This week, I created another monster hunt diorama featuring a terrifying snake. The little hunting party has a sneaky plan to catch the snake, but I'm not convinced things will pan out in their favor.

The hunter's plan works perfectly, they escape the canyon, leaving the fallen archway in the snake's path. While they are busy celebrating their success, the snake realizes that it's not bound by the borders of the diorama, and simply slithers around the rock to devour the cowboys.

Absolutely stunning. You should definitely tap into the “van meter visitor”, it’s an pterosaur like creature that was spotted in Iowa 1903 in the mid west. the monster has a great wings and a horn that glows a blinding light and was said to fly around and would reside in the mines. Reports say it loves to perch on top of roof tops, I think it would fit perfectly into your Wild West aesthetic.

Something I stumbled across that I think could be a cool addition to this series is a giant vulture; more specifically the Argentavis. It weighed around 70kg, with a wingspan of about 7 meters. There could be a scene at night of it diving towards a camp of pioneers, with a ring of covered wagons on the outside, with the campfire only just illuminating the beast for a moment before it snatches one of the travelers.

I know you already get a lot of requests and suggestions for the Wild Imaginary West, but I personally would love to see either more unusual and "fantastical" locales and setpieces, as well as monsters and creatures from the Wild Imaginary West that aren't as aggressive towards people, if that wouldn't be too much to ask. I actually had an idea that I think I would work for both, of a Giant Magpie that uproots trees to make their nests, but also picks over ruined Mechs and destroyed buildings, and if it finds any chunks or pieces that it particularly likes, it steal them and works those parts into it's nest. Over time, the nest becomes a weird jumble of wood and technology, and maybe some salvagers try to sneak into the nest to find anything of value and get out before the bird comes back.

*checks watch* Oh, it's math time. so using the base length of the front-most guy in this shot (1:49 about 1.5 inches) I am able to determine that the length of the gun that the back grey guy in the back of the shot is around 1.25 inches. assuming this is an 1873 Winchester hunting rifle this means that 1.25 inches in the diorama are equal to 39 inches in real life. To make the math easier I'll divide 39 by five (7.8) and then multiply it by 4 (31.2) to get the length in the diorama equal to one flat inch so now we know that for every 1 IRL inch there are 31.2 inches in the diorama. Moving onto the snake I was able to count the number of inches the snake is (using this shot 2:57) as 21 inches, adding our IRL to Diorama formula (31.2*21) I can determine that this snake is 655.2 inches, equating to 54.6 feet or 16.64 meters, the longest snake ever recorded was medusa who was only 7.67 meters long or 32 feet 9.5 inches, less than half of our canyon slither lad. Wow.
