I think the probability upgrades is a fun idea but was poorly implemented. If they had been cheaper and all 50-50 chance of success for a smaller upgrade then it could be more fun. But having the entire game swing on one 5 million gold upgrade that can fail a bunch of times just doesn't feel skillful. You either succeed and easily clear the map or fail and are doomed no matter how well you play. I'd really like to see another custom map maker try it again with a little more thought put into it. What I'd really love to see are successive upgrades as you clear the map that progress from rangers to soldiers/snipers and then finally to oil units so players would be incentivized to use all the unit types instead of just amassing a crazy amount of one unit type for the map.
or you could have it cost something, and % chance of failure goes down on the second attempt. if you really wanted the failure mechanic. alternatively you have a 5 million gold upgrade that upgrades SOMETHING at random, titans, snipers, soldiers whatever 2x attack speed or whatever. eventually it hits what you are using, or if it doesn't you could switch to using them. if you really want a failure mechanic.
Around 1:20:00 , the option to use gold to buy zombie waves is actually to spend all of your unwanted gold after upgrades because you have nowhere to spend anymore and if it reaches a certain limit, the game will either crash or you will suffer a suddenly negative gold deposits.
man you would have to not be spending anything at all. Unless the devs used a weird less than 32 bit unsigned integer to store for the value of gold then he would have to save over 4 billion gold for that to happen. Then again I wouldn't put it past devs to use something weird like at 20 bit unsigned integer for something like that because they figured no one would need a full 32 bits to store for gold.
The percentage chance thing feels like the map creator was putting in gacha mechanics. Because every loves random percentage chances to win things, right?
@@MrHardstylefever China is huge on throwing money around to show how much better they are than their peers, which is why most whales in mobile games are Chinese players. It's a status symbol over there, because if you can spend 10000$ a week on a shitty game, you're clearly "wealthy" and thus of a superior class regardless how much in debt you are behind the scenes.
Great Video, love ur gameplay. Just to help you a little coz all the triggers are in Chinese and all zombie types are written in nicknames and that really Fvck up the translater. In those triggers, the name “G胖” means Giant, “高达” means Mutations, and “三高” means three types of advanced zombies so Harpys + Spitger + chubby. So for example in 49.05 the correct translation for the front trigger is actually: In the front, this will trigger the zombies that were supposed to spawn in the front housing area, and that will be 100 Giant(G胖),(&)Mutations(高达) + 5000 three types of advanced zombies(三高). Really feel bad for u coz the translation was so bad😂
love the video but a little recommandation id like to make is to either turn down the volume of the game or turn up your voice's volume, hard to hear over the game's sounds
its about the harsh reality of what the world conquered by zombies and the final humans making there last stand against the horde but yeah this map makes it look almost comical especially since it makes you use only one unit type when there are several along with an assortment of towers you'd normally have to use just to survive 5 giants in a normal game and this custom map makes it look trivial with just soldiers and Tower spam...
Great video again. That expensive Aoe should be swapped for something like double damage. It was way over powered lol. Could of won it with 100 troops lol
On the other hand if you pick the + damage option at the start that last upgrade actually makes soldiers way worse. It increases damage a bit, but reduces attack speed from 2.5 to 1.
Hey Kensei. I just finished watching a video of yours called "shade V" that you posted about 2 months ago. It's a TAB video and i'm wondering if you will be playing that again because you didn't win that map. I really liked it and i think you can beat it. Anyways, love watching your videos and keep up the good uploads!
Yes, once there is a video on youtube I'm usually done with a map for one reason or another. There are some rare cases were I revisit a map. Currently no plans to revisit Shade V to answer your question.
Agree with others that the research function is basically a win/lose situation. I don't want to play a 70 day map and lose out on the 5M upgrade 3 times in a row and literally have no way to beat the level. Just dumb.

I really wish map makers would stop marking out all the building locations and setups. Kinda makes it stale to watch the same things being built in the same way over and over again. Like I get that it's efficient, but sometimes that can just get boring.
Nice gameplay and commentary. However the game feels a bit empty/pointless. More buildings. More troops. More zombies. More money, bigger numbers. Maybe the intelectual effort is in the measuring of when to expand and to understand a neat build order. But those are self-created games within games that dont really represent what it is. Also whats up with the half assd translation, cracks me up every time an unreadable wall of symbols pops up when audio is in english.
