Love the new graphics!! So much easier for this 73yr old woman to see and understand. I am a die hard follower of you and preach to all I know to watch you for the best info with no hysteria, just truth! Thank you so much Ryan for watching over all of us and for your calming but informative way of doing it! ❤❤
The graphics map showing the entire United States that could be available to all of us 24/7 is an excellent idea. Your weather is more reliable than any news or the Weather Channel. I trust the accuracy of your maps above anyone else. Being able to access these maps anytime, without you having to go live makes our ability to keep ourselves safe much higher.
Hi Ryan, I appreciate your forecast work immensely. As an over the road trucker, The new format is great, as it allows me to see more than just where I am, but a few days, and over a thousand miles down the road! Keep it up!
Ryan what you and your team have done with this channel is amazing. You have reached people that had no clue about the weather & got us interested in the how's & why's! You not only keep us informed on what's happening but you teach us why & that's great. Thank you for all the hard work you have put in, and thanks for putting a great team together! The new graphics are wonderful, keep doing what you do.
I like the new graphics. You think you're safe in your area because the storm is so 'far away'. But the graphics show just how much is included in these patterns.
@@valeriepasbrig2864 these graphics are also intriguingly useful from a geological perspective! You can literally see where and how these weather patterns are shaping the continent itself! 😯🤔🧐🤯
I don't know about anybody else but the calm ocean is making me very grateful, but also very uneasy. Makes me feel like a real bad one is gonna pop up all of the sudden. But thank God we don't have anything as of right now.
Just googled a live ocean temp map and hurricane alley is all averaging mid 80s which is definitely capable of producing hurricanes. (Obviously other factors matter) I was happy to see the NOAA map i found included the great lakes, that will be good to know come winter for knowing how bad the lake effect snow will be.
@@razrv3lc looks like our current period of calm is thanks to dust from the Sahara blocking hurricane formation. But as you said, this just means the ocean is getting warmer and warmer to fuel more big storms once the dust passes.
Oh boy… NW Chicago here, near WI border. Derechos are no joke. A few in the past have been debilitating for our county. Thanks for the advance notice so I can move the livestock to safer shelter in time. We owe you another debt of gratitude for the prep time.
Northern burbs here and yeah, we've gotten some nasty derechos. Still have beautiful blue skies, but I haven't moved anything since the storms last night, knowing that it's probably going to get nasty again.
In Cedar Rapids, and we are NOT messing around when it comes to the Dreaded Derecho. Filled up car with gas, got cash in case credit cards don't work, hatches are FULLY battened down..
Here on the Texas Gulf coast … the air quality sucks with the dust but … if it means no tropical trouble then … all I want is “dust in the wind 🎶 “. Thank you Ryan for keeping us all weather aware from “sea to shining sea” and the big bathtub on the south side too! Do you have any rain gauges in stock in your store yet? Don’t need to measure hail, but I sure need to find out how much water is falling on my garden. Hope you have some soon. God bless Y’All❣️🤠🌈💜
Yo Ryan and fam, I just wanted to thank you and the Y'all squad for all that Y'all do. I'm a weather fanatic, and I really enjoy how you try to educate as you are streaming live events. Hope you continue to bring us the weather for the foreseeable future, brother. THANKS from North central Indiana.
I know we in southeastern WI haven't had the worst of any severe weather, but I am ***really*** looking forward to possibly almost a whole week of cooler and drier air. We do not need more rain, wind, or heat. If we have to ride out one more line of storms to get there, so be it. EDIT: It's more or less over for us around 10 pm CDT. The major outcome here is flooding which usually means an explosion of insects days later, which means the bats, swallows, frogs, etc are eating good. Extremely epic lightning and thunder too.
Slightly cooler weather without power is still sucky :/ on the other hand, if enough power is lost in your area, you'll be able to see the meteor showers!
We so appreciate you Ryan and your team. Especially for families w cancer and seniors being concerned w the weather and getting that heads up to help us learn and know what's going on. I so wish we could afford a portable solar generator these days for hubby w him being laid off two yrs into treatment w dealing w leukemia and Cushing tumor removal now Addison's. We need it for some medicine and food these days for sure in Oklahoma w storms going by a lot these days. We always love and appreciate you helping us w the weather Forcast.
I really like the new format, especially seeing where the storms are moving towards. Just seeing blobs and no doppler movement doesn't work for me. Thank you!
I live on the north side of downtown Columbus. I went to Easton where it sprinkled and then Hilliard where it was completely dry. When I came home my yard was soaked and a massive tree had fallen from the neighbors thru my fence and covered half my back yard. My husband was in disbelief that I was unaware there was a storm. That little burst was concentrated!
Oh, yeah, some people definitely don't. im fully aware, though. I lived through the August 10th 2020 Iowa Derecho. (left me without power for a week, and that week took its toll on my emergency supplies)
A derecho can cause severe damage, similar to a tornado. Wind is a very powerful force, and when intense rain combines with that wind, bad things may happen. Derechos are sneaky, too!
A very long time ago, I read a western type novel, and the people were sitting out a Derecho. It was very graphically described, such that my young mind could easily imagine it.
Looks good, Ryan. Seeing the whole country like that helps with your explanations. To see where the fronts start and where they end up. I've learned a lot from your videos. God bless you all ❤️
@@thicc_bladesmith662 They you'll walk out the door at 4:30 in the morning to spend an hour cleaning 18 inches of snow off your driveway at -20F temps. 😂
I like the look of the new format. Reminds me of Dark Mode which is just fantastic. And having a option to be able to look at radar on our own is a great tool to have to check how the storms you show us are progressing. Looking forward to it!
Like the new graphics, we like to see the big picture. Also, thanks to you and your team for all your hard work, we really appreciate a reliable weather source.
Great video/forecast! Suggestion - You guys should make your own app! I really like the new graphics you guys are using! I think you should keep using them! I'm really looking forward to when these graphics become available on a website and/or app. I think it could be very useful, especially to some people. I really like your merch as well!
That Derecho prediction was spot on - at one point, it felt like the entire line was spun-up with tornados - 6 in a row from southern Wisconsin well into northern Illinois - then 3 or 4 bearing down on Chicago as the line moved across Illinois. The new graphics or pretty solid. Love seeing "the bigger picture"....
I’m in eastern Iowa, we were hit with the deracio back in 2020 on August 10th and where I live we took the direct hit with the worst winds recorded, we’re coming up on 4 years in less than a month, hearing about the weather today and the possibility I’m terrified that storm gave me more storm anxiety than what I already had 😭
You have the coolest job ever. I wish I would’ve gone to school for this instead of HR lol Thanks for keeping us informed!! Everything is so easy to follow.
My college advisor told me that I was going to be "taking math for the rest of your life", so I found something else to study. Nowhere near as cool or fun.
Appreciate all the work you do here. This video made me even more aware of the storms, and likely saved my life last night when a tornado touched down in my town
I live close to a city called Rome NY it was hit by an EF2 tornado that was 300 yards wide with a 5 mile track. Top 3 largest and most devastating tornado in history of NY. Parts of city absolutely devastated.
TY Ryan and the team! I love the graphics that show the big picture 🎉 I live in Ontario 🇨🇦 directly across Lake Ontario, from Rochester New York. So when I see the big picture, it helps me alot ! Great weather coverage 🎉
Hope you and your family are keeping cool! Thank you for another Hall update! Can’t wait to see what you guys bring to the table for the active hurricane season❤😊
. As someone just modestly weather savvy, the new graphics are easier to grasp at a glance and so easier to learn from in terms of what to watch for in the elements of the weather. Thanks for thinking of us.
i love the new layout! what im not loving is all this heat lol, im excited to finally see some below average temperatures and lots of rain coming my way🥰
Love the new look! Easier to read without having squint at the smaller screens. My fellow Ontarians and I thank you for including us in your coverage when the situation warrants it.🇨🇦👏
I'm in the Northeast, gonna get squirrely here today. Wind in excess of 60mph. Hail, and all the rest. I'm concerned about microbursts, what do you think? Be safe
Had a tornado track right past my house in Manhattan IL around 930-9:40ish PM this night. I luckily have radar omega and saw the radar about an hour prior and had my wife get her shoes ready and got her and my pets all in the basement. It was a close call. The tornado was about a mile north West of my house and went through one of the subdivisions
This is really brewing here in Cedar Rapids, iowa. The air has got so much energy in it. The sound of the clouds is crazy. It's been active now for 30 minutes
I'm just west of that Rockford Illinois area and I'm glad we got more alerts than actual issues last night! We just hung out in the basement for about 45 minutes and only had 1 very brief power outage.
