Priest got Pogo-Hoppers?? The new Astral Automaton card feels a lot like Pogo-Hopper, which is an awesome throwback to one of my favorite cards of all time. This deck uses the huge mechs in combination with Magnetic cards and a control shell to overwhelm opponents with big stuff and tons of value.

Deck Power Estimate: It's too early in the new meta to know anything for sure, but this deck is probably not going to be good. I think Priest will trend more towards pure Control decks than a Mech/Automaton list like this one.

The deck seems to start as an Automaton deck and then switch to playing 4 Aman'Thuls if you make it to the late game. I think Titans needed their own non minion card type classification, its too easy to get multiples and steamroll.

Yeah two amanthuls from creation protocol or synchronize just keeps happening for me. I think making it not a "minion" would be a good fix for balancing but in the meantime I'm having A LOT of fun

I too came across my first bot in hearthstone on launch day yesterday. I've not been playing for a good few months, so maybe there are just more bots in hearthstone than there's ever been before, but had the exact same feel of them playing cards instantly with no thought to the plays lol. Very strange launch day experience!

I was also getting multiple Blizz bots on launch day - have never had that issue before, it was really confusing. One even played that same mage deck and was tempoing important combo minions for no reason

I took 22 damage to the face from a warrior. That *also* successfully black rock and rolled and hunter double man. I was eating 22/22 minions turn after turn. While fun for me, must have been devastating for the opponent (who is playing one of my recent favorite decks). Harkens back to the resurrect priest of uldum. Hope they are able to balance the match-up so it feels more fair.

You can actually check if it's a bot or not by opening your friends tab. Bots are not listed under recent players.

It doesn't even seem that bad! You can get some huge boards pretty fast. Remains to be seen if regular control priest is still just better though.

The Titan trades were pretty funny, and I’ve actually experienced that in game as well since I opened Amun’Thul in my first couple packs and have been messing around with it. I just love the idea of multiple godlike beings entering a room one after the other and going: “I wipe you from history!” “And I wipe YOU from history!” “Hello there! I’m here to wipe YOU from history!” “And I am here to wipe YOU from history!” …

If it was a bot, it was a blizzard bot. I will say, there are definitely people (cough cough me cough cough) who are both bad at hearthstone AND confident in our plays, and I imagine people playing vs me have a similar experience to you haha

I've noticed a lot of bots, especially recently, they usually have names "LikeThis", two words both capitalized and no space, big change from last set that just had a bunch of jumbled letters.

the aura works with 1/1 copies and reborn in wild, decks still a bit too inconsistent for the wild meta but it makes for some fun games.

Aman thul alone is not crazy, its the fact that you can resurrect it, copy it, and resummon it that makes it crazy. Maybe not OP, but certainly the stand out for control matchups

Priest seems absolutely nuts. The ability to regenerate absolute monster threats is demoralizing. Hearthstone is probably gonna hafta do a looooot of balancing for this expansion.

I love priest decks, especially the creating cards out of nowhere and controlling the board. For that reason I love rogue and mage too. I got Sif for mage and the lego for rogue (not the titan but the other legos) so ofc I had to insta craft aman thul for priest. :D Love him already

One question! I just came back to the game, if you do have cards from the free deck that they give you, do you get the dust, or the copy to dust it, or do I have to dust them before picking the deck? Also, you pick the deck once the trial time is over, right? Im kinda scared to be missing something haha Thanks for the answer in advance! ^^

I'm so sad I can't really get back into the game. I haven't played in a very long while, for a number of expansions.. my only hope was I might be able to come back somewhat with the free returning deck thing. Sadly for whatever reason, I didn't get it and so I have close to no cards to play standard with :(

Kinda weird to call Astral Automaton the new Pogo and Earthen Golem the new Jade Golem, when it's pretty much the opposite. Earthen Golem gets +2/+2 as a battlecry, exactly like Pogo, and Astral Automaton innately has +1/+1, which is a slightly stronger version of Jades.

Two are called golems. These two also scale through a multi-card package. Two are mechs. These two are also 1-cost singular minions, not a cycle of cards like the golems.

The bot game is not an official Blizzard Bot so probably just someone running a bot to farm Pass XP while at work. The bots moved from Classic to wild and standard so a lot of them running around in both modes now.

Maybe its my imagination but It feels like every other game was against a bot this expansion. I was at a low rank but its like the bots were playing random standard cards and just tempoing things to hit face

I played the deck quite a few times and usually I just use the forged spell to get multiples copies of the 3/2 that gives you a temporary copy of card. And once you have that it scales SOOOOO fast
