Chris is one of those performers who just sounds better live. He's more raw and the simplicity of the music ensures the lyrics and his voice are center stage instead of studio versions where everything is tweaked to be supposedly perfect...when in reality, the sound of the live version is just simply better. Love it.

Aside from being an amazing artist, I love that he's just a regular guy who loves his wife and family, they have 5 kids I think. And the way she looks at him. She loves him so much. They've got the dream.

I absolutely feel this song. My husband and I made a life for 25 years in the greater Seattle area and in 2018 we moved to Tennessee starting over ❤️

The studio version is more polished. Which I hate for him, because he deserves to be heard with no interference. I, too, love his live performances best, with very few exceptions. Fire Away (the video) and Death Row are the two I prefer the official versions for. I know this song, but I've never seen this particular performance, so thanks for that! And I do think she is usually with him, the harmonies just make it even that little bit sweeter. They are made to be together in every way!

I'm totally with you on wishing I could get an entire list of his life performances. The studio version of this is a little faster and still good, but nothing beats him live
