I usually let my apples and cinna sticks soak in ot for awhile. Makes the apple slice a nice alcy snack for later

I tried some a couple weeks ago for the first time. It was so good it was really hard to put down. It was so smooth and slightly sweet I swear I could've drank it all at once from the bottle lol

no way. he would be pissed, the guy killed himself because they were going to lock him up because of some liquor he had made ages ago that they found on his property and then shortly after he died it all becomes popular as hell and gets 2 tv shows and everyone is getting rich meanwhile he had to shoot himself to escape prison, so even if he didnt kill himself he would be behind bars right now, i hardly think he is happy about it.

Do both. Personally I have done both and really love making moonshine, it is however a lot more time consuming than portrayed on tv.
