yes! I witness alot of newcomers to Canada. they are genuinely very hard workers, and I am giving you this firsthand. the problem is that we just don't have the capacity for a influx of so many people at one time

@@tinalaursen8993 We are not obligated to financially support him. He has assets and a good retirement salary back home and he doesn’t need protection. He stayed with us for a month and left on the day his return flight was booked. A few days later we found out that he decided to stay for the 3 months he was allowed to stay as a visitor. Then he decided to claim refugee status cause he was advised by his lawyer that it was the easiest way to stay. He kept bugging us to write letters to support his fake claim which we refused to do so. We informed immigration that my husband and I do not support his case and we are being asked to lie to immigration by him.
What about the working Canadians who can’t afford to live anymore? Problem where I am is people, especially teenagers can’t get a minimum wage job because immigrants took over and only hire their own. The future of our youth is doomed with this government. Sad state.

Immigration needs to be paused for Canada to recover and process the people here. There were nearly 7 people to every Canadian birth on Canadian soil in 2023. That's 7 foreign workers/illegal immigrants/"refugees" and "International students" to every Canadian birth. Our housing system is collapsing. Our services is collapsing. A full moratorium on immigration for at least 3 years, followed by limited increases every year until we reach 150,000 per year. That number should never rise. And we should only be taking in immigrants from compatible cultures like Europe, East and Southeast Asia and wealthier parts of India.

I came here for almost 2 years and I do see all things are broken. 1. Too much people come in the country without additional supply of job and house. 2. IRCC is not working with aligned policies with the government. There is no transparency in IRCC. So many PR application backlogs. 3. Grocery is getting more and more expensive. 4. Rent is getting more and more insane. 5. Those injection sites are harming people from my point of view. I always see those vampire-lookalike people standing in the middle of the street doing nothing but just acting like a bended statue.

Well there is nothing wrong in still accepting people through the proper immigration channels, and if you have people like doctors and healthcare workers, people we desperately need here in Canada, looking to immigrate, why wouldn't you try and expedite it for them. I'd rather let intelligent USEFUL people immigrate to Canada instead of just a bunch of young adults from India that are simply looking to get their foot in the door to Canadian citizenship by going to some community college diploma mill and working at a timmies location, never actually providing anything of use to Canada.
