Clever loophole during the negotiations; improved chemistry gets around the legal barriers and lets his grievance win out. That said, would trading the formulas for antibiotics really be considered giving things into the wrong hands? There's more to a soldier's kit than guns.
for sure but considering the people he's negotiating with deal in weapons in particular they would likely try to downplay and devalue anything else he brought up.
yes XD. If they manage to study antibiotics, learn what they do, and how they do it. It could lead to weaponized bacteria. They have a god of science more then likely XD.
looks like my comment was deleted. Anyways yes it's a bad idea. They have gods for everything. God of science gets their hands on it and bio warfare begins.
You also have to realize that an overwhelming majority of medicine is just diluted poison that ends up being beneficial to us when taken is extremely small doses.
@@ryanmalloy4923 Sounds just convenient way to deal both other worlders and gods at the same time....Wait few years and populous gets wiped out by bioweapons and hence gods loose their worshippers and loose their powerbase. Now you just have weakened Gods to deal with and few insulated pockets of resistance. I dont say this is ethical by any means, but its one way to deal with it.
@@ownedmaxer607Agreed, sounds like an oversimplification that attempts to brush away the nuance of methods, intent, and results when discussing the morality of pursuing an ideal.
@@sarahmellinger3335 Nonsense, thats when its needed most. Although, i'm kind of reminded of how Raymond Chandler described the kinds of protagonists that made Hard Boiled fiction work (in his essay "The Simple Art of Murder") "He is the best man in his world and a good enough man for any world. In short, he is, to use a rather trite term, a man of honor."
You know it's not exactly advanced, but "caster gun's" could be produced by the dwarves, of course the single shot cartridge would add the right amount of combat adversity and panache...a miniture black hole bullet shot never gets old.
@@sik3xploit They even existed historically, so there is precedent. Bayonets obviously, but even things like swords with a pistol built into the handle/hand guard were things.
This was very exciting, I've seen the other side in animes like Gate where humans mob up the resistance with the power of weapons so seeing that his weapons aren't worth much in a land of magic was quite refreshing, interesting characters (especially the MC) and good story so far, hope this continues!
At least with Gate they were more likely using heavier ammunition due to experiencing the invasion during the first episode. While the ones he’s using are of the lighter variety, due to them being meant for long-term use by foot soldiers.
Also comparatively in gate, they need someone who can use magic vs in this setting where all adventurers are granted a high regen. Normies would have been dead
He just didn't aim for their heads. Sure, body abd limb shots don't do anything to folk who regenerate and thus won't die of bloodloss, but head and neckshots are still instant kills as Evetta mentioned that getting decapitated would still be lethal.
Pretty sure the mer-girl's price was HER love for the guy. She looked really nonchalant and unloving until she was changed back into her merfolk form, at which point she flung herself into his arms.
I don't agree. I would have preferred he used a Howa 64 or 89 to stay closer to the Japanese referencing but since he had to get rid of it anyway I guess it didn't really matter... Still getting rid of his weapons was a really stupid idea. Even if they would have been useless after he ran out of ammo.😂
also if the ak make(manufacturer) was of "poor quality" such as under-developed or poorly managed countries(chinese includeded), then its drawbacks(cheap nature) and likeness to jam/malfunction are significantly higher and essentially garbage.
@@crazyginger9889The AK is known for being one of the most simplest and sturdiest guns in modern history, just replacing all the parts with stronger materials, replacing the cheaply designed parts with their more sturdier but more expensive design alternatives, and boom. Expensive but sturdier AK.
Honestly? I like this one - the idea of a Tavern doubling as a temple seems fitting for the setting, the idea of guns being mostly useless due to blessings and magic is well-explained (show not tell) and the MC having to struggle after being robbed and betrayed like Naofuni from Shield Hero is a set-up that's worked before. None of the waifus are annoying or tragically flawed mary-sues, either. There's much worse stories that have gotten the Anime treatement, so hopefully this one gets some attention and love :)
Really? I wouldn't consider guns unless, remember that's only true because he's going up against other adventures and not the dungeon itself. Also remember that he only incapacitated the guys and didn't out right kill them which gave them time to recover. I don't think head shots and a few holes to the heart is going to give you much of a chance to recover. But that being said having his weapons rendered useless is interesting since they would have run out eventually though having the advantage at the start would have made things easier from him if it was only temporary.
technically this cat god made the best choice because it can benefit of entire armies from another world and they can all follow her without question just by knowing that the first had success with it
Hard to find Isekai that do anything new. This stands out. And thank god for the merchant confrontation. It had been damn near 40 minutes of getting screwed. Catharsis was welcome.
@@Unlimited121120 different worlds, different minerals. Expecting all worlds to have exactly same iron/steel to exist is silly in a fantasy world where magic supposedly exists. lol
okay so lets assume magic has made it possible for new elements and by extension minerals to exist so the swords aren't the same iron/steel. By natural progression of weapon evolution swords would still weigh in around the same. This has to do with physics and gravity. Swords are excellent weapons due to there design and weight to be cutting weapons. That design also puts most of the weight towards the handle of the sword for balance and effective use. As well as being easy to control when used. If the weight of a sword became heavier in this case it has too weigh more than an ak since he can't even get it completely up off the ground. Your talking about a sword that is in excess of 5 kg or 10 lbs. that would no make an effective sword unless the people using it had twice the muscle strength and body weight. otherwise it would be unwieldly to the people in that world due to inertia while swinging I don't mind suspending reality to some degree for the sake of fantasy after all i really enjoyed berserk that sword however completely impossible but its fun, however in the case of this one you can't have our protag who can measure up to people in this world in a fight strength wise only to have such a disconnect with the weight of a sword vs an ak.@@juups86
on another note though the bow is also a reason I find him not being able to wield a sword a bad plot device. To be an effective weapon a bow needs to have a certain strength which translates to a draw weight. So for it to be sold as a weapon to fight monsters in the dungeon it would easily have a draw weight in excess of 40 lbs more like 100 lbs or 50 kgs to match the lethality of a war bow meaning he can at the very least draw a bow with a draw weight of 40lbs but it is more likely double that draw weight. So swords in that world would have to be stupidly heavy for him not to be able to pick them up and we run back into the issue of the physics and inertia.@@juups86
Wouldn't it be more worth it to grind Genshin/Starrail for 5 minutes? Trying to watch a 56min video even at 2x speed is just not worth it in a school environment.
for any interested the way he is holding the d\bow when learning is just called table top and when you do this for archery make sure to turn sideways from the bow with feet shoulders with apart so you will have a better aim for when learning but you can do what feels better after you learn also start with a 15 pound bow dont ask for a kg bow just ask for poundeg even in australia where i am from we use pounded for bows even a 10 pound bow will work well for starters but a 15 pound can be used for longer since you wont have to buy a new one for a while
@@Bloodborne11639 Mangas regularly never make it pass 30-50 chapters. Unless they get popular enough. This one just didn't make the cut so its been axed.
This would have been awesome if not for the entire focus of the manhwa getting scrapped halfway through just to do nothing but have the MC revert over to the exact opposite of what the focus was supposed to be within the manhwa...............Smh
I hope this is not one of those fantasies where guns get completely disregarded after the first few chapters. Couldn't they at least enchant those weapons with magic?
1:28 There is a God in this world as well. Thankfully our God is a God who would allow Himself to be crucified in order to save us from ourselves. Jesus is Lord.
it would have been interesting if the hunt for a deity sponsor, included some kind of commandments as the reason for his inability to join. After all normally every God/Goddess has rules that their followers must adhere to.
