She made it to one of the biggest shows 'Britain's Got Talent' at just 15 years old. Just how did she do it? Sarah Ikumu shares her story with Anita Nderu.
I remember watching her audition on RU-vid as I'm a huge fan of X-factor and Britain's Got Talent and thinking, this is so awesome. when I saw the caption "Kenya girl", I just thought Kenyans were just trying to be entitled. So proud to learn that she is actually from my homeland
Sarah Ikumu the Golden singer. Her voice is too strong for age. Wow you r blessed girl. I love your guts how you stood on your ground when Simon asked you not to sing 'I am telling you' mob love
Shida moja na Media ya Kenya ni mnangonjanga msee amake it huko nje ndio mumpe airtime, we have to address why Kenyans are making it big anywhere but in Kenya
Wow wow!Sarah Ikumu,I didn't know she's Kenyan while watching her on RU-vid at got talent and I noticed how she performed so well, congratulations to her,she has a bright future ahead,we are proud as Kenyans.
Sarah is British of Kenyan origin. Not Kenyan. But we are happy to share our treasure with the world. She is phenomenally awesome. Never heard Glory sung better.
Getting a golden buzzer from Simon..anyone can give a golden buzzer..but when Simon gives it for a singer????!!! ...then you know..plus ....A standing ovation?!

THE INDUSTRY NOW A DAYS WANT YOU TO SELL YOUR SOUL AND I HOPE SHE DOESN'T GO THAT ROUTE AND THEY MESS HER LIFE UP!!!!! I HOPE SHE CONTINUES TO LIVE HER DREAM THE RIGHT WAY!!!!🤝🤝🤝🤝💛💛💛💛🧡🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Wow what a voice. Everytime I watched Miss Ikumu I cried I think its the way shes singing its emotional. She has a beautiful even when she sang high notes man I m so glad I watched her. Luv it and God bless her
Uninformed Kenyans don't even know that she's the only Kenyan I know who has even gotten a golden buzzer by Simon and at the same time killed it the Apollo.
I barely just discovered Sarah, and I heard her cover of "Spotlight" recently with S.A.M....she is the protege of 1990s house music icon Melanie Thorton!
The world should get to know the Sauti Soul that she kept mentioning in the interview, the group is very loved in all parts of Africa especially Malawi, they have performed there for three or four times in the past few years
Funny how we're calling her '17 year old Kenyan' but when she was asked where she's from in her Britain's Got Talent audition she didn't even mention she was from here... Wacha ata Kenya hakusema Africa... Sometimes we should stop praising people only because their 'roots' are from here... 🙄🙄
Heavy Voice indeed.. Now all Sarah needs is a good classical song to sing, where are the song writers when we want them. We have an audio ready, remainder content
