Definitely my favorite commander out of this set, super stoked for another Rakdos banger. This is the first commander that I'm considering making multiple decks for just because both the abilities are so interesting. Thanks for watching :)

To me, the most interesting and exciting part of this commander will be finding a way to have both options complement each other, I just feel like the synergy potential is awesome with this card

I agree that’s why she’s so complicated, I don’t think there’s a way to nail the proportions without testing the deck out. Really looking forward to getting games in with her

First I've seen someone build around the Imp part of her ability, which I'm much more excited for!

Also would consider Raid Bombardment for more damage from swinging imps!

Me too! I played Red Devils in standard when I first started playing magic for shadows over innistrad, so I’m really excited to rebuild that archetype!

what I've found by playing 4+ play tests with a fully built deck is the sacrifice a creature cards are more often in my hand BEFORE another instant or sorcery card is, to even get the imp in the first place. It's slow/clunky until you can make imps to sacrifice.

I see, seems the ratios for instants/sorceries is the key to this decks success

@@levisdeckbox yeah it’s tough if you have any creatures or artifacts too (which you would) to split the instant/sorceries type between sacrifice creature and death touch. Idk if the imp strat is the move, might as well focus on controlling with board wipes and other win cons like direct damage, city on fire, command the dreadhorde, etc.

This is everything i wanted! I tried building around the imps as well, but since i have only played for half a year it got me nowhere... but this is the perfect stepping stone for me to finally build the deck i wanted when i pulled her

Honestly out of all the legendaries I was more excited for her. I had a deck with her first card and this is more exciting. Great build.

Ooh yeah those are good picks, it’s hard to find room for non instant and sorceries I feel so you gotta use only the most essentials

Since you’re going the route of creating the imps and treasure tokens you should throw a Mirkwood Bats in there too.

Yeah finding the balance between payoff and having enough spells to make the tokens is definitely the key part of this deck

Yeah I finally decided on the right version for me haha. I don’t really build budget free decks for myself so I figured I’d make videos that I myself would want to watch. Might throw in a budget free list every once in a while though, we’ll see

@@levisdeckbox I think it’s important for people to know that they can build functional decks without dropping their life savings on each one to get the very best cards. Plus, EDH is less fun if there’s no creative jank lol Also dude, I think today there was a Gruul commander spoiled that I might actually build, and I’ve never built a Gruul deck before!

Totally agree, I get way more satisfaction out of the game building random jank that nobodies seen before than getting the best $100 card I can lol. Yeah I saw that one, he looks pretty interesting. Ive got 2 gruul decks myself, Nikya and Kibo

@@levisdeckbox Amen brother, MTG should be what you wanna make of it. I sometimes get hung up on trying to build and play decks that are “good enough” because of perceived power creep in groups I’ve played with, but that takes all the fun out of deck building Those are solid Gruul deck builds though! How many decks are you running currently my man?

Luckily my playgroup (4-7 people) all share roughly the same mentality. Oh man I’m not sure I know exactly, I think I’m currently around 16 or so lol. I build a lot of decks from cards I already have and take them apart just as quickly.

I tried building a deck with a lot of cards like 'End the Festivities' and rely more on controlling the board through board wipes, and you're right; you might stomp people the first time you play that deck, but then people are going to realize what you're doing and save removal for her, and she's expensive to play already. People didn't really like having their boards wiped every other turn either.

Exactly! Ive played enough Rakdos decks that kill creatures easily to know that people will not let that slide lol it sucks but that’s just how it goes

All those red sorceries that deal 1 damage to each opponents creatures for 3 mana are suddenly one sided board wipes...

@@levisdeckbox cantrips creating imps and saccing them using things like deadly dispute to just churn through the deck. it was like a mini storm that just drained the table with each imp created.
