@@jasonk1891 I have no idea why actresses go that route. They might get fewer roles if they start to age normally but they get zero roles if they turn themselves into cosmetic nightmares.
I always thought Margaret would look really pretty without the unibrow and now that I see her without the show makeup the actress really is stunning! And her accent... what a twist!
Having lived in London all my life I can tell you that A) there is a distinct London accent and B) you can even tell a north londoner from a south londoner.
I've always wanted to see what Margaret looks like in real life. It's a testament to the makeup department to make her look like a man acting like a woman with a uni brow.
A smart actor doesn't mind playing a fool. A good hearted actor doesn't mind playing a villain. They don't mind because they know that's not who they are. And in this case a pretty woman doesn't mind playing ugly.
She's great in zoo... Took me the whole season to finally realize she was Margaret mcpoyle from sunny in Philadelphia... And I'm from Philly and watch the show like a religion... Incredible what makeup could do
Makes me recall a hilarious vintage interview with Margaret Hamilton about her getting cast on the Wizard of Oz. "...And they told me they wanted to cast me for the Wicked Witch...What?!"
It is funny that people judge others by their make up. If a person is good looking even make up cannot fix it. All they did in this GREAT show (my favorite) is to put one eyebrow and a mustache on her. And her character is great too.
"All they did (...) is to put one eyebrow and a mustache on her". Well, if you do that to any beautiful woman, she'll look terrible as well. Actually that just gave me an idea, it would be funny to create a tumblr where I could "McPoyle" famous divas.
I tried visiting Crossroad once, but it sucks. It's just boring old offices. That's why it was so quiet. They should turn it back into a shopping center. I know, I know, it might get all “touristy", but still.
How on Earth do so many people think she's an Aussie? I get this all the time when I go to the USA. To me, an Aussie accent is often closer to an American one than a British one. This woman is clearly from England.
anonamous365 Hahah yeah I thought that was a fucked up thing to say too. Obviously way more attractive than Margaret McPoyle but who says that about themselves. 😂
