In addition to using L2 for goal keeping anti-cheese, there's a new meta and not using it is basically gimping you. You ofc don't have to follow the meta to a brim, not even japanese tournament winners do, but there's an important core of 4 characters that increases your ability to keep up with the opponent massively. Xene, Fubuki, Riccardo and Axel. Using these 4 character as a core increases basically all your offensive and all defensive stats by 50% for the slight catch that you can't foul. Build all other 7 characters the way you want, choose tactics you want, choose formations you want, play the way you want. There are a plethora of way you can play this game without being "optimal". Not taking that massive bonus that only costs 4 characters, 3 of which are great, is putting you is such a disadvantage, so just know that.

Actually the only usable teams are bond and counter. Alongside the four justice's players you were talking about. Full tension May be also good, but not as good as the ones i was talking about.

Currently the pvp of the beta should close september 30th. I think we will probably hear something then cause they didnt announce anything on the 16th anniversary. My guess is either december because of the holidays and their previous releases or early 2025 ;-;

So for the record the cross goals can easily be stopped by realizing that that's the plan and using ZL, L2 whatever in order to control your goalkeeper so you can move them back to the middle(I also use it very often to steal balls from forwards who get too close before they have a chance to shoot and damage my KP) also isn't crossing in order to avoid interacting with the goalkeeper a option in all the inazuma eleven games(although I can't remember ever doing it in go) what makes this implementation that different(it has some easy counterplay if you know what your doing so it's not as bad as this video makes it seem although I can see the fact that it's online focused maybe being enough of a reason) Anyways hope your move goes well(My cousin is coincidentally moving this weekend as well)

Thank god I got max rank in the first few days. Now I don’t have to deal with this to get the ranking reward. But it’s probably inevitable that when there is ranked there will be players who abuse everything abusable to get up the rankings.

I hardly disagree - its not that tactics is bad (on contrary, I was always pissed that keeper could basicaly teleport and save every shot at the goal), its just the keepers AI is terrible and don't behave like in a real football match.
