Far Cry 5s and partly 6 had okay facial animations. Although you could see that Dan Hay put more effort into the projects than Yves did. Okay Far Cry 4 was better than 5s. Now I got little disappointed with Ghost Recond Breakpoints animations, I hoped they were better in a way. Guess Rockstar Games, despite their flaws, still holds the record.
I had never noticed it before but it's visible there with the slow-mo, I LOVE the detail of the tongue sticking out when Arthur drinks. It's insane that they even thought of it, considering that it's nearly impossible to see.
Don't you dare compare any game with Rockstar games. The details in RDR2... no game has that kinda details in game. That was a masterpiece 🔥. I have 4000 hours on RDR2 and im still playing the game but everytime i get new details
@@HypeXtra If you install the mods you're gonna love the game even more. And if you get the Red dead online, you won't even wanna play another game. I had 15-20 games in my PC, now i just have RDR2, RDO and Word of warcraft
@@Nate-bn5kk however what I REALLY hope doesn't happen is if this applies to the plot/story itself. That I will have a problem with cause Rockstar is known to quite literally ALWAYS hit the mark on every game for stories and gameplay. Even max payne for crying out loud
@@Nate-bn5kk Those who wrote GTA V also wrote red dead 2 etc and are also writing the story for gta 6. Just becsuse they use less swear words doesn't mean rockstars is woke. Also RS always wanted to make a bonnie and Clyde type game and that's what we will get with the story for gta 6. RS is big on story and after release they focus on the online side of the game more so gta online. RS isn't woke as you and others make them out to be.
Ubisoft will likely never outgrow their PS3 era. They peaked at FC3 and they’ve been chasing that high ever since without ever getting it. They need some new blood with new strategies cuz 2012 is long gone.

I never dictate the value of a game to its graphics and as such I’m able to enjoy older games, too - such as the older GTA games. Beautiful graphics do impress me but a beautiful game isn’t a game I’ll necessarily enjoy. That being said…… I was impressed by the attention to detail and how real Red Dead Redemption II looks.
This could've been remedied at least if the devs actually looked at the facial movement of the actors' performance in the mo-cap footage and tried to mimic it.
The funniest part is that driver san franciso, a game that came out 13 years before the awakening, has 10 times better facial animations than that mess.
Rdr2 isn't simply a game It's an experience, not only because of the graphics and it's realism, but also because of its miraculous attention to details that most wouldn't go as far to do unlike Rockstar. Despite having some issues here and there, it doesn't make it any less of a masterpiece. And quite frankly, comparing it with a game that arguably didn't have Even the slightest bit of work put into it is unfair. Adding to this finally, This Comparison would and could never be matched to the extent of being equal to rdr2, considering the fact that rdr2 is a game which surpasses it's time, it pushed the PS4 and xbox one generations to their limits and quite frankly I don't think we'll get a game that matches rdr2 any time soon, even as big as GTA 6 will most likely be I still hardly think it will come close to rdr2s Attentions to details ( considering that crunch culture is no more + Most ogs at rockstar are gone ).
Red Dead Redemption II was in the oven for six years with hundreds of millions of dollars behind it and thousands of overworked developers while Unknown 9 Awakening is developed by Bandai Namco and had to procedurally generate their cutscenes to cut on cost and time. Its a practice that has been going on for the past 6 or so years, that is why games like Spider-Man or Ghost of Tsushima can have stiff facial animations and awkward framing for cutscenes.
@@john_something_or_other I'm just trying to say there are reasons as to why the facial animation had to be sacrificed. This video is just grasping at reasons to dislike the game and people should know the reason behind the lack luster animation.
@@Thrilltime69 I just want people to know that the people that made Unknown 9 Awakening aren't bad at their jobs and can only make shitty games. Its a sacrifice they had to make for the over all quality of the game.
