@@Mayyhin8cost kidd needs a don attached to activate his ability that forces the opponent to only target him if he is rested. Uta gives him a rested don so you don’t need to spend an extra don to activate kidds ability. The new uta is also a 6k blocker which helps keep your kidd alive.
It will def be good for the 8c Kid on even curve and it can act as a cycler if on your 4 don turn, play her, activate main, attach don to lead, and then swing lead to use leader ability.
Sengoku is a lot more than just trash filler. It unbricks hand, draw 3 is a massive dig for non searchable like gecko and rebecca all for 1c and since it's neutral in handsize it's basically a qc searcher to bump consistency for navy
Does anyone know how many copies of the new cards are included in these decks? I’m assuming that sr’s are a 2 of but what about the new rares and commons?
Official channel posted a video on the new decks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LwetIHXoeVE.htmlsi=DBLKcwima0CkXfeQ someone in the comments time stamped all the times they showed the deck lists. For all of the new cards (5 for each color), it basically goes like: 2-2-2-4-4 And generally every other reprint in the deck is a 4 of.
That 2c blackbeard sounds amazing in the zoro sanji 2 cost storm build. Sometimes i want things back on top so ivankov or parage shot hits it. And the don attachment is great as well
Just gonna give my 2 cents here for the yellow starter deck and purple. First of all the yellow starter is not a great hit, i think everybody knows that, BUT the cards that can see play wich are the SR and definitely the new 2k brulee i think they are meant to fix the curve play on katakuri to go first, i ahve been trying the kata and found out going first is strong is just that you need to make sure to defend early attacks so you dont let accidentally when good trigger that you would want to bottom life go, with these new cards, you can play better on going first curve while STILL using leader effect, i still think these cards are weak for the kata overall but for budget options, very solid if you adapt your curve, the rest of the cards are big mom leader support and not kata support in my opinion. As for the purple Starter, i have been finding some of the effects very odd, some (like the new wano usopp) are just straight up an upgrade effect from the previous purple straw hats, but the new luffytaro and zoro searcher are very very odd and i think they will complement a better upgrade in OP09 with probably new support for them, as for the cards themselves, the commons are straight upp just upgrades for people playing the more straw hat version of the red/purple luffy but its a fun archtype for purple luffy if you are just looking to play on theme and not be competitive.
Lot of amazing stuff here. I wonder if any of these leaders are going to show up against RP Law. Would be nice to see enough of a meta shift to even things out and prevent a ban.
Is the full card list available for the other 11 reprint cards or whatever? Hoping those will drive down the prices on some of the older cards I am still missing.
Haven’t seen it on the official website yet, but the official Japanese channel posted a video on the 27th ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-LwetIHXoeVE.htmlsi=DBLKcwima0CkXfeQ someone in the comments timestamped all of the times they showed the deck lists. Generally speaking, all of the cards that aren’t new are 4 of, maybe 1 or 2 exceptions.
I have to disagree with you on the Uta blocker, if you're playing the deck well, you're bound to have an abundance of cards in hand. From Nami swings, and Leader effect.
yep, basically a trash 1 draw 1 kind of ability if you used all your don for the turn and didnt have an extra one to attach for leader effect. which happens pretty often
Fully intending on making a revolutionary deck with Sanji, cards like Morrley, Lindberg, Inazuma and Ivankov having rush while also activating their effects is just nutty.
allthough the kata reprint IS confirmed in the premium set, i would tell to wait even after the reprint comes out in the UK, per example, katakuri leader is already dropping the card completely in their decklist and some otehrs are dropping their number of copies per deck, so maybe holding on to the money isnt such a bad idea. As for the release date in the west, it hasn't got a date yet. And don't worry for th op06 next week starts op07 i would start looking at the future of the strategy.
@@John-bu4ik Dunno, would have to look up some replacements in op07, i know in op08 there are many more options but for op07 enel is one of the few if not the only one that plays 4 katakuri. If you want to buy them sure, but i dunno man spending so much money for 4 cards doesnt compute in my brain, per example, instead of buy 4 bon clays i managed to buy almost every big mom card (except katakuri), get 2 katakuri starter decks pre ordered and 1 purple luffy starter and still didnt surpass the money of the 4 copies, didnt even reach the same number and already have 3 decks for the future that are usable and competitive instead of getting 4 cards for just one set. its just to me there are cards that you can play, versions that are a bit more budget, without losing so much power is just a matter of research, besides i wanted bon clay for rp law and realized he isnt used in op08 so no need to buy him now, and i dont even miss him in op07 so yeah dont even feel the diff.
@@GrenadierSquad I think the big difference is Uta can be done every turn whereas Boa is just on play. Uta blocker plays into both 8c Kid and Leader being able to draw a card with that one don making it more of a cycle
