Honestly, banning a Tear name is a harder hit that limiting all of them. It makes them both less consistent, more fragile and less powerfull, since now they can only fusion 2 times per turn

I think I just realized the actual reason they banned Merrli instead of Kitkallos or any of the others: Merrli is the _lowest rarity,_ so they can ban her with less risk of losing money.

Pure Spright lose their frog engine was a huge hit, but Spright can be mixxed with other decks so the deck is still strong. 86, Block Dragon should be banned long time ago, but still good to see them gone. Getting Tearlament to a good place is hard, but so far I like what they have done with the deck. The deck does a lot of interesting and cool stuff but very easily becomes overwhelming. It would nice to have it in the meta without it necessarily being the best deck.

The point of a ballist shouldn't be to make a deck unplayable but to lower the ceiling of the deck so others can compete.

i love how they continuo in using the banlist to make decks as inconsistent but still able to do the same combos as possible. tear is now out for so long even in master duel as well as spright so why can't we just ban kitkalos and then when they do their thing it's it's worse in totality but at least it's not that every other game you get high rolled

Overall I'm happy with alot of these hits. they focused on cards based on how unfun and problematic they are. Not based on the competitive meta.

This ban lost made me so happy tbh this is probably the best ban list this year plus kash coming in makes tear even more unplayable almost makes me feel bad “almost “ the branded needed to be hit harder tbh the deck is this too strong with all the support it gets

Tearlaments Merrli got banned to make Tearlaments slower, not unplayable. Pot of Extravagance got semi-limited to make rogue decks slower, not unplayable. MD doesn't tries to make decks unplayable because it means less cards available to buy = less revenues. But still limits and bans certain cards to push players to buy the newer cards.

Farfa just dosent know. Orcust banish for cost so they have to bysteal preemptively and most of the time orcust is the last part of the combo, so there hitting orcust cards while I'm still waiting to drop bystiel synchro combos.

Block makes me sad because I just started playing my first non-net decked list ever in Yugioh (which was a megalith and the boards were from decent to bad but I enjoyed it)

YOU may not have seen rhongo in months, but I have ben sales ban+Rhongo'd multiple times in the last few and it fucking sucks, it's the worst floodgate combo.

I do think this will drop tear down a peg or two. I would think the 2 decks to beat for now are dragon links and lab, does depend on what's in the next pack though cause if we see more kashtira support it might be all over

No worries, I'll go with Six Sam and FTK him anyway. Also, Block Dragon is a preemptive hit for Superheavy Samurai. The bastards can VERY consistently FTK in a multitude of ways when Block Dragon is around. They are trying to get rid of any semi consistent lockdown and FTK combo because most new players will run into them, unaware of what is coming and unable to do anything about it, and instantly quit. Additionally the incoming decks bar SHS have little emphasis on negates, making this going second instawin combo much more feasible. And that goes double for the less powerful decks that are incoming, like Mikanko, Vanquish Soul and RACE that many players want to play because they are a lot more interesting than everything that has come for the past few months, and WAY more interesting than Kash and Purrely, wich are incredibly boring Towers+lockdown turbo decks. To strike closer to home, my Crystal Beast deck, wich I have had decent success in ranked with, can't consistently put up multiple negates either. Rainbow Ruins is too inconsistent without Golden Rule and with FBG limited, and you can hardly afford the resources to search more than one Crystal Miracle, if any.

My only complaint is I wish all the dragon rulers were limited to 1, and chaos ruler was banned.

My top 3 would be Spright Jet (my poor Chemicritters), Block Dragon (deserved but couldn't even taste its gameplay in Magnet Warrior) and Rhongo (should've been banned on release, especially in the current event it's so boring to play against).
