I went to Crossroads when I was visiting friends in LA and I was in a rush and found a pair of NWT Mother jeans so I grabbed them and didn't realize until I got home that they were fake! I was so disappointed lol. Other than that, I was in heaven with all the high end items!

love/miss your in-store thrift videos

Selling at a consignment style mall can be so awesome. We used to have a place near me that you could bring your items in set them up almost like a mini store, and you would tag it with your price and booth number and you didn’t even have to be there because the people at the front took care of everything and then you would just have to come in at least once a week to clean up and stock. And at the end of the month whatever you made went towards your next months rent and then you got the rest of it. I did really well when I had that. It was definitely a bit of a risk because you have to expect about a 5% loss of merchandise because people steal… But at the same time, it’s amazing how easy it is to put things in a booth that people can actually look at in order to sell. I always did really well, even when I just did pop-ups at like local flea markets… You could just set up a table for the weekend you did have to man it the whole time, but at the same time, it was really great to be able to put things out and sell it. There’s just so many options that way. Especially if you have a lot of inventory that doesn’t seem like it’s worth it to list online but that you know people would want. One thing I always did with my items when I sold at the place that allowed me to leave it and they did all the other work, was, I would set it up in a way, where I not only had things that I was hoping to get more money for, but I also did weekly deals. So I would add things that had a lower cost of goods. I even set up sales. Mine allowed me to run a 25% off sale on a certain color. It just depends on the location. But it worked well for me. I wish they had a location like that where I live… Because the old ones shut down before Covid and then never reopened.

Sooo first of all my mom and I love your vids. We watch from Nashville, TN and have notifications on. When you asked why you haven’t been to that store in 2 1/2 years and what you’ve been doing--we yelled at the screen “Being a mom, having babies!” Lol! You’re superhuman to us. We love your energy. I have three children and my mom just has me but we just laughed and laughed at you saying that. 😂❤

If you have the cash flow, I don’t think it’s bad to take risks on low listing/comps sometimes, in fact as a long time reseller some of my best flips are from brands that were new and upcoming brands.
