@@anthonysulpizio2269 we have already sort of responded but this isn’t our “dream list” this is what we think Konami is most likely to do. We hate to say it but Konami doesn’t care about rogue decks.. they want to sell products. Changing the meta is what does that.
the reasoning of “bring back colossus he has so many outs!” and then naming all the things that also out ariseheart (moon, Imperm, eclipse, etc…) while asking for ariseheart to be banned is really funny.
And for the reboot topic we need a retrain/errata I don't believe it needs to lock opponents out of traps for the TURN in exchange for setting any trap because at that point its already an OTK vs trap builds 7/10 times.
Eh? Honestly I don't think its unfair, the down sides are really clear. The downsides just don't matter if you're a deck that entirely relies on traps as interaction and face against a faster deck that have hard to stop otk lines. Reboot is more used for stopping turn skip traps more than anything else honestly. Well that and dealing with set 5 antimeta decks which are usually cancerous as hell anyways.
Cooclock is a terrible hit imo. Hitting clock immediately invalidates ikea. This means that the best lab deck will be floodgate again. Also they should make a trap negate hand trap thats not a floodgate. Reboot was a horribly designed card. Its a floodgate that nobody recognizes as a floodgate, because it hits trap decks. Lich and lab arent fun, but we are getting new centurion cards soon, and reboot slaughters that deck.
You guys Really Hit The Mark here your Ban List Prediction here is Very Accurate, Bring back the Best Cards like Orcust Harp Horror and Thunder Dragon Colossus, I am a Thunder Dragon Player at Heart and I will stand by it!!
2 things. With cooclock, if its banned, lab players might wind up teching in temple of the kings. It is no where near a one-for-one replacement, but opening it will still allow for the immediate activation of a set trap. 2: branded is falling out. Semi-limit the fusion, ban lost, and i think thats enough to keep it down, but not out. Oh...and ban the puppet
@Chikayuki the difference between these and puppet is, that if you don't have a bystial/d.d. crow/ghost belle, it's impossible to play around. The others, you can get rid of them to remove the lock. Puppet lingers despite being on the field or not.
@Chikayuki minor differences. Orthros locks into fiends, so certain matchups, that effect is irrelevant. Also, puppet being a level 8 also has its niche uses in branded that orthros doesn't give, depending on the build/extra deck options one is using. Not saying it's a good idea to keep it around, but orthros is also ran in an actual archetypal deck, while gimmick puppets have never seen the light of competitive play in its entire existence
If Red Reboot only halted one trap, I'd be fine with it coming back, but considering it completely shuts down trap-heavy decks with one card, I don't think it should ever come back. I would love to see a new hand trap introduced that interacts with trap activations without just saying "your opponent doesn't get to play their game."
Everything you just said is complete BS. Red Reboot was at 1 and not searchable so if they had it, they had it. How fair is it for you to set all your engine traps and floodgates or solemn cards and prevent me from playing MY game but it’s totally ok for you to play yours ? You got it all twisted
@@SwagMaster824 I am adamantly anti floodgate and think they also need to be banned because, like red reboot, instead of interacting with a point of interaction, it blanket shuts down a primary function of the deck. Those cards are anti fun and shouldn't be in the game.
I hope arise heart stays in the game (not a kash player) Traps are supposed to take a turn yet imperm is allowed to be activated from hand Bystial lub just got a QCR and it gets a reprint in the tins if arise was to be banned the other kash need to be at 2-3 otherwise the deck will die and they are reprinting them in the tins I can see purrely getting hit again and possibly lab. I do not think the banlist will be so huge but we will see.
As a Rikka Sunavalon player, I'm just sitting back relaxing sippin' on my coffee smiling.....No but seriously Arise-Heart has to go, and fully agree with Logan almost every deck is playing Fenrir like seriously
I think eradicator is fine at 1. Could just be the fact Runick and Lab is a thing, so if those take a hit to be knocked down on the tier list, Eradicator may see different play or no play
Idk.. EEV has won multiple events on its own in decks that aren’t just lab. It’s a hand rip for 5 at times & just not a fair card. No matter the deck playing it.. it’s either 3 or 0.
Rather than unbanning a toxic card like colossus, can we ask Konami for a new thunder dragon boss for the deck? One that's cool and interactive (or helps the decks grind game, imagine a Dis Pater type of effect of recycling banished TD's and banishing others). I would much prefer that than their floodgate on legs
We Defiantly need another slaughter banlist like the end of 2019 with the likes of salad, thunder , Orcust and striker all effectively taking the L. Kash should have never been a thing to begin with.
My banlist prediction (only the hits) is: BANNED Arise-Heart / Puppet / Eradicator / Birth LIMITED Lubellion / Magnamuth / Jet / Dryas / Unicorn / Tip / Sleepy Memory / Dbarrier SEMI-LIMITED Brafu / Opening / Prosperity / Fenrir Have my reasoning for all these choices, especially that Dbarrier at 1
It’s crazy that everything in this list is not even debatable there’s so much happening in this format all these decks and blowouts need to be addressed. Even as a dragon player I even agree the house party def needs to be cleaned out ASAPPP!! Btw that coffee looks fire 🔥 lol
Skill Drain isn't banned in MD. It's at limit 1, just like in OCG. Just wanted to clarify. I've been hard coping on Harp to 1 for years. It'll come in time for Horus Orcust meta, trust no copium.
FREE MOMMY DRIDENT I think Reboot should be at 3 or 0. I think if Barrier continues to be a problem, instead of unhitting Reboot, just ban Barrier and Eradicator tbh
EEV is not the real problem at all, is just a very specific answer to the current meta. It could even be said you could counter it with Red Reboot. Trollmoney won't resist selling Prismatic The Bysstial Lubellion or the other Bysstials, for them to be limited, it's been ages since a banlist was really made truly for the game. I kept expecting/waiting the breakfast part of the video, it was a very cool thing from you in previous installments of Breakfast & Banlists~ nwn
Red Reboot is banned so we don’t really have much of an answer to erad currently besides crossout. Erad was never a fair card but the requirements it took were way heavier when the card first released years ago than it is today. Konami or Upper Deck or whoever designed the card never accounted for future meta games more than 15 years later where said requirements are extremely easy and able to be tutored out of your deck.
Love the copium on this list 😂 D barrier is fair to stop the rest of the turn skip decks. Skill drain is fine at 3 it doesn't top outside of regionals Prosperity needs the desire treatment drop it to 1 then later maybe 2
One card that could have come off the banlist to 1 for about a year at least right now is Electrumite. Pendulum is such a "why would you even play this" mechanic right now and Electrumite would really help give it some time in the sun. Specially since Konami is making more pendulum archtypes that dont fix in a "pendulum soup deck". Shoutouts to my boy Z-ARC getting new support in Age of Overlord. Also Tidal and Redox could very easily go to 1 without any problems. Dragons have enough engines nowadays (I'd know I play dragons whenever I can) and nobody cares about a -1 mill or reborn.
d. Barrier is fine. wiretap is a thing to stop trap cards. red reboot should come back to help manage backrow decks too. no one is playing jinzo. i rather have a turn skip versus not being able to play every single turn due to my opponent having a 7 plus negation board that keeps negating my card effects every single turn.
Only thing I disagree with are making decks unplayable. Obviously, if a deck is overpowered hit them and hit them good. But I’d rather see other decks that are hit on the banlist like salamangreat/thunder/ orcust etc to have they’re cards come back making them better able to compete
Shock master, Rongo Bongo, Azathot, Number S0, Calamities (VFD), Calamities part two electric boogaloo (HRDAKC), Kali Yuga next to be problematic? WHEN WILL THEY LEARN!
I am sick of every one saying arise heart to ban u can Imperm it u can dark hole it raigeki it u can tribute it and also I'm sick of the argument because a deck has been around for awhile ban it some people can't afford decks when they first come out and have to wait for the prices to come down there are plenty of ways for ariseheart to be delt with it's not a problem
I really think cards like Super Poly should be banned or at 3 not because they’re sacky exactly but they’re either okay or they’re not. Is getting Superpolied 13% of time fine? But as a prediction it works.
So If you ban arise heart why limit unicorn? Fenrir at some point to 1 I get it but it's a tin print. So a semi limit if they hit it. Same with lubellion tin reprint. Can get behind mag but people woukd still want lubellions
i agree with all except reboot it freaking stupid auto win vs trap decks, unless they errata it to say it dont prevent other traps from activating this turn just play trap stun or royal decree and leave it banned
Sorry but putting Fenrir to 1 is just a bad move. Just because it's a splashable card doesn't mean it needs to be hit. If anything, put it to 2, so it can still at least be useful, but not at 100%.
Foolish burial to semi- limit Monster reborn to 3 no one plays this card? Also called by the grave to 2 it seem like a fun card to have... Fun video cheers ..
You could also make the argument that shutting off the entire graveyard is far more powerful that stopping searching.. and it’s only searching not drawing. Also, for what it’s worth.. you actually can’t droplet ariseheart
Konami could ban thrust and I'd still draw 2. Love the list, personally I would really like red reboot to 1 unless Konomi prints a spin off of it like they did with called by. Realistically, there's still blue and green reboot they could make if they wanted to follow the whole striker color scheme.
I wholeheartedly agree with kash needing to be hit. It’s not fair that it is ridiculously easy to bring out a boss monster that just ends the game unless you have a very specific draw, and even then it might not be enough to get rid of it. I feel like spright elf needed to be banned, but I don’t understand how the same company allows arise heart to stay in the game when it’s way more punishing than elf IMO.
Konami pushing Dinos as of late with Dino still getting more support I see MISCELLANEOUSARUS going to 2 at least I’d like to see it at 3 highly doubt it.
Dimensional Barrier is not the issue. The issue is Konami making decks that are specifically using only one extra deck type of monster, but these decks at the moment are top of the Meta. So no, Barrier does not need hit and will fall out of favour when Konami gives us different decks on top of the meta that does not do this. Shifter also doesn't need hit. Gee Wilikers if only we had.. More of that card you wanted banned for so long, Called by the Grave? :P Which I've said foreverrrrrr wasn't as oppressive as you were making it out to be but WOULD solve oppressive cards like Shifter. Also, if Kash goes, Shifter would sink way back from the meta since so few decks actually play it right now outside of Kash. I also hate this notion, where Yu-Gi-Oh is fun if it's a 'back and forth' game. Yeah that's fine here there and maybe half the time but Yu-Gi-Oh would get incredibly boring and you think Yu-Gi-Oh players complain now? People complain about Runick but it's refreshing, it's a different way to tackle the game mechanics. We need more of this. It slows down the game, which isn't that a problem that the game is too fast? I am not asking for full turn skips, but Shifter isn't a turn skip. You just will most likely end on a less than ideal board. Same with Droll, Ash, or any of them. These are good things. I also HATE 'this deck has been around too long' argument. It means people like the deck and want to keep playing it. I am so against just cutting the heads off decks, especially because of this argument. I didn't even play Prank-Kids but was upset when they got rid of Meow-Mu. I had two friends that played locals every week, and loved Prank-Kids. And ever since the banning? They haven't shown up to locals since. I understand if a card or deck is doing something outrageously strong but Prank-Kids wasn't (it does nothing in the OCG and they have two Meow-Mu) and Dragon Link isn't now. It has also waxed and waned in certain formats, going dormant for long periods of time. I don't even play that deck either, but leave that alone.
Honestly, I haven't played this format. Attending locals felt like a waste of time when every other game was macro-drident pass, or flip skill drain, or watch runick fountain draw three (somehow Ariseheart annoys me less than fountain; really not sure how that works).
Adding this on: I've been playing MTG commander instead lately. Something about having 4-players is simply so much more fun. I'm going to try to see if they'd be interested trying a multi-player version of trinity format I've been thinking about.
i mean to me i wouldnt min tyrant neptune back (ik why it was banned in the 1st palce) but ert it where its effect says you can only target another reptile monster (reptiles need the support im seirous i use reptiels and even to me if it was just at 1 and it was ert to this i would still take it cause then the reptiles will rsie but now personally for a banned card or i should say dont un banned dont un banned mystic mine pls konami dont un banned it its a pain to deal with and its still difficult
@CrushCards but labrynth hasn't had any more events under its belt. I know that other decks "could" use it. But a fiend needs to be on the field for you to activate that normal trap. The other furniture are a bigger problem at 3. Most decks run coo at 1 and is a last ditch search of Ariana. Rarely do most even care if they see cooclock or not
Definitely feeling like the upcoming list isnt going to be too big. Hit the super annoying stuff, wait for the first list of next year for the massacre to get their money off of rarity collection. I WANT super poly banned, but with the yubel support searching it, 1 is the best were gonna get. Skill drain can go completely, makes me want to put my head through the wall. Same with shifter. Whatever happens, im picking up T.G from age of overlord
D shifter is the king of turn skippers 😂😂😂😂😂 ban that fraudulent game breaking card. yall said it yourselves multiple times that games are ending by turn 3. so who cares if u dont see shifter after turn 0. you either win by drawing it turn 1 or try to win normally without it
When it comes to modern yugioh I honestly don’t see a point in a ban list. Turns end in 2-3 turns anyway and most games are decided on the die roll. I say just start releasing cards back in the game let players enjoy the cards they want to play.
