Engineer is really weird since it kinda fills the niche of a 2nd end-game dps tower, particularly in modes that give you lots of extra money, as well as being able to save you some money early game. It also fills a role of un-stunable dps like heli and ace, but works far worse due to medic's presence. It's mostly just a "bring it if you can" scenario, where it's not actively trying to be in the spotlight, but just kind of there to fill loadout slots which are already highly contested by only having 5 slots to work with
I understand they had to nerf commando equal to how easy the event for it was (seriously you should not get the best dps tower at the time from an event you could solo at only a mid level) but it’s really sad they just killed it’s usage and said “Ight let’s forget about it” which is stupid cause we all know they are gonna plop it up on sale to make it obtainable again someday It’s pretty much just a “I was here back in the old days” trophy
Necromancer really needs a buff, it has decent damage and the summons can be useful in certain conditions, but its very underwhelming for a tower with its price, its simply not worth it
I think they Should make his skeletons leave the base automatically and also like he already does currently and I also think he needs a skeleton archer to be more useful

I remember back when I started playing EVERYBODY use to use commando. It was good back then. To bad the devs literally massacred nearly every old event tower and never bothered to rework them
Gladiator and Frost Blaster are both good with Frost Blaster being reworked last update and Commando is being reworked soon. Plus there are some ideas going around for Slasher and Swarmer reworks.
Engineer feels like it’s suppose to be a jack of all trades but in all reality it constantly gets overshadowed, in early game you would also use something like golden scout, for mid game you’d probably use accel or maybe even g mini, for late game you would almost always use accel instead. I don’t think that engineer should be just a straight upgrade from accelerator but a rework idea would be to do something like give perm camo detection for other towers and sentries starting from level 2 or smth and also that upgrade would be pretty nice if it gave flying detection for sentries aswell so it could be used for hardcore, and buffing it’s early game power so it wouldn’t be overshadowed by g scout or even g solider like for example reduce the starting price or buff the starting sentries.
Solo grinding molten with glad is a MUST. The best map for it is crystal cave, where to avoid molten boss stomping your towers when spawning, you need to place your dps far away from the spawn, like the corner of the 1st part of the map. Engi does not have this issue, sentries will stay after stomps (unless you have 3 during rage mode activation, looking at you NM) so you can place them close to spawn. Not to mention, engi will immediately attack when an enemy spawns, saves a big chunk of time during wave 30-39. So it’s really good for molten grinding or if you have a bad team, and being able to do early game well in polluted is another thing to note when doing it for fun.

Necromancer Is such a cool tower but It definitely needs changes... 1) Breakers are the bane of all spawner towers, when they break they have a small amount of s which annihilates anything that comes into contact with it, mystery enemies don't have this when they break, just breakers, that needs to get removed or some kind of "exception" needs to be made for spawned units. 2) We have a lot of peirce towers, but not a lot of chain towers, and I think Necromancers earlier upgrades should be changed from peirce to chain, to make it have more consistent damage no matter where you place it, as you are already heavily limited on where it can be placed due to it's gravestone mechanic. 3) They need to reduce the initial placement cost of Necromancer so it can be used in the early game, since It's first few upgrades feel like they were designed for the early game. As it is now, usually by the time you actually get enough to place Necromancer down, the upgrades are so trash for the threats you are facing... 4) A lot of people dislike RNG in TDS, so having Necromancers RNG on the skeleton spawns be consistent would be nice, however, I don't particularly dislike the idea of an RNG troop, however what I do think needs changing is where the gravestones actually show up, I think the gravestones should show up at the end of the track and keep the summoned summon on demand mechanic, since the second enemies make it past the graves, necromancers whole gimmick becomes useless... I also don't think that the skeletons should die when you replace them, being able to build up an army of your own enemies to counteract the hordes of zombies sounds awesome, but to balance this, Necromancers grave charge should go from 30 to 60 so It isn't as spammable. 5) If Necromancers gravestones don't show up at the end of the track like I suggested in 4, then an alternate suggestion is that Necromancers range gets increased so much so that It's similar to sniper, and then you can place Necromancer further back while It's still able to create graves, It would also make it's max level dps feel more reasonable as It's consistent dps across the entire map, I wouldn't mind if his dps was lowered due to this. But anyways lemme know what you think of this, or If you had any ideas on how It could be reworked/buffed :)
Engineer: (Opt. 1) Make it fire burst or have a magazine before reloading like actual nail guns (the tower can make war-machines with missiles but can’t upgrade the specs of its own weapon.) Engineer: (Opt. 2) Make max level sentries have 2 gun barrels like those from tf2. Or add different varieties (like was suggested) that can be chosen like the jesters bombs (dps specific sentries, heavy hitting, or splash / crowd control.) Necromancer: (Extreme ver.) make the units it spawns unique to difficulties so that it balances accordingly (undead army for easy, molten soldiers for molten, fallen warriors for fallen. Special difficulties can probably just use the fallen version seeing that a majority are just fallen reskins. Necromancer: (semi-reasonable ver.) Add more ranged units as well as more unique units per level like catapults or giant skeletons with giant swords. The Necromancer should be a unique tower that is a powerhouse through its units unlike anything else already in game especially seeing it was hardcore exclusive.
I think having Engineer build a shield (blocks stun) like Mechanic from Tower Blitz which does the builder concept SO RIGHT, would be very cool or something like paragon would be awesome

4th place for needing a buff: engineer. Doesn't do what a lot of people want to 3rd place for needing a buff: turret. Really big placement size and a bad placement limit 2nd place for needing a buff: necromancer. A very complicated tower to use, expensive and doesn't attack for a while when using its ability 1st place for needing a buff: commando. The most nerfed tower in the game of how terrible it its it just needs a buff
I don’t have all the golden skins so I grind the hell out of solo molten or pizza party when I feel like it. Other than that, engi isn’t really good for much. It’s only useful just incase your teammate sucks at micro medic. Edit: epic buff I missed having 4 sentries (FOUR!!!!1!)
I remember when commando released and it was just stupidly op it had stealth detection on lvl 3 and its rockets would fire way more quickly and had a higher aoe and damage
I feel like turret is pretty good just because of its range and it having a bit more then mini gunners dps. it’s a bit overpriced and they need to change the placement limit
Necromancer should be more reworked to have UI and make the souls like a charge meter and you can spawn skeltons from the base and when you click on him you get a ui for wich skeleton you want to spawn, for example executioner takes the most (like 30 souls if the max stays 30) or a knight (this would take like 5 because it kinda suck) or the hollow guard because there like guards (could take like 10-15 because there like tanky), all would spawn from the base this rework would be perfect.
Necro itself is ok, it’s summons that is the problem. The graves spawn quite frequently at max level, but it still requires heavy rng for the dps to be good. My take is that either the summons should be buffed or make the graves have a set spawn (such as a max necro is guaranteed an executioner or something)
It is expensive to afford a tower that cant handle by itself while taking ages spawning graves, preparing to start attacking again , prepare to spawn units and then prepare to atack again. Necro by itself is not good either.
Golden mini deals around 130 dps while turret does around 210 dps and normal mini does about 100 dps So yea golden mini’s and normal mini’s dps isn’t even close to turret’s dps
lets be honest most of towers problem are because of accel overshadowing them and most of the problems if because of the game itself rather than the tower let me explain you have 2 towers one that has low dps but good splash and crowed control and the other one high dps but no splash both of them are good in different situations right? well in tds its a bit different tds is kinda way to easy in alot of its gamemodes to the point that your high dps tower can defeat the hoards to so that makes the other tower useless thats just a small example and accel is a total disaster it just overshadows everything take pursuit as an example pursuit is a good tower we cant disagree on that well why does no body use it? why is it so rare to see a pursuit? because well accel there is no much hoards and almost no gamemode has flying enemies for you to say "oh pursuit is a better choice than accel" + its targeting makes it so its high dps tower but unreliable on but with the presence of accel which is much more reliable on and much stronger why would i need a pursuit? i think they just need to change how the game is played and nerf accel when accel was nerfed back then before the rework players actually started using pursuit and engi because accel wont be there all saver any more but after the rework accel is back and even more op some other towers are just trash that even fixing the gamemodes wont help them nor its because its overshadowed its just trash like necromancer commando and almost all event towers
for me i think crock boss most likely need a buff man just remove its spawning limit and increase its placing limit elf camp can spawn inf so why cant crock boss
Fair point, and I would say it’s a good change, but keep in mind crook boss is something you unlock at lvl 35. It’s not supposed to be something you use end game, but rather a tower that helps you progress as a low level. It’s viable in comparison to the other towers you have at 35, so there really isn’t a problem with it.

Accel is pretty balanced it’s just engineer needs a buff. They need to either bring back the fourth sentry or make the sentries buffed by commander and dj.
To be honest engi just sucks for 4k gems when accel is cheap and better however some towers like paint baller is forgotten because tell me this when was the last time u even saw someone place paint baller some towers like the freezer are getting reworked since people want it but engineer commando need a desperate buff everyone just used the accelerator nothin else for dps like golden mini gunner was reworked as well as the normal one like what about the forgotten towers commando and paint baller??
I think you should mention slasher because the dps is not great, the range is awful and the special ability of throwing knives is WAAAAAAY too long, i think is the worse tower in game (without counting commando) and needs not a buff, BUT A REWORK, but your points are valid!!! Good ranking of the worst towers, you have reason in all ways ;) 👍
its actually good if the skeletons spawn on top of the enemies as the graves each deal i think 300 splash damage and spawning it on a horde can be really helpful but that is really situational
i grinded so much for the necromacer and it is so goddamn bad like i dont play with randoms i just dont like to do that it kinda feels to me like cheating so like i got 20 or less gems from a game maybe 25 if i got lucky and i had to grind 1000 gems like that
Hypothetical engi buff because funny: an ability to spawn a sentry that boosts all sentry's firerate by 50% and dmg by 15% at lvl 5 and mid game upgrades (the 3k cost one and 11k cost one) should be buffed to be better imo starting price 750 > 700 because yes and lvl 3 onwards sentries should get hd early game should have better firerate and enough damage to 1 shot abnormals with piercing like one of the comments mentioned at lvl 2
Chill bro turret is very balance since is for those who dont have gmini and accel and it dps is good and large hitbox is very acceptable in exchange big range but yea its replaceable when u have g mini (its not like u can get g mini in first draw) and accel
Maybe anti stun for stomps and such but there’s no way a real turret can tank a fireball, lightning,acid, and a goddamn giant pizza and etc so yeah if for stomp yes but other stuff naw
Im gonna be blunt. For the price the grind hardcore for engineer, it's really not worth it and it's a huge waste of time. You're better off just getting Accelerator and using those grinding for a golden tower. I don't see any reason to use Engineer at this point especially when it got nerfed to now have 3 sentries instead of 4.

There is one more thing i wanna talk about turret. Minigunner's DPS is about 100, but turret's DPS is about 200 (Without ROF Bug) but the funny part is Minigunner's Cost is about 1/3 of turrets, but IT DEALS HALF THE DPS SO THAT BETTER VALUE FOR MINIGUNNER! THATS IT.
Ironically in some days the engineer got a buff and is now better than accelerator, even with commander, and you have a real reason to use engi. Now her only con is hiddens, but yeah that's kinda fine considering accel con is targetting so it's balanced, engi is amazing for her dps and versability, and accelerator great for hiddens, that's cool! ig? Y' know what nvm, we all know best dps tower is golden minigunner. People are just too used to bring accel and engi that forget that if a full quad team uses golden mini they can get better dps, good game.
Engi dont need buff because its meant to help in end game dps not be end game dps and in can do really well in Earl game bc so all around its pretty gopd while accrl is only good for dps
Did you forget that rocketeer was buffed along with mortar, electroshocker, pursuit and golden solider in April of 2023? It’s dps was octupled (x8). It went from 8 dps to 60.
imo, sledger needs buffs rn, it just came back, and they made it into a dps tower. they doubled the cost, halfed the freezing time and made it deal more damage, making it absolute dogshit.
What if level 2 necromancer had a chance to turn an enemy into a random skeleton instantly and level 3 adds a lightning bolt to give it a little bit of crowd control
Necromancer should be something like engineer where instead of spawning skeletons in the lane, it spawns it on the side. Letting the skeletons live and swing with their melee. Also Swarmer is completely unusable after they patch the sting stack "bug"
it irks me how you didnt get ANY sentry expert sentries right. they are called Boom Sentry (placed if leads are the biggest threat), Cold Sentry (not placed if there are white or zebra bloons), Energy Sentries (placed when moabs are the biggest threat, since energy sentries have anti moab properties), and Crushing Sentry (placed when ceramic bloons are the largest threat).
Engineer actually sucks so much now. It used to be pretty good, but now it is easily outclassed at any point of a round. Early game? Use golden soldier. Anywhere else? Gold Minigunner/Accelerator. Engineer costs almost TWICE the gems as Accelerator and yet is outclassed by almost anything you’d have by the time you unlock it, including Accelerator itself.
they need to give toxic gunner hidden detection, toxic is my favorite tower ngl, and its viable early-mid game in fallen, but the shadows made me sell it and get an accel on wave 13, if toxic got hidden detec at lvl 3 that would be awesome, it would also be the most viable event tower to become an actual dps tower, id lover to see it get buffed to like 70+ dps
you're wrong man, if you combine it with a commander call of arms, it turns into a killere machine. You can just spam skeletons. I personally like unit spawners like military base and elf camps. But that thing is probably stronger than both of those at the same time when the commander uses call of arms. It is basically Ripped Elf and Railgun tank spam but you get extra damage.
A buff to make necromancer worth it Increase spawn to 4-5 Buff the dmg to 25 Guaranteed 1 executioner per necromancer And all the other skeletons buffed to 200 hp when max level And probably cheaper upgrades
The engi idea from taking inspiration from btd6 would be good like a mercenary base ui with 3 unit paths and there is like heavy fire and ice that would be good
I'd say between all these unbalanced towers, the closest one to balance is turret, yes its expensive, yes its not worth for its price but its good for players who cant afford the good dps towers yet. The only thing i would change for turret is double the placement limit and make it unstunnable cuz its turret lol. To counter this, i would swap its lvl out with mortar and increase the starting price to 5k
sadly commando will probably never get a buff, and even if they do buff it they'll prob make it avaliable to buy with robux which would ruin the whole point of having it.
Enginner should get a damage buff and the sentry at max become even stronger, and attacking flying and hiddens, with more than 200 dps each ( that gonna make some price changes, but if eng get a massive buff it still is good ) 200 of dps would make she have more than 600 of dps with all sentrys or 700 with the new eng damage, 6 eng would make a dps of 4200, which is very high I wanted like 909 of dps each..

The suggestion you guys made are just making Engineer insanely powerful by itself since the purpose of it is being jack of trades (can handle every waves easily but at the cost some towers are better in the specific waves) The problem that makes Engineer feels weak is because of the Acceleator since the tower itself isnt balance, its main purpose is to be boss killer but yet its shreds every enemies easily (except for breakers obviously) which kill its purpose
I feel like the buff they could give to turret an higher placement limit, from 5 to 6 / 8, they are supposed to be the free dps tower, not really a crazy good tower. Now for necromancer, he needs huge buffs in everything, it's a fun tower but still. For engineer case they can buff her early stages.

I understand where you are coming from, but keep in mind crook boss is supposed to be something you unlock at lvl 35, it’s not meant to be something you would use at later stages, but rather another tower that helps you progress. Basically it’s good for your level, it falls off later on, but it doesn’t need to do much more than that.
1. The engineer doesn't need a buff, it has the highest DPS in the game combined with its sentries totalling to over 360 DPS. The engineer itself is the weak tower but combine the sentries and they will carry. 2. Commando was nerfed for being way too op in 2019, so I don't know about you but maybe this tower was... I don't know... FORGOTTEN about? 3. Why is turret SO bad if you need it for lucille strategy? 4. Necromancer is still a bad tower. IF you don't utilize the piercing of it, and also even though you might be very angry over not getting 6 executioner skeletons in 1 summon, the spawns are still really useful for LATER GAME MODES! 5. Farm was just to make money to afford stuff lol i know it was just there for that
So it's should be like the engi should be able to solo fallen but it doesn't. But accel does so therefore that's how we can tell the engi needs a buff. And it did
I think engi should just be 2000 gems and you get her at level 50 so she can’t help you get accel which I change the price to 3500 gems which is a lot more reasonable or just make engi the same price as accel or make it 3000
well well well how am i supose to have golden mini before turret? i want some skins, buffing towers and many others i am lvl 47 now and i have no minigunner so i think turret would be just better and it still takes less place than 10 minigunners
Engineer. Does not need anymore buffs. It should be a 2nd dps support tower. It should stay that way. Grinding sucks and engineer should be a reward for ppl who are willing to grind more. But Accel should just be a tower that u need to grind for.
