I would like to clarify that Nightshades can drop in any element. The only good one in my opinion is frost though. Poison fires like a White Rider, Shock fires like a Live Wire, Dark Magic fires DM orbs, Fire shoots normally but has occasional star shaped bullets fly out. I've tried them all and IMO frost is just the clear winner
I found this Riveter Sootcough pistol, found it at chaos 5 and have used it all the way to 35. It’s just a regular level 40 pistol, 304x5 and 3% increase damage per bolt. Pretty sure the x5 makes it 15% per shot cuz this thing melts every enemy if you hit every shot
I find there’s plenty. I have 3 playthroughs all at C35 & having a blast with all kinds of stuff. Why aren’t you? Since this is the case then it’s not the game…it’s YOU…& this is a multiple times a day problem all over Reddit it’s kinda ridiculous. When you comment things like that it gets seen by those that take it too seriously then they repeat it & next thing you know a bunch of gamers who aren’t even trying all agree that guns they haven’t used or even attempted to build around are “useless”…it’s really infuriating.
@@ermagherd1204 well the player base has fallen off fast so its not me, it's many. The legendary weapons are so weird and situational that it's better to just use purple weapons. Same with spells. The speels look cool, they should be good, but none compare to just a basic icicle or fireball becasue they're so goofy. Borderlands used to be more serious in 1 and 2. The weapons while not as flamboyant were usable. The more goofy things get the more useless items are being made.
@@RobDaKid87 nah man the issue is like I said…YOU. When everyday Reddit is full of players who can’t make a decision in any game without posting permission “which gun is better?”…”which class mod would YOU use?”…”thoughts?”…majority of players simply don’t have a damn clue. They don’t know how to build they don’t know anything bout synergy let alone even know the meaning of the word synergy. You can justify the bullshit all you want with “even RU-vidrs are leaving the game so…”….they go where the viewers want them to go they gotta keep them numbers up. When majority of the viewers are braindead…well…opinions of the useless is how I see it. Harsh? Yup. It’s reality.
The magic beam bloodshot doesn't deal spell damage pixies, it's just the regular pellet bloodshot that deals spell damage and benefits from double knot.
I know this is not a weapon, but Fortifying Sigil is by far the best spell in the game. Stand in the bubble, and you can get up to "8%" healing and up to 20% bonus damage, as well as up to 50% cryo efficiency to anything that enters, trying to kill you. And guess what? That's on a purple variant, not tied to level or chaotic/volatile, in other words, you can get a level 1 version, if you're lucky and it'll carry you to endgame
Absolutely love the Lewdite. First one I got was frost and was floored by the amount of damage it generated. Now if only the RNG would drop me a pixie Feriore instead of the bolt cast version.
@@ermagherd1204 I have a Volatile x2 Lewdite of Blastoff that's frost as well and I know what you mean. I swear, it's the most powerful frost gun in the game. The only downside for me is that mine came with melee damage for each crossbolt instead of just damage. It even has the "on spell cast, increase frost damage by 30% for 5 secs." for even more insane damage boost. Weirdly enough, a cursed crab is harder to take down than Dry'l. lol! Cape of Tides and even Tidebreaker are awesome to have with this gun. :)
@@brayerkh the nerf murdered it. The automagic and the wantnot are both better pistols now. The purples in this game are insanely better than the legendaries and thats just sad
@@khametrick poison dahl nightshades and hyperion spriggans shoot lasers rather than the bullet volleys, i dont know how youre seeing a bullet volley poison one
Another non unique weapon that I feel deserves a mention is the Pintonrod. It is a Blackpowder (Jakobs) Assault Rifle with the bow arms. In particular, I would recommend a crank version as that has very high DPS. Only downside is a large kick when firing, which can be remedied by looking down.
i have a purple heirloom of the enchanter thats volatile and shoots the toxic laser beam and has the guns with wings, if u have a companion build it literally drops bosses in 5 seconds, even better than pixie weapons.
Yeah that's pretty much it. Frost weapons do great damage but if I'm using another element I equip an amulet that boosts it and enchant the gun with the asa element 50% damage enchant. Build covers all bases that way.
Well, I'm currently using a Queen's Cry and a Ruby's spite on my Spellshot. However, I need a volatile/primordial for the first and a primordial for the second. I suppose I should go pistol farming now and keep an eye out for the 2 purples.
idk how you didn't include pistol mashers on this list, a chaotic blue i found does 350x5 with a mag of 10 and a volatile blue i found with a mag size of 4 did 500x5
The nightshade can come in non elemental I have one and it is awesome. My frost has a high fire rate I love it.The bloodshot is awesome also mine sprout a hydra that shoots the enemy.
I run pixie Bloodshots on my spell/Stabbo.. Ive been trying to get a purple cryo for weeks now .I have a blue that still does work but would rather have a purple.
It is pretty powerful indeed! I have a x12 version and it melts the enemy at close range in 2 shots even on Elite mode in Chaos. I played with a friend and he said, "Whatever you're using... keep using it!" after he saw me melt an enemy faster than he could destroy it with his Graveborn move. lol :)
Gearbox big NERF to the only strong legendary which would be near these guns had players leaving. Pixie's may have a more months in them. I think they may just buff others, after solid C20 builds didn't work at the new end game.
Half the legendaries are pretty bad though, the only ones I've found that are decent are the reign of arrows shotgun and liquid cooling. Hell, the legendary spells and armours are often outclassed by blue level loot.
I only remember using a Strong Purple weapon once and that was in Borderlands 1 the BULLDOG on Crawmerax xd borderlands 2 not at all and not wonderlands either Thanks for the guide
Were you using sticky mode? You get a lot more damage if you can stick your entire mag on someone who won't move too fast or dodge you and then reload...just watch their bars evaporate. Even a frost Torgue pistol of x2-x3 in sticky mode will destroy anyone except bosses in just a clip or two. If you want to really boost your Encrapsulator, just get the Cape of Tides armor. It is insane how much splash boosts it!
@@mdkruse2 Well the pistols in my opinion are better than the rifles, even if they have more of a magazine. It's harder to land a shot unless you're very close. Plus pistols tend to have more sticky damage if I recall correctly
@@oprime I've been trying different combinations and so far the encrapsulator/handbow combo is the best with my build (stabbo-brrzerker), but it doesn't shred health bars like in sgz's videos. I need a good cryo encrapsulator but they drop so rarely. Guess I need to start farming better rings/amulets.
@@mdkruse2 Handbow's are awesome on Stabbo's without a doubt.(Catatumbo's in second place for me, that lightning is NO joke when splash is on them.) Encrap's are hard to get in the roll you want since they drop as often as a good ring/amulet. A good mag increase, critical damage/chance would do wonders I imagine. Increasing your mag size in the Myth Rank would help a little too. I've been looking for a volatile or higher cryo torgue pistol with damage(not melee damage) increase. Unfortunately I keep getting the melee increase ones on the ones I do find.
Build diversity? Experimentation? Personal preference? There's many reasons to use orange weapons because not everything is about min-maxing but you're a top tier game developer that has essential critiques, right?
@@ambroseposey6487 Just make the Higher tier guns better? Diverse?. I play Division 2 I don't even get excited when there high tier gear/weapons drop cause I know the yellow I have on is better. I just don't see the point.
You just highlighted a big reason why this game fell off a cliff. 90% of the legendary items are either gimmicky, non effective, reliant on broken code or outpaced by a regular weapon. It all creates a boring, plateaued experience that wore itself out very quick.
