I agree with Nintendo Prime here. It depends on what this message was exactly. "Please ready your third party software for Q1 2025" or "be ready for Switch 2 release in Q1 2025". They might still release hardware in 2024 with few first party games for holidays and leave big third party stuff for a bit later, avoiding frontloading
Yeah we just don't know. I think right now we can hope for 2024, but have to prepare for 2025. I really want to see what form this new hardware is taking, but at least there are still plenty of great Switch games in my backlog.
Nintendo Prime is the only sane RU-vidr in all of this along with AndresRestart being the only other sensible and logical person, the rest are just behaving like entitled and spoiled brats throwing their toys out of their prams.
@@Adamtendo_player_1prime is just like other Nintendo RU-vidrs spreading misinformation. Only a few guys out there with actual information that isn’t shared daily.
The momentum with the switch right now is really good, if all the rumors are true and Nintendo only puts short titles this year, it could kill the momentum the switch has right now and we could see another wii u, I hope it release this year with 1 or 2 big titles just to have some momentum until 2025.
Easily Nintendo can announce Metroid Prime 4 for current Switch next month. Switch need to pass that PS2 sales, need another 1 year. Maybe next month also Nintendo announcing Switch price cut
All it needs to launch with to have a solid launch is a 3D Mario, Pokemon Gen 5 remakes, maybe a Kirby/Yoshi game and a few third party games like Balders Gate 3 and FF7 Rebrth.
Which is why Nintendo needs to announce the next wave of titles coming to OG Switch otherwise it won’t make sense for the new system not to come out in 2024.
I am very curious what Nintendo is cooking? We could still get a mini Direct of some sort this month, but why are they so quiet if there's no plans for Switch 2 this year? You'd expect them to keep distracting us with OG Switch news, but there's been nothing lately, it's so dry 😅
I think that Metroid Prime 4 will either launch this year exclusive to Switch 1, or it will launch a few months after Switch 2 as a cross-gen game. I think it wouldn't be good as a launch title since Nintendo typically likes to do Mario or Zelda, and Metroid isn't up to that caliber. But even if they did both Mario and Metroid, Mario would completely overshadow it.
Nintendo wants to raise the tier level of Metroid, it might not hit Mario/Zelda tier, but they could raise it to a secondary tier, like a Smash Bros level. I am 100% sure that Prime 4 will be on Switch 1. I don't see a point in doing a cross gen version since backwards compatibility on the new system would let you play all four primes on both systems anyway.
@@ItApproaches Smash Bros isn't a second tier Nintendo franchise seller! It's 6th all time Nintendo list. And that's with not many games releasing regularly. Smash Bros is a first tier Nintendo franchise seller! But anyway hopefully Metroid franchise gets a big boost in popularity for Metroid Prime 4. Like The Legend Of Zelda did with BOTW.
@@ItApproaches Only Metroid Prime is available on the Switch. Metroid Prime Remastered. Metroid Prime 2, 3 aren't available on the Switch! The Switch sucessor will be backwards compatible only with Switch games. Not Gamecube, Wii, Wii U games.
I really hope that if Nintendo Switch 2 releases in 2025 we finally get Twilight Princess and Wind Waker on Switch. Like came on Nintendo, we've been asking for them for so long now 😔
You asked how we felt about the recent delays and so on. Personally I am discouraged and disheartened. Maybe I should re-start my Animal Crossing island - - that could cheer me up, and maybe get me through these delays.
I just massively upgraded my PLEX Server and built a new high end gaming PC, so if Switch 2 doesn’t come out until March of next year… my wallet and I will be happy lol. My kids may be a bit disappointed but they are still so happy with the current Switch and so am I. It’s still a great system that my family and I truly enjoy. We’ve been going through FF Pixel Remaster games, TOTK, and Mario RPG lately (let alone the other 40 games in our library that we haven’t beaten yet). So there’s still a lot for us to catch up with. It’ll be all good. 😎👍
if Nintendo and third parties are already struggling now and have to delay next gen by roughly 5 to 6 months will that be enough time or will next gen have to be pushed back even further?
It also makes sense to push it into March 2025 because we will be in a presidential election cycle in the USA around the same time they wanted to launch it. That would distract heavily from the marketing.
Switch 2 still could come out with few first party games later this year Andres. I'm fine with this. If the switch 2 enhanced backwards compatibility rumor is true. I can play my current switch back log games on the switch 2.
I guess this also explains why there are no more DLCs either. It's all hands deck to try and get a lot of games out for the Switch 2 launch year, and there is no time to do anything else. Or it is all nonsense. Either way, seems Nintendo has to announce either games or the next console (whenever it launches) before the next investors meeting. Nintendo can't expect to go into that with only two remasters for the rest of the year. I suspect Nintendo has to talk about the next console even if it is much more than six months away.
Or a way to help boost Switch 2 sales at launch would be a November release and have a Pokemon Black/White remake special edition Switch 2. Pokemon themed systems always sell a ton.
The console the Switch and its successor were always planed as 10 yesr runs each. The reason we are seeing a q1 2025 which will also be delayed to either sept 2025 or march or april og 2026 is not due to hardware or software development issues. The biggest issue is partners projects due to TV, Musiv, Movies that are being timed with the game releases. 😊 I will keep you posted.
I’m ok if this is true that they want a March release of 2025 I be there on day one. But they can be still coming in 2024 like September or November and they telling these people to get ready for 2025 for they don’t bombshell the switch 2 but have games slow release for 2025 and beyond. 😂
If they can make prime 4 look comparable in quality to the Metroid prime remaster then they could definitely be on switch, I’m just not sure it’s going to have all the features or ofc as good of graphics.
Jeff Grubb timing is off when it comes to his predictions Andres. Take anything switch 2 related rumors like a grain of salt 🧂 people. Hype responsibly all.
9:13 exactly, without this such games, a console is not worthy, it need a variety of good/amazing games(both smaller/huge scale games) to be deen worthy.
If ninetendo launches twilight princes wind waker prime 2 and 3 and prime 4 on switch itll be enough to get through the year and focus on switch launch switch 2 next year in march easy win for nintendo
11:40 VGC/Eurogamer and Bloomberg’s sources reported a delay to 2025, theres no way this mean, Europe, USA e japan get Switch sucessor in 2024, while Brazil and others countries in 2025, Nintendo now alway operate in a worldwide basis, every game/console they release is a worldwide release.
On Bloomberg right now Andres. Due to the switch 2 delayed to early next year rumors. Nintendo 's stock is taking a huge plunge right now. Sounds like your losing your switch 2 console bingo.
Stock will rebound later in the year. And surge near the Switch sucessor reveal and release date. Plus Nintendo are making more money than ever from outside sources - merchandise, theme parks, movies etc.
The jump in visuals from Wii U to switch wasn't that vast....um well it kinda was as the Switch was a DROP in visual quality from the Wii U. As the Wii U didn't struggle to reach 1080p 60fps...
a delay of 4 to 6 months and a lot of things Current Nintendo Switch will last on the market for 8 years that's absurd this console is weak and outdated the longer Nintendo takes to launch the Nintendo Switch 2 the more outdated it will be Nintendo mercenary rubbish all of this just to make more money with current switch 👎👎👎👎👎👎
Im Team 2025 because the first party lineup could be insane. Imagine it comes out March next year and the 1st year games are 3D Mario, MP4, New DK game, New StarFox, and something I haven’t heard anyone mention, Metroid 6
Metroid 6 wont happen. As the team explained, Dread was the conclusion of that story of Samus. They could make a NEW story of her, but it wouldn't be Metroid 6, would just be a new starting point for her next journey.
Weirdest thing regarding Star Fox. In the Wii U era, especially after Zero, if someone told me Nintendo was making a new Star Fox, I would have laughed them out of the room. That franchise was doomed to languish in obscurity until the next Smash Bros. But now, I have faith that it could come back in some shape or form. I think it was seeing the characters in Starlink: Battle for Atlas.
I want a Switch port of Yoshi's Woolly World, a double pack of Triple Deluxe & Planet Robobot for Switch, Switch port of F-Zero GX, Super Mario 3D All Stars Plus for Switch which gives us; 64, Sunshine, 64 DS, Galaxy 1, Galaxy 2, & 3D Land. I also want a Switch port of Fire Emblem: Genealogy Of The Holy War, & a new Rhythm Heaven game for Switch!
I’m fed up with the doom and gloom, the current Switch is selling well still, y’all are acting like the Switch has no games coming out at all, I’m a late comer to the Switch but I’m enjoying my Switch and my library of games, so Switch 2 being delayed isn’t an issue for me, people saying it will be a loss for Nintendo are behaving as if the Switch is in the same position as the Wii U, let Nintendo take all the time it needs so it can have the best possible launch lineup, Nintendo’s gonna be fine and I still have games to play and to buy so I’m not close to being done with my Switch especially as I haven’t had it as long (since October), F all of you, in Nintendo I trust.
The Switch needs a game update, sure there is potential for one more year of worth while games, but we need to know what they are lol. Prime 2 and 3 remastered for example would be at the top of the list. Maybe a Kirby/Yoshi game. Bring over Xenoblade Chronicles X from the Wii U and that's not to bad to get through he year with.
How many games do you need at launch? We don't need 8+ AAA games at launch lol. 3 must have games at launch and a few 3rd parties is fine. You can last 3 months from system launch to where the system kicks off and is off to the races.
@@ItApproachesexactly, I don't know why a lot of people want more than 2 or 3 games at launch. Right now we're in a video game oversaturation, I still need to play games from my backlog.
@@SebastianFierro-z2x Simple, nothing is ever enough for people. I need more money, I need more games, I need more free time, I need MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE lol.
Nintendo is trying to raise the tier level of Metroid. I don't think it will reach Mario/Zelda levels, but it could reach Nintendo's secondary tier level which is say, Smash Bros level.
Also we have to know what the message really says because they maybe already have launched title ready and don’t want to get all these games rush and bomb. So if they release in September we have already major games that can come like Metroid 4 and Pokemon in November and any other games Nintendo has holding that can be crossed gen and maybe call of duty game then if third party come in 2025 then they have a steady release supply of games.?
BoTalksGames was right. #Team2025. While I am ready for a Switch “2”, I am completely happy with my Switch. I still feel like there’s a lot of momentum and potential for the Switch to pass PS2 in sales. A Switch “2” announcement would definitely cause a massive decline and dip is Switch sales. I promise guys, it’s ok. Switch “2” will come when it’s ready.
botalksgames was never right until last week. Dude kept saying 2025 like it was _always_ the plan, but if those reports are true, there was a change of plan. Nothing to gloat about.
@@BoTalksGames then how does it work ? You recently made a video that said “2024 _never_ made sense”. But again, if these reports are true, it means 2024 _absolutely made sense_ for Nintendo and was the year they originally communicated to 3rd parties. Now “#team2025” may end up being correct, but certainly not because of its initial reasoning.
They can launch metroid, mario kart,3d mario and gen 10 pokemon from march 2025-november 2025. That sounds like a perfect launch window for switch 2. There is a 5% hope for 2024 but based on the fact that the wii u and wii had wastelands of a final year its so over
You are assuming on Mario Kart, we all want that but we can't say with 100% certainty that it's a launch/launch window game. 3D Mario yes, and Gen 10 Pokemon of November 2025 is for sure. Metroid ehhh that's up in the air as it's likely that Prime 4 stays Switch exclusive and with backwards compatibility on the new system, all four primes would be playable on it anyway. Lastly, I'm not sure where you pulled 5% from, that's an ass pull.
@ItApproaches the 5% is just how I see it, mario kart, metroid and 3d mario aren't all guaranteed but I think they're logical guesses. Metroid could be an exclusive switch game but I doubt it.
It also makes sense to push it into March 2025 because we will be in an election cycle in the USA around the same time they wanted to launch it. That would distract from the marketing.
@@theblowupdollsmusic WTF? An election in the USA has no relevance to Japan and them releasing a Nintendo system. Plus there will be no election. The USA is done, they will find a way to avoid doing an election. Pandemic 2.0 is soon to come along. "Disease X" as Pfizer and the WHO have stated.
10:02 dont hype yourself and get disapoited later, Switch sucessor game will be basically Switch games in a more higher resolution and that all, you are expecting too much for Nintendo
Better it comes out in 2026 than 2025, these fanboys need to stop rushing the announcement of the next console because it's getting pretty annoying that leakers keep leaking out false information and people like Switchforce, Nintendo Prime, Nin10doland and the rest of these NintendoTubers tend to report them, then official word comes out and then they go on hopium copium and blame Nintendo. if Nintendo launches their next console on Holiday 2026 with a Tech Demo game (like a Wii Sports or Nintendo Land type game,) a new 3D Super Mario, Splatoon 4 and a brand new F-Zero game (not F-Zero 99) the next console could have the strongest launch if it's launch with a new 3D Super Mario
Honestly, I think we're at the point now where we just need to accept it's going to be 2025 at this point. I don't think it was a matter of Nintendo informing third parties about having stuff ready to go for Q1. While yeah, that would be nice to have stuff spread out ... I think the messaging is more "we're gonna be pushing things back a bit." It's disappointing, but I'd rather it be things fall into place and be "right" than have it "right now."
You need to accept when we get it, we get it. Was supposed to be released years ago and every year every Nintendo RU-vidr just keeps saying it's coming year after year. It's coming when it's coming
Well if the switch 2 is backwards compatible they can release prime 4 this holiday and then if you get the switch 2 you can still play prime 4 on it and they release a patch or DLC with the update so at the same time they can charge you for the upgrade in graphics but you still pay because it comes with a DLC ? 😂
8:00 Nintendo want at least 3/4 years worth of amazing games after amazing games, they desire a constant release cadence of masterpiece, masterpiece e masterpiece for Switch sucessor.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Switch successor doesn't come out until 2025. Because if they were truly gonna release it this Christmas, they would have officially announced the console by now, or have given us a codename for the upcoming console. Because the Atlantis was first mentioned in 1996, & then released in 2001 under Game Boy Advance. The Revolution was first mentioned in 2004, & then shown off in 2005, & then released in 2006 under the name Wii. The NX was first mentioned in 2015, then shown off in 2016 under the name Switch, & then released in 2017. Plus, the Switch is doing/selling really well, & Nintendo learned the hard way by discontinuing the Wii early, & releasing the Wii U early that you don't walk away from a slot machine when it's paying off, friends! And they have been known to delay consoles. The 64 was supposed to release in 1995, but was delayed to 1996. Game Boy Advance was supposed to release in 1996, but was delayed to 2001. And, the Switch was supposed to release in 2016, but got delayed to 2017. All I want is a Switch port of Yoshi's Woolly World, & I'll be satisfied!
For me, there are only 2 possible reasons Nintendo would delay Switch 2: 1. Most likely, their lineup games aren’t ready. They’re very probably 3D Mario and/or Mario Kart. If so, this is poor planning from them, both teams in charge haven’t released anything in years (and no MK Tour doesn’t count). 2. They’re delaying the console _on purpose_ to keep its price low. Hardware doesn’t age well and as time passes the T239 SoC would become cheaper. It’s less likely but NVidia is known to be cocky & greedy so that might have been Nintendo’s last resort.
So I have a few thoughts... 1: It's definitly disappointing to hear we'll have to wait longer after it seemed like we were going to get the system this year, I'm more than ready for an upgrade at this point after having my Switch for more than 6 years now 2: That said this might be the best choice if it means a better launch year lineup, in addition to Metroid Prime 4 and 3D Mario which I would have expected this year we could also get Mario Kart, Animal Crossing and Pokemon Gen 10 given how long it will have been since those teams last projects by 2025 3: After watching Doctre81's new video I have to wonder how third parties will react to this news, I'm sure many will be happy that they have about 6 months more to polish their games, but some might have obligations with other platforms to release later this year and delaying the Switch 2 version could complicate things, especially Microsoft with the COD 10 year deal which should start this year... Would they be breaking that agreement if they have to delay the Switch 2 version of this year's COD because of Nintendo? 4: As you mentioned in this video, aside from Pokemon what the hell is Nintendo going to give us to support the Switch later this year? If Metroid Prime 4 is a crossgen title that's now off the table, hopefully they've got some good remasters to fill the gaps this year
Unless the switch 2 has backwards compatibility with older game enhancements, I personally wouldn't want the switch 2 to release at all if there aren't any new games to launch with it.
That would mean 2 years of game testing.....that's insane to think of. If that was the case, the game would have to be the most polished game in gaming history lol. Unless the game is done and they just hold onto it for a year, which would be annoying. Prime 2 and 3 are the keys to understanding where Prime 4 falls.
Maybe the Twilight princess & Wind Waker was saved for an emergency drought, and these are also coming this year. Or just one of these games, while the other one coming in 2025 or later.
Remaking twilight princess to look like the 2010 demo would look really good, I wouldn't mind waiting more years for that game. Wind waker doesn't need a remake, they could easily put that game out there on the switch.
It might seem like a minor note but Monster Hunter Wilds is coming out 2025 and I wouldn’t be surprised if CAPCOM is co-ordinating with Nintendo. Monster Hunter is probably THE most significant 3rd party franchise for Nintendo , in Japan and it would definitely be a significant asset if the system would launch with a new monster hunter on hand.
Wilds will likely be on it. I don't think it will release the same time as the new system though. System will be out first, then like 6 months later or so, Wilds releases.
I’d be more content waiting longer if they put out some much needed games. Mario Kart, Donkey Kong? Neither have had a new entry in a decade. Why, on their super successful system that has been out for seven years is there no new entries for so many of their flagship series? Just because old games are still selling doesn’t mean they don’t need to put out new ones. If you are a Wii U owner, those games aren’t new to you. If we are going to be playing switch for a year or more still, they should give us a reason. Still hoping it’s this year though.
@@ItApproaches Yeah still the same exact game, just with lots of dlc now. So pretty much one Mario Kart game will have spanned the life cycles of two entire generations. That’s pretty crazy. Same with Donkey Kong.
@@ItApproaches Right, mostly old tracks from previous titles and a few mobile game tracks that look pretty bad. There is more, but I’d rather have a new game than one that’s been added to and milked for a decade. It isn’t for our benefit, it’s theirs. Why make a new game if an old one still sells? Seems kind of lazy and greedy. Not unusual for them lately though.
I do think that 2024’s gonna be a glorified filler year for Nintendo. The OG Switch is running out of steam and I think we’re gonna see a slew of additional GCN and Wii remasters. I feel as though they’ve definitely been holding on to WW and TP HD for a situation like this where they have a relatively barren year for releases and they want to keep their fans occupied and still have products to sell. Additionally, I think F-Zero GX remastered is a fair bet also since with all the money they’ve made from this generation and with seemingly little else coming out this year, they’re probably more willing to take a risk on a niche series
I’m not saying these leaks are right or wrong however if they are I find a few things odd. 1st is the fact that people who know people inside Nintendo have said in house developers for Nintendo have not been told of a delay. 2nd is the fact that February is a partner showcase despite this so called delay meaning we have nothing until the big switch 2 blow out people are predicting for summer. 3 which brings me to my final issue let’s say this is all correct not only would they have nothing for September since all launch games would be seen in summer but the holiday sales this year due to lack of new switch games would suck so bad it would hurt Nintendo in the pocket. Yet this rumour may actually happen but if it is true I don’t believe for one second it’s to line games up Remember 3ds launch games sucked but they still sold 3ds's, no if it is delayed its more than likely to be a issue with the hardware
Context definitely matters here. Without knowing who, what, why or how many devs are being asked to prepare for 2025 that's no solid indication of when a system is going to be released IMHO. There's also the possibility certain devs are being asked to prepare for a later date because potentially Nintendo doesn't want to front load a new system with too many games, and instead is trying to space things out so that both first and third party games have a better sales potential by not overlapping every release in one go. As far as these rumors go I don't see anything that pushes the needle towards a 2025 or 2024 release one way or the other. Personally I lean more towards a 2024 release because of how barren the year is for Nintendo as it stands, and a need to start filling in some gaps. Either way we have to wait for Nintendo to make an announcement to know for sure.
I really hope the messaging is for Nintendo first party to come out with Switch 2 launch in time for holidays 2024 and it's just third party games pushing to 2025 to keep a steady stream of games.
I’ve tried my best to be unbiased here, and I think the new information gives a decent chance for a 2025 release. Not necessarily likely, but the first time in a long time that it has seemed like a large possibility. I’ve been here since the WiiU days, I remember delays similar to what is being rumored. I’m also not saying that a 2024 release is more likely than not, but in my head it’s still a toss up with 2025. There’s enough information on both sides, and I’m still not totally convinced by either camp.
If we reach mid April with no new system revealed, then yeah...Q1 2025 is what it will be. In that case a reveal in June (E3 time period) would be most likely. But if the system is revealed in March/early April, Fall 2024 is still on the table for a launch.
Maybe Nintendo fell behind because they allocated a lot of resources to media/film projects, especially on the management side. Miyamoto is basically a film producer now
Mostly bad for you because well, you went ALL in on the 2024 release with little to no info backing it up, and now you can't clickbait like you have been doing for the past what 3-4 months?
They were just fun speculative videos gleaning off info being passed about sources in the background. No one jumped on a rocket ship named ''Switch 2 100% due in 2024'' and took off to the Sun. We all know this, despite Us being expectant but there's nothing wrong with that. A few telling leads and a bunch of speculative fun. We know it's coming simply through Mr Furukawa's recent statements, and it's quite soon - but of course not exactly when.
What are you talking about? He looks at information that has come out and forms an opinion on it. He always makes it clear that nothing is confirmed and it’s all speculation. He isn’t misleading his audience like a lot of other people do.
I could see this as 2 possibilities. The first is that it is a delay, they happen and it wouldn’t be surprising for them to want to make sure they got the stock and the software. However there is the possibility that they told their partners to ready their games for 2025 Q1 so they can have their own software monopolize Q4 2024. They definitely got their own 1st party stuff they wanna sell and if there re no 3rd party games to compete they make all the profits. You could also see it as a way to pace their own releases right at launch, give themselves some extra time knowing their base will still have options for Q1 2025
If these rumors are true 2024 is shapping up to be the worst year ever in decades for games in general. As it stands Nintendo isn't releasing anything I'm even remoutely interested in. Even other devs and consoles only have 1-2 games that are intriguing. Without a new console announcement from Nintendo 2024 looks to be a huge drag.
all i know is that Nintendo owes as MP4 from back then as they work asap, I just hope it would be worth it and be better or best than MP3 for all these years they needed
Could be leak bait, kinda like how WWE kept trying to bullshit people that CM Punk wasn't returning to WWE after 10 years, and everyone was so certain Punk would never EVER return...Yet he did lol. I wasn't fooled, I saw how hard they were pushing to try to push people away from the truth that it backfired and was revealing that he was coming back.
