Great video Andrew... the edits are awesome! I recently picked up a gopro and am gonna use it from now on! I also am convinced I will be making my snares like yours from now on, using the hay wire. Much cheaper than the other extension wire I have been using! I had back surgery 4 weeks ago and after watching this... I am anxious to get on my feet and back in the country! Thanks bud!

Nice Savage, I just got the exact same one but a .22. It has the heavy barrel and accutrigger just like yours. My heart leaped when I saw you with it, now I know for sure I got a great rifle! Still need to shoot it though. Great video by the way, thanks for putting in the extra effort making it even when you didn't have to. Simply beautiful Andrew

The first two minutes do an excellent job at describing the anticipation involved with trapping. It's a rush that never gets old. The GoPro stuff is really good. The getting water shots are as realistic as it gets. Guys around here use the chainsaw early in the season and then place an insulated roof made from styrofoam and 2x6's to stop the hole from freezing too thick. Or get yourself an ice auger with a 10 inch bit! The days are getting longer. Enjoy the bush before the flies. Thanks.

Andrew I learned a long time ago how to use a needle bar, what you do is hit the same spot in the ice several times and soon it will start shattering all around and just keep pounding around the outside of your center hole toward the center, you'll find you can make a large hole in about 4 or 5 min depending on how hard you can strike the ice Just a little tid bit.. Keep the vids coming really enjoy them.

I really like my Savage .17HMR too, most accurate rifle I own. My neice (never shot a rifle before) put 7 rds. under a dime at 50 yds. with it! Mine is the bull bbl. with wood stock and I put an old Weaver K4 steel tube scope on it.
