These People had Unusual Allergic Reactions 

Wow I can’t imagine being allergic to water! Imagine not being able to enjoy bathing being clean, sweating, not being able to cool off in the summer! I feel so bad for her

Poor girl. As a mom who’s son had the same problem. He was allergic to his own tears, sweat, pee. Can’t swim on the beach or in the pool or his legs would swell up. It was horrible to see. Praying for the little girl and her family

It still shocks me how someone's body can screw up this badly to have allergic reaction to stuff like water. I know it's not their fault but it's like your body had one job.

Poor girl! Water allergy is a tough one to deal with. My mom worked with a gentleman who is allergic to corn and he couldn't have any corn products. As we all know corn syrup is in most food products these days.

Poor baby girl I've never been a parent but I have taken care of kids and just seeing a baby cry breaks your heart but seeing something like this is so sad. Hopefully the pill can help her get better. Prayin for the family.

It breaks my heart to see that she can’t be in the tub with her sister; but why on earth, would the parents torture her and make her watch her sister playing and having fun in the tub? She’s literally crying because of it, and they just said she’s allergic to her own tears…wtf??

I can feel the baby. I have been suffering from a similar condition. I hope she gets well soon and it hopefully gets better with age like it did for me.

I thought finding out that im allergic to sea water is the worst but it turns out im still lucky. I hope the baby wont be having those allergies long and may live a happy life with water❤

Poor girl, there's a similar case but of a mum who became allergic to water immediately after she gave birth.

I had a citrus allergy when I was a kid that I happened to grow out of surprisingly. My mother has shellfish allergies that developed in her 20's and got progressively worse across her lifetime. It is currently at a severe stage.

My sister suddenly developed an allergy to red meat. We think it’s a tick bite as well, But we live in MD in the US, so I’m not sure if it’s the same tick, but now she can only have poultry and fish. But she’s also VERY allergic to flying fish eggs so she had to be careful with what sushi she has. Crazy how allergies can develop

You would think that other doctors would be more compassionate and try to figure it out like this doctor did !!

My 3 year old was allergic to water as a young baby she eventually overcame over it i was scared to put water near yet alone figure out she was allergic to it soon she accident spilled water on herself and we realized she wasn’t allergic and had no hives afterwards. I hope the same happens for that poor baby ❤️

I developed a severe allergic reaction to things I put on my lips. I can only use Burt's bees wax. My lips will swell if I use anything without natural ingredients. I also as an adult developed a allergic reaction to washing powders and dust. I have to go see an allergist.

I have something called Food-dependent, exercise-induced anaphylaxis I never knew I had it until I got into fitness. I do not have an allergy to shrimp but if I eat it and exercise ( I run a lot) within 2 hours of eating it I break out in hives. I went to an allergist after it happened twice and she said that's what I have. It is super rare, my mind was blown lol

That poor little girl! I am an adult and could not take it when it happened to me! I have RSD, a severe pain condition. One day, I simply turned on the cold water to wash my face in the morning, and the water felt like ACID! My entire hand and face swelled up, and turned bright red, like I had been burned. My hand got so swollen that it resembled a catcher’s mitt! I went to the ER, where they determined it was an allergic reaction to the cold water, since my body was in distress all the time from chronic pain, it found another way to deal with the pain. Weird, huh? It was like that for about a week. It happened every winter when the water was icy cold out of the faucet. I moved to a very cold state and it has not happened again because my body got desensitized to the extreme cold.

That poor little girl who’s allergic to water, OMG! It’s strange that she can drink it, but can’t be externally exposed to it. The human body is something else

This happened to another young lady. She suddenly became allergic to water as well. I can't imagine what they must be going through

My son's red meat allergy was worse. From like 1.5- 7 he was anaphylactic to all red meat including pork, lamb, beef, venison, gelatin, mammalian rennet (which is in everything - anything cheese flavored, and mammalian by-products even in juices.) My son went into anaphylaxis after just being touched by doritos a few years ago. His entire eye swelled shut and he started wheezing yet he didn't even eat anything. His igE was 25 to pork but luckily his numbers just all dropped to 0! So he is no longer allergic and will have to challenge for it soon. Hopefully he passes and can finally eat it again. We weren't able to keep it in the house for over 5 years.

i have aquagenic urticaria. it’s absolutely awful. i just have to deal with it, and tough it out. it antagonizes you with a burning and itching sensation. i pity for anyone else who has it.

I have something called mast cell activation, so I have loads of food allergies, animal, pollen etc. when I’m feeling really sorry for myself I think about children allergic to water and sun. It looks so, so painful! Oddly, my skin burns if I use baby wipes. Omg, the tic, red meat lady is crazy…never heard of that before. I’m allergic to pork, lamb and anything that swims and I don’t think we have those tics in the uk. The poor lady on here wedding day! I can’t breathe with lillies

Being allergic to water has to be a living hell. She can't even cry without having a reaction. :( I shower everyday and it bothers me to only go for a few hours without getting one in. I feel sorry for this poor little girl. I hope she'll be okay in the future.

My mom is allergic to beef she's also allergic to wheat and dairy. When I was a kid I was allergic to oranges.

I have similar reactions to water. It isn't as severe as hers, but it's something nonetheless. I usually get blotchy hives on my face, neck, and upper back. It usually stings and burns a little. It lasts for around 20 minutes after contact with water before disappearing and the pain lasts around 5 minutes. It's not only shower or bath water, I've also reacted minorly to sweat, usually during sports. And sometimes even rain. People never seem to believe me and I hate it. I always tell people, mostly at school, that it's the water that's causing the hives, but people always manage to come up with something else. Even my doctors don't believe me. They said I had excema and believe me I don't. We got one appointment before they stopped caring. Every time I bring it up, they just brush it off. Thank you for talking about this problem, and I hope more people recognize these horrible allergies that ruin people's lives. (For people wondering, I am sure it's the water that's the problem. I have checked the water in different places to see if its just 'bad water' and all of my products

I’ve had bad allergic reactions before. Once was when I was working as a medic at a festival for some overtime. My face, lips, and tongue swelled up and my coworkers saved my life that day. I’m also allergic to IV iron and I’ve had a reaction to it several hours after I was done with the infusion. After the first reaction I was given meds prior to the infusion to hopefully avoid a reaction. I usually got 3 or 4 infusions total over the course of a month and one of them I would react to while the others I didn’t and each time I reacted I was put into the hospital for treatment for overnight on the floor. Now I get a different IV iron that I’ve always done well with except one when I got it just before my IVIG infusion. No one knew that the drugs didn’t like each other so I had a reaction that mimicked sepsis and was hospitalized for 4 days. It was awful. And once I was petting animals at a zoo and some goats that I was petting made my eye swell shut.

I.m praying for all of them to have long happy healthy life’s

I used to work with a teacher who supposedly had this water allergy, but this is the first time I have seen someone else with it.

Allergies can be scary my teen daughter pushed a tropical bath bomb to my face to smell and it was instant swollen lips mouth tongue and my throat closed. Being 15 she was then mad we made her throw it away

My allergic reaction is very unusual. My first is a rash, then it swells, my second is server dizziness. And worst of all, not even doctors don't know my allergy.

The poor girl allergic to water. But that will also create problems for the sister. Limited time time, if any, playing in the snow, or going to the beach, as a family. Probably no family camping trips, or anything that would require a deep clean afterwards.

Never had issues from a tick, but I have had allergic reactions to meat since I was younger.

like the wee girl and the water..i was like that as an infant. my mom had to wipe me down only using vegetable oil. When imgot older it got bit better but even today i can only shower using glyercin soap and tempid water and it cant be long in there. absolutely no rubbing the towel..i have to dab the towel. I certainly hope this wee girl improves. Bless her heart

This happened to me and my 2 other siblings. As a child it was exactly the same as poor baby ivy but as an adult its become tolerable but still break out to all kinds of water

When I was 15 years old, I had an allergic reaction to honey due fruits. I was at my church volunteering for VBS when I ate the fruit and a couple of minutes later. My face turned red and my tongue started to swell up, I knew right away that it was an allergic reaction to the fruit. I am 28 years old now and still refuse to eat it because I have to stay healthy for work. Can’t get sick and can’t miss my hours at work.

I have only 2 very mild allergies - I am allergic to maple trees in the spring and Advil - my maple tree allergy really isn’t that bad though - I only had a somewhat severe reaction a long time ago - other than that I have been fine - on the other hand I can’t take Advil when I have a headache or am experiencing pain because my eye puffs up a little bit when I do so I take Tylenol instead !

Oh, I’m so sad that baby girl I’m not a baby though, but my sister likes the water semester. She doesn’t. It’s really sad to see that.

I had a symptom, whenever after a few minutes when I finish showering, my face started to appear red spots, it wasn't itchy, until I found out I accidentally scrubbed my face shampoo too hard.
