Honestly the spear kinda seems to completely toss out the nerfs crytek did to melee tools. Like they nerfed the melee tool damage against bosses to encourage weapon slot melee items and guns with melee attachments. However the spear throws that into the trash.

@@Datboygrey axes arent 1shot if it hits you on the toe, nor do they have a basically instant light melee that does 105 damage, and the throwing speed of the spear is crazy faster then the axe

I really like the spear but i think it should be a melee weapon. It feels like there are a ton of tools that encroach on the role of shotguns now.

There's only two that kind of come close and both are very unreliable. I dunno that the spear, theoretically, has no business being a tool, but I do know that it is certainly far far too powerful as is. It can one shot literally anywhere on a body when thrown and has insanely smaller damage drop off than the bow or crossbow. If they make the damage scaling more appropriate (honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it was just straight up bugged right now) then it'd be fine.

Reading patch notes I thought it would be a spear, but in reality it is freaking ballistic missile. Speed is too good, drop is too good and what is that damade? one shot to leg, really?

The spear completely outperforms both bow and xbow. Yeah it obviously has much much less ammo but onehits people better than bow and if you get pushed you can throw them faster than the crossbowcan shoot

"Hornet better than Rachta" Hard to say, but has this person ever seen you play together? That is something truly worth discussing. Any trio vs Hornet, Rachta, (Delaney, Gunsmack, Vombuz, Quin, "Others I cannot name atm") is literally the God Combo. The spear would have been ok as a medium slot melee but feels too powerful as a tool. As a side note, I do not like the idea of the tool slot becoming deluded with more weapons...if you want people to carry three guns so badly then just add a third weapon slot.

It one-shots if it hits ANYWHERE up to at least 50m. It's a little busted. Also if you light melee spam it w/stamina you it swings very fast

How did the Krag do 125dmg from a chest shot in 20:50? Seems like damage remained the same for the gun, so it shouldn’t have been able to one shot a hunter with a missing small health chunk. For the record, not complaining or throwing accusations, I’m actually just curious on what the buffs were to the Krag

The krag did get a damage buff (as per the patch notes), and according to personal testing from the shooting range, it can one shot downed hunters to the chest for up to 41 meters, anything over 42 does 124 (non-lethal). It showing 124 still on the stat tab is just a visual bug.

Because he is carrying a sparks pistol with the same ammo type. When you carry guns that have the same ammunition type they share an ammo pool
