@@MatthewScanlonmusic From the looks of it, mostly that the razor ones have both sides independent of each other and that they have it so you can do gesture controls on both sides. Other than that they are basically the same type of thing. I do think it's cool that the razor ones actually come with extra lenses though.
@@MatthewScanlonmusic essentially the same thing yeah, differences are the sides are separate from one another, and according to a couple reviews, slightly better audio. Basically, a cheaper and slightly better product to compete with the Bose Frames, but you should not buy it if you already have Bose Frames.
I would just like to add - that bone conducting headphones in an open outside environment, encourage you to crank up the volume (as you can't block out the outside sounds) The possibility of long term hearing damage is really a problem with these types of devices that do not block out external audio - be careful, especially if you're young, you won't notice now but by the time you're 40 or 50 your ears will! Look after your god damn ears kids, they have to hopefully last you till you're 80+ and they accumulate damage really slowly over time, you won't notice for decades!
Just bought the bose frames tempo. Wonder how they compare with these ones. I love my bose smart glasses. They look super cool and they sell all kind of different lenses for all kind of lighting conditions
What Price One's EyeSight?!? I did my first PowerBank assisted Epic on WD S&S the other night.. I awoke with the Sun streaming into my room... and thought, "Hmmm, me.... I should clean these Spectacles..... then I realised that the GREASY HALO that was glowing in my vision was NOT due to greasy Spex.. as I wasn't wearing my goggles... MY RETINAS were doing the mucky messy buggery..... pretty much I was suffering SNOW BLiNDNESS!!!! Took 2 days to subside.... or it took 2 days for me to adjust to it... be careful folks.. GET BLUE LIGHT FILTERS and a good solicitor... I hate to be the misery guts but I know TOO many people that just.. WENT BLIND in their early to peak life time...... TOO MANY We are Guinea Pigs... don't be SHY to ask for Compensation, Free STUFF and Hardware additions that with hindsight SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED FOR CONSUMER SAFETY and CARE!
You sold me on the head banging. Gonna pick up a pair of these and order prescription clear lenses for them. Maybe then I won’t have to worry about inner ear pimples from long distance running.
as a glasses user, i dont see how its hard to find the touch controls if their by the frame. in my vision with all glasses, i can see the arms of my glasses. so i feel like you can find the touch controls easy, especially if theres a bump to indicate where they are
idk.. Something always kinda irks me when people call these glasses-headphone combinations smartglasses xD I mean, whenever I hear the term smart glasses I really think of stuff like the vuzix (blade and all the others) or focals (by north), or heck even google glass for that matter. but yeah, that might just be me i guess. For distinction lets call these kinds of glasses: audioglasses! and call stuff like the google glass and focals and stuff smart glasses, while calling magic leaps one and microsofts hololens actual ar glasses... xD
Hey, Off Topic.. and I know I am firing LOADS of comments... have you yourself or anyone else tried the DEMO for TERMINUS on QUEST 2??? Well impressed... just STARTING the Game and selecting the options before it fully Starts is an Event in itself!!! Try it, best Torch in the Dark I have seen on Quest so far!
Glad I watched this. I just got a pair yesterday from amazon, and i'm 99% sure they sent me an open box pair (instead of new) and they were blown. I was getting crazy amounts of crackle and they were not remotely loud. Audio quality was closer to a pair of dollar store headphones than anything else. Seeing this, I'm comfortable ordering replacements as opposed to just flat out returning them.
Your Optician might be the best person to ask to reshape the frame, they do miracles with a Heat Gun etc (They May ask you to sign a Warranty disclaimer though)? I doubt they would charge you if they are fitting your Prescription Lenses anyway? It's part of the fitting and lining up process..
As someone who is severely visually impaired. I can certainly attested that the sound without covering your ears is a boon. However the Bose frames are use one of the first generation have external meters and magnetometer so it can tell which direction you’re facing and the apps that support this allow me to walk down a High Street until what building my head is pointed towards unfortunately they appear to have dropped this picture in the later models.
i just buying bose frames suprano for 2 days ago and it was broken and i should leave it back and get money back and buy razer anzu smart glasses and i hope they work when i buy that just today 😐
If they had a microphone attachment for these I’d be one sold American. That being said these would be amazing if you work at a place you can’t wear headphones at
Are they BETTER than the OCULUS Quest 2 Speakers? That would be a good Benchmark to compare whilst reviewing these sort of things (I expect more of these to come) - I was WELL impressed with Quest2 sound... and if you cup your hands over your ears, the quality and BASS goes SUPER NOVA... unfortunately, short of hiring a slave to stand behind cupping my ears (Thanks Caz)... I haven't found anything that I can attach that works well, I've tried the lot.... EGG BOXES aren't too bad.. definite improvement....
Even here in the US with Lensables you have to order your prescription Lenses separate from the actual frames. Which is stupid because I would expect that if I wanted to buy these with prescription lenses then it should come as one piece and not order from two companies and put on the lenses yourself.
I don't understand how 35 people actually gave this video a thumbs down. I thought this was one of the best honest reviews I have seen on RU-vid in a long time. Keep up the good work Mysticle. You just earned another sub.
I saw these when they were announced but I the frame style just didn’t work for me. They “sound” awesome though! I’m considering buying a set of Jbuds that Linus reviewed to go with my Oakley glasses & sunglasses, but don’t think it’s going to be as cool as these.
Alien 5 glasses are half the price and the frames look much slimer and normal on the sides. They use bone conduction instead so don't expect great bass but for those that love to listen to podcasts at work ay a job that doesn't want you listening to podcasts or music or want to ride your bike without getting run over by a car, they are secretly great
hmmm, I was disillusioned with the bose glasses, the first pair I had the audio died completely, I was able to swap them under warranty, but the second pair, the left speaker died under such a short time. kinda put me off smart audio glasses altogether.
I was wondering the same thing at the start. I think it's because they do more then just play audio. I would certainly much more prefer them to do AR or have some sort of HUD. We are definitely getting there, who knows, I might try some DIY some time in the future.
Can you tell me where your accent is from? It's subtle and can only be detected by an Irish person, but some of your words are spoken with an underlying Irishness.
I'm glad they are using bone conduction for more things, even portable speakers have it now :3 I personally have a pair of AfterShokz, so I technically don't need these, but it would be cool to have both in an all in one situation
A bit late to the game if you're gonna say you're gonna get stuff like this when it comes out. Boss sun glasses was the first thing i got and then the alexa smart glasses i got a long time ago.
ok i cant watch any more after he talked about the boss sun glasses. Ima have to get these cuz they're true wireless, so if it snaps in half, at least i can use one half still :D
Very good review. I gave it a thumb-up. Only one thing a bit disturbing, but it might be my old-fashion way of thinking... don't pretty damn use so much the words pretty damn. 😉
Until they project even a basic display for your eyes, it's kind of useless. Just literally use any pass-through supporting earphones or bone conduction headset (though the latter is somewhat incompatible with glasses, I admit). They don't even have to be AR yet, just a basic text display would do for now.
I just bought them for work. I use them at my desk as a manager of a team of 8 it is nice to have access to listen to music or use during zoom calls. While also being able to hear others. Plus the Blue light blockage is nice (even if it is potentially a myth that blue light causes eye strain). still nice to have. Plus I needed a good pair of Shades anyways. so this knocked off a lot of checks for me. Thus not useless to everyone.
You are RIDICULOUSLY cute @The Mystical but I make it a rule not to follow a creator because of that alone so... I was extremely happy to see that you actually make great content as well. And that speed talking at the about subscribing and ringing the bell. Super creative and unique. I'm sold! Keep up the great work!
