Panga's Japanese status report for the tubers who don't know: He has now learned Katakana and can read a few words (especially "su pi i do ra n" speedrun lol)
@@JetManPoweR what's your problem? He tries to understand a foreign language and shows interest in another culture? Isn't anyone from Asia or other parts of the world unintentionally butchering english when they try to learn it? And btw Japanese people are butchering English for fun because they love the sound of it
To understand the stages titles, learning Japanese is not much helpful, but good luck! Just for your (and the viewers) information, here are some of commonly used Japanese in SMM; スピードラン or スピラン (su-pi-i-do-ra-n, meaning "speedrun") 改造 or かいぞう (ka-i-zo-u, meaning "kaizo") 自動 (ji-do-u, meaning "auto") トロール (to-ro-o-ru, meaning "troll") 騙し or だまし (da-ma-shi, also meaning "troll") パズル (pa-zu-ru, meaning "puzzle") 秒 or びょう (byo-u, meaning "seconds") ジャンプ or ジャン (ja-n-pu, meaning "jump") マリオ (ma-ri-o, meaning "Mario") 難易度 (na-n-i-do, meaning "difficulty"), also 難
I want to suggest there is one kanji you absolutely should learn: 秒, meaning "second". As in the unit of time. It appears in titles surprisingly often.
"Oh it's not too bad actually", Panga said at the same time I was like "how the fuck you reach that hole in the flag", and it was indeed not too bad, he's so freaking good.
Hoy guys, today I took new earphones from the store, I hope they'll be pretty good :) Also in two days, on November 1st, I have a birthday :) Translations: Level 1610 (0:00) - "The beginning of Koopa Troopa Grasslands" by Zena, Japan Level 1612 (3:03) - the title is written on Spanish, but the translation is "bioms", so I usually don't include these levels in the list. Level 1613 (5:06) - "Let's run happily! Speedrun!" by Rinpachi, Japan Level 1614 (5:44) - "Extreme running" by Kirby road, South Korea GPB's PB, Level 1616 (8:21) - "Most important" by zdddddddd, Japan Level 1617 (9:55) - "Practising P-Switch jumps!" by Mefutsuniko!, Japan Thumbnail Level 1618 (11:21) - "It's hot ~ 20ss" by KRBdesu., Japan Level 1621 (15:50) - "Super Labyrinth Speedrun • 5" by Jikkenyo (Experimental), Japan Level 1622 (16:34) - "A little speedrun through the snow, 10 seconds" by Star Horse-chan, Japan Level 1624 (18:37) - "Easy castle speedrun 20 seconds" by Jawing №1, Japan Level 1625 (18:59) - "Very jumpy road" by Shunyun, Japan
In addition to being generally skilled with the game, it's great to see that Panga focuses on coins and one ups. I've seen other streamers lose the 1000/2000 expert challenge by ignoring one ups.
I hope Panga will learn Japanese language and will understand the meaning of titles :) Yeah, this will reduce the amount of the work for me, but still expect to see a lot of my translations, heh )
Yeah the great part about Expert is that it's pretty much impossible for that to happen, since a level has to have like at least a 2% clear rate to be put in the Expert category.
There are now new words added to my vocabulary just because of panga. Jabaiter Spike fajita? Blowsifs? BLOOpa Japanese new soup I'm certainly missing some Combine that with my vocab words and whole phrases from DGR and I'm pretty smartical.
Panga reading the Japanese titles sounds like me trying to read them after 2 semesters of Japanese. Which sounds about right considering how talented he is. My saving grace is I know both hiragana and katakana, and some kanji so some titles are easy reads, like 人 (person) which is often used in multiplayer level titles, or 木 (tree) or 森(Forrest) or 花(flower) or 火(fire)
Only 2 semesters of learning a language is dogshit. I would be surprised if you could even read most news articles or hold a conversation with that. I went to a language program where we studied the language for a year straight, 7 hrs a day with entirely native speaking teachers and I am still considered well below native speaker comprehension and speaking level
A Buck yeah I know 2 semesters is dogshit, that’s my point. That even with 2 semesters of Japanese I can’t read Mario Maker 2 level titles. But I’m also complimenting Panga who probably just started this month. He’s an extremely driven and intelligent man, he will likely pick it up quicker than most.
I think he's more generous than usual in this one. There're a couple of levels (like the ones with lots of koopa or poison mushrooms) that to me don't deserve a like.
If i had your life i would probably kill myself lmao. i’d assume this challenge is akin to drinking drain-o. one of my favorite youtubers hope youre doing alright!
