*correction- Tashi Gyeltshen was not a Dzongkha Lopen but a general teacher trained at TTC Paro.
Watch Lopen tashi and gyamtsho reminisce about the 1980s and their songs. Thinley Gyamtsho and Tashi Gyeltshen popularly known as Gyamtsho and Tashi in 1980s were probably the first Rigsar singers in Bhutan. They are the men behind Bhutan's oldest rigsar songs. Together their popular songs from 1980s were Gola bumtha mathra, Wai dorozam, wai lhamo, droba atara, ausaphalay jomi bum and so on. They also wrote nursery rhymes. Thinley Gyamtsho solo works include "nga gi choelu masong", "wai dorozam 1979", " sazambuling di na", "aye mo", "ya gung gi thri du nima di", "dari na lu joen bi", "druk yul di na gawalu" and so on.
