I started watching ur videos around mid season 3 I’ve been shooting about 45-50% from 3 and winning about 30-40% of my rec games wit squad since ur videos and advice I’m now shooting 62% on more shots and I have a win percentage of 86% and 72% last season
I knew it! But my spin on it was my goat skill are activating but your take make sense too. I had a 78 three/84 middy build and couldn't miss. I had 95 steal and 94 block so I was constantly making defensive plays and getting a lot of assist. But I would go 8/8 from three most games and I didn't have that many shooting slumps. I got a 96 three ball build and thought I would never miss, but I did. It was so irritating to miss wide open catch n shoot opportunities plus it always happen when I go 7/7 in a game, then the next I'm 2/7. I thought it was 2k readjusting my jumpshot or the lack of boost or lack of hot zones. It was none of that, it was because a turnover or missed shot. And it usually my teammates that doing wrong which is why my guess is the other team goat skills activated and if you look at the second tier reward for goat skills your opponents, perimeter defense, shooting, finishing, and playmaking is affected.
I knew it bro I freaking knew it. I been saying to everyone I noticed my goat skills increasing without even playing my career so I swapped which ones and I could feel a difference in my playability. I also felt like the very first shot you take or assist or play when the ball is in your possession depicts your overall (roll) on stats you start with
It’s crazy because in a game to 21 I will go 3/3 5/5 then a couple games later 1/4 1/5 mind you I don’t take bad shots and I know my jump shot it’s just 2k idk wtf is going on. I have 3 great games to start then I STG my green meter shrinks significantly!
100 and something 3 ya dreaming C#@nt hahahahah they have it maxed too 99 for a reason so if anything you have a 99 3 with boosts with just boost the perc of you making a shot from the floor hahahaha you make me laugh but yeah 150 3 ball hahahahahhahahq
@marauder3831 I know you probably have a squad that you normally run with even though a lot of your content shows you playing with randoms but you and I definitely got a play together. I think me and you could do a lot of damage on the court. Keep pumping videos.
I was shooting 75% from 3 on an 85pt build in season 2 (supposedly the hardest shooting season ever in 2k)… I took a break for about 2 months and now I play again. All of sudden I can’t make anything. I mean I go in to rec games and I’ll miss 7 wide open shots in a row it’s so frustrating. I’m using my same jumpshot I used in season 2 and I’m probably 30% from 3 now. I tried many different jump shots and it’s all the same. What changed from season 2 till now with shooting?
Shooting got notably easier and there aren’t as many speed ups/ slow downs!! If you haven’t played the game for awhile you’ll probably be a little rusty. Just keep shooting and you’ll be back to 75% in no time!!
Dope content.. But over the past few weeks I feel like shooting has been nerf the point where its like shooting 3 is a layup now.. Every player in rec can shoot now its too easy.. Then when 25 come out theyll do the same thing again.. Cant see myself playing much longer
Bro I’m telling you bro, I’ve started shooting way better when I changed how I viewed the flick. I used to think it was when he flicked, but it’s actually when the wrist starts to flick. I’ve made way more shots once I figured that out waff!
Your talking about the forward flick at the very end?? My guy flicks it backwards, brings it in and then flicks it forward so you talking about that final flick??
Practice practice practice!!!! I’ve used release all year so I don’t really have a way to “learn it”. Just keep shooting waff, you’re a good shooter (I’ve seen your YT vids). Just don’t get frustrated and keep letting it fly
@@jayskate6631bro idk what jumper your using but logically I’ve never heard of a jumper that flicks backwards. Jumpers bring the ball backwards, so maybe that what you mean but I’m talking as soon as you see the wrist move an inch forward into the flicking motion you release, don’t let the flick finish before you let go
@@gowrong that’s my jumper I believe he uses oscar/ bey but the defensive immunity is a C+ with Middleton it’s a A- and a smoother feel imo I’ve used both with a 85 3pter if you have a 92+ I’d suggest his jumper but I make yellows & reds with my J
6'5 and up get less contest on shots in most situations only because the contest system is more forgiving for them but 6'4 and under are faster and can get open easier. Only way that changes is if u got patty mills base at starter 3.
@joshy_bandss that's what it is then because I feel like everything the smaller guards shoot says open and if I take the same shot it will show contest
Taller you are + release height = less contested shots. 6’4 in my opinion is the optimal height for speed while also not getting contested by everything
I got a high midrange but only a 76 three ball with most shooting badges on gold and hof. Can i make yellow and red contests consistently with it, I m fine shooting wide open, I shoot 50% from three but i do struggle sometimes to hit those higher contests with my 76 3pt
You’ll occasionally hit a red but I wouldn’t try to do it often!! Green window is already pretty small because of the low 3 ball! Would focus on knocking down your opens!
@@marauder3831 I appreciate it, most of my builds are different variations of like slashing and shooting middies but I wanna start really shooting 3s so I’m making a new build with a 92 three ball, do you think that’s enough?
It depends on what position you’re trying to play. Do you want to be a primary ball handler or a secondary option. What modes do you mainly play? Do you play with a squad or by yourself
yeah because irl its so ez to shoot corner fades or around 1-2 people or with a player in your back..lmao bro what you talking about? the contest system of this game is absolutely terrible and im shooting around 65% so thats not ez for me to say
@@marauder3831 yeah I love it too. I’ve always shot around 65-70% from 3 at 22-24ppg 8 assist. Mainly at pg. but these past couple seasons it’s been 25-27 ppg 10 assist at 75-78% from 3. It’s ridiculous. And I’m no spot up. I play pg mostly.
My biggest takeaway is that you use boosts with a 90+ 3ball. Didn't think that was necessary. I have a 94 3Ball and never use boosts. Shoot around 60% from 3. I'll try boosts out.
Thanks for this information and yes I have yet to build anything with a high 3 and take my over 80 I got a build just iffy 6’8 89 middy 85 3 put I don’t hit offer at 80 so I’m thinking I’m may sacrifice height if I have to with a 89 3
GUYS THAT PLAY LIKE YOU RUINED THIS GAME. I don't see what is so fun about going down court and just throwing up 3s and having the timing down pat where everything is going in. Even if everything is not going in just throwing up 3s is not basketball, it's a 3 point contest.
It’s the way u hold square I realized I got yo yo da toe in delay those be the shots I miss. U gotta set them feet see we’re the ball is and then time the shot
