Hello, FYI The HI mark stands for Harry Iskin. He made many Spray brooches in the 1940's. The majority are Sterling Gold Vermeil (Gold over Silver0. I collect his pieces, just Love them!!

The first piece looks Like an Edwardian era piece. The foil backing on the rhinestones are causing them to die. We call them dead stones. The foil backing is reflective.

Hi Rusty, I have come from Canada to UK to settle Mum’s estate. She has literally boxes of costume jewellery. Because she was a dancer she has a lot of large, eye catching, clip on earrings. She was 90 when she died so she has had these for quite a while. I am learning a lot from your site and very much appreciate all the time you have put into it. Cheers, Janet

I'm late to the game but in case no one has said already, the charm bracelet looks identical to one I got on a Caribbean cruise where Diamonds International gave you the bracelet chain and then you could collect the different charms from the different ports of call along your trip. Thanks for the informational vids!!

I think that perhaps the lines on the back of the metal material of the costume jewelry is to help the plating or coating from bubbles and peeling off. What do you think?

The Di Charm Bracelet is not Dior it is Diamond International They are from Cruises and they collect the charms at different ports. The Diamond above the I is usually a very small diamond

A question for a later video: Speaking of stones, on a jewlery piece that you know has a gemstone in it, what's the process you use to identify the stone? Suppose it's a clear, cut stone (not a diamond, that's easy), and you wonder could it be a Topaz, a Zircon, a Sapphire, etc.

Hi Rusty, I’m also from North Carolina and my father used to make turquoise jewelry. That was back in the 60s and 70s. The way you can tell if turquoise has been treated is if it is very shiny if it’s a little dollar looking it’s all natural and turquoise are found all over the world and they all are a little bit different.

I love that turquoise piece. That Di charm I think is short for Diamonds international.

Hi Rusty. I recently purchased a leaf shaped Coro brooch at a church sale. I researched to find a value and could not find any piece like mine. Upon further inspection I noticed two Coro marks. Apparently someone had soldered together two brooches and replaced the pin. My question is, is there a market for "modified" costume jewelry? Is it worth it to try to take the two pieces apart and "undo" the modification? Love the channel. Thank you for all your informative and fun videos.

Hi Rusty, the charm bracelet isn’t Dior. It’s a “give away” item not worth anything. Also I have several Brighton jewelry pieces my favorite brand-out of England. I’ve never seen that bracelet you show. I wish I had it! Gorgeous!

Do you know anything about the name FLORENZA with a C (like copyright?) at the end of a necklace with pearls and gold. Do you know anything about that name?

Hi Rusty! I need some help. I sourced a snuff bottle and it has tested positive for being solid gold! It looks really old, in good condition and it has designs that I have never seen. Google doesn't know either. I have no idea what to start the auction at. What would you do, if it were your item?

Alot of my jewelry seems to be " no good" according to pawn shops and I just can't get myself to just trash them due to I have invested a lot of my money into this to get into the reselling game to maintain out here and can't just throw away

I need some help brother, I have some jewelry that is like the jewelry in the beginning of the video. My pieces have w gold/brass color tone to them and they are stamped 14kt. Brought them to a couple pawn shops where they were tested and I was told they are no good. I keep taking loss after loss and cannot afford it anymore as I'm going broke with bills that need to be paid and I can't pay them because I just don't know what to do with these pieces. I'm lost, but if there is anyway you can lead me on how to sell/list this stuff, where to sell, what to call these items? You'd be helping me out tremendously. As I just now came across your channel and have subscribed. Please someone help me smh
