They Added 20 New Factions - Dawn of War Unification Mod Major Update 

Hi, Voice Actor and Writer for both the Steel Legion and Death Korps here. The Steel Legion currently is going to get its own patch called the Steel Patch which should release in a few months that includes a massive update to both models, its unit roster and voice lines. However, if you are still attached to the OG voice lines, there will be a separate voice pack for them called Legacy. Also, about the Hellmarch, yes I made most of the sounds for the Death Korps and while the march is from CnC, the one I used was not from the game itself but from the propaganda reel that game got it from, hence why no music.

The "underground tunnels" was always how the guard's teleport ability was explained.

Krieg is a fun faction indeed. If you want a game-mode that really suits them, try out survival mode. You have to defend against 10 waves of increasingly stronger hordes of enemies as the name suggests, and Krieg with all their defences and artillery, is a great fit for that. Especially if you up the pop cap to 30/30 or 40/40. Just be careful not to get too close to the enemy base or it spawns a doom wave of high tier tanks and/or relic units.

Important note: If you enable the titans win-conditon and play Krieg you get access to a "teleportarium" building in the advanced building menu that allows you to construct a big airship and if you also enable the tier 2 titan win-condition you can build a massive warlord titan! All the vanilla factions and some of the modded ones have all gained a "tier 2" titan, which gives them a titan that is stronger than a scout titan.

Are we just gonna gloss over the fact that the Lord General, a regular dude, is one-handing a full-sized bolter!!!!

The Steel Armageddon Legion are Mechanised Infantry/Armour specialists who fight on the hive world of Armageddon, the air is toxic, the gangs are brutal and the planet is most famous for withstanding MASSIVE Ork invasions. Sentinels and Basilisks with the close armoured tops are Armageddon pattern vehicles. Commissar Sebastian Yarrick is a very famous officer from the two Ork wars on the planet for besting an Ork Warboss and stealing his power claw!

Immediately went and listened to Hell March after this. Yeah it now will drive me crazy hearing the sound clip in game, that song absolutely slaps. Also, figured i should fill you in on what was happening with the Rubrics when you killed them (the basic Thousand Sons infantry) - essentially they are just dust in a suit of power armor. when they 'die', the dust leaves the power armor and goes to inhabit a new body. essentially they never actually die, as long as they have a suit of power armor to inhabit they're effectively immortal. (Thousand Sons are my main tabletop faction and i thought it was a cool fun fact)

The Death Corps of Krieg Field HQ's sound effect is from an unknown source of a stock "drill march." Not only it has been used in Red Alert's hell march but also at Battlefield 2's USA theme

As someone who collects and paints warhammer models, the best advise I can give you Shack, if you're scared to try, is not be too worried about the end result. If you've never painted models before, you're bound to make mistakes, but I guarantee that you will be happy and proud of what you were able to accomplish. Also, thin your paints and apply multiple thin coats

I love that the Rubric Marines actually have an animation where they crumble back into sand when they die. I havent played much of them and figured they just used standard marine animations.

Try place those bunkers outside of your building control zone. I plopped one in front of enemy base... Also maybe now you'll use arty doctrine and men of Krieg in crucible campaign? P.S. Book/audiobook "Krieg" by Steve Lyons for Krieg lore - past and present in one package.

If I remember correct, Rubrik Marines are basically souls trapped in power armor. Something that their Primarch did.

This mod is so cool. I've played ultimate apocalypse and I found it really fun but I should really give this mod a try because it looks so cool.

Im absolutely in love with the fact that they added Trench Raiders. I created my own Melee-Krieg trench raider squads years and years ago to fill the very same role. Being S 3 doesnt matter when your weapon is S X2 AP -3 lolol

Shack you have to set your units to hold ground. It’s the infantryman that looks like it’s running. The blue version means they fire at enemies in range, but don’t move to engage or chase them!! Great vid though! Love the Guard!!

you can increase the max unit and vehcial cap in the skirmish options list as well theres a new addon mod that removes caps on things like tanks and grenadiers

The Steel Legion is a wholly mechanized unit. It's there loophole for having tanks mixed in with infantry.

I think the whole perpus of the steel legion was to use huge amouts of armour to defeat emines, leaving infantry battles to the death korps, (they are sorta the armour version of the kreig with iron ahrd discipline and a lack of belive in other regiments so they think if they not doing it themselves then it wont be done right, they also where the reason armageddon DIDNT fall too the orks so ide say they a prtty solid lot)

Hey Shack just a FYI to follow up about that "Hell March" issue you mentioned. Frank Kelpacki the writer of the song actually wrote several mixes/variations of that song when it was being put together into C&C Red Alert at the time, the small clip your hearing from that HQ in your video without the awesome guitar riff is one of the song variants that never made it to retail sale, or getting remastered.(The Dev mods wont likely change it to the one we would like to hear, as they would be subject to copyright claims from good old EA) As being a C&C fan of Westwood Studios from way back in the days of the 1990's with Eye of the Beholder, Legend of Kyrandia, Dune, Lands of Lore, and I have some of the rare collectors limited edition Audio CD's for Command And Conquer.

About the rubrik marines, they used to be flesh and blood, until a certain sorcerer messed up a spell and now they are literally empty suits of armor with some dust in them.

6:44 then Im so happy that the first place I heard that sound clip was from Caesar 3. this also means I expecting the sound of my ordering the spear throwers movements order to play about 0.5 sec later.

Just starting the video, but if the Krieg don't get a morale bonus when arty(friendly or otherwise) is raining on them, I'll be disappointed. Remember Steel Legion was one of the first big mods for Winter Assault, they got like 16 to 20 different tanks they could use, it was amazing.

The Macharius (Mack-are-ee-us?) is named after the Lord Solar of the same name who led one of if not the largest crusade since the Emperor’s own great crusade 10,000 years before. It only stopped because he reached the edge of the galaxy and couldn’t physically crusade more, though unfortunately many of the conquered worlds eventually slipped from the Imperium’s grasp. I recommend reading into his lore, since he’s an extremely important guard character… Sorry for the long post.

An interesting thing about the krieg is the among other faction their unit the grenadiers has that passive thing like the guardsmen where if you upgrade your hq you gain more units in that squad BUT unlike them if you manage to build enough resources and to upgrade and build the maximum amount of hq you can get about i guess 20 grenadiers in 1 squad which is funny when the trench grenadiers doesn't have that (would have been fun since i love mass tanky melee unit), although there a limit in how many you can build (2 grens and 5 hq), the amount is still enough to make that squad basically unkillable against most infantry because of how much dmg they output might as well use them as meatshield and infantry slayers.

trench raiders were real in wwi and a number of their helmets look very space marine

Threre is a check you cant tick in the skirmish settings that allows the basilisk to auto fire at targets it is off by default.

So, can you install this like ultimate apocalypse? Because i ain't got patience to download and intall 200 different faction downloads.

That steel legion basilisk is correct in the steel legion since the closed top one is the armageddon pattern, aka ullanor aka the home world of the steel legion

yeah about the loss of control thing, turns out if basic infantry like soldiers and death riders get morale loss you lose control of the unit untill they recover, grenadiers dont get this as well as some other units, learned about this from the death riders comissar ability that states it literally stops them from suicide charging the enemy, should lso mention its only movement that you lose can still tell them to throw granades and other things

Not to mention that some sounds in Imperial Fists come from StarCraft.

I don't feel the guitar riff would fit with death corp of krieg's whole serious theme the line is also slightly different c&c ending line sounds more like haa where as unification has the proper military hup.

I've just downloaded the new Unification Mod 6.9, and I already have trouble with it. Every time I tried to play either a seven, or eight-player map, the game CRASHES. I tried the Nt Core, and it didn't help. Any ideas on that? Some help would be appreciated.

I screwed up the instillation today. I need to uninstall and wipe everything clean and start . I still got total apocalypse and the other one on there. Titanium. I have a question. How do you remove the fog of war effect from your playthroughs? I think I have installed the mods correctly but when I run a skirmish map (haven't tried campaign), I can't seem to zoom out too much otherwise I only see fog. Any tips on regards to solving this?

They added literally almost every live Primarch such as Rogal Dorn, Leman Russ, Vulcan, Fulgrim, Angron, and even some named characters like Kaldor Draigo. But me sad no Guilliman for ultramarines.
