Today we were going to be attempting the Beta Overseer in the Tek Cave using the newly released Ceratosaurus however they decided to add in a timer for the Tek Cave in single player

Would have been fine if I would have got wiped if the timer wasn't there. That is the only issue with that run really. Sucks that they added that into Single Player

Dont worry about the timer. The one hour timer will be enough time. People playing on private servers solo have the same timer to deal with.

Just a FYI. I run the cave riding a carchar and have the dinos follow each other in single file line. At the end cryo carchar

I talk about using one around the time I did Gamma but decided not to. Have tried single line but they always get stuck bad if more than 5 or so usually for me

Aww i feel bad because it seems like i only ever comment when something bad happens 🙈 Dont worry about the timer though Bemo, although it would be better not to have it, the timer is only for you to get *INTO* the boss arena, once youre past the doorway and in the main fight you're fine even though the timer is still there and runs out. Better saddles for the ceratos im not sure, but when they were a mod, the creator managed to add the saddles and blueprints to the loot pool, im not sure how it is now they are official. Tip for the tek cave: Take a throwaway Carchar inside, they fit in the main door and you can clear the cave with ease, they dont aggro sunken purlovia though, so having a single cerato on follow should bait them out, by the time you get to the giga you will have your Carchar buff to 100 so should have no problem taking it out, then when you're at the bottom just grab all your creatures from the top as nothing else spawns and bring them down. Hope this helps!

Yea I thought about the Carchar but it always seemed like cheesing it too much to me as it is like taking in Giga in. Next video we try again but more issues happen...... 🙈

I would suggest a small pack of two or three mate boosted ceras. You could have them follow you on the yuty, and whistle to attack while boosting them. Then just go back every so often to get one of your five lines of five. Although, the theris are still better due to veggie cakes, and the reduced damage they take against the dragon in the tek arena.

I think a small pack of two or three would be manageable. They would just need to be following you individually and not following each other. I know the timer sent you into an unexpected rush, I don’t agree with it either. But you were missing out on more damage and you were taking more damage than needed just because you didn’t have the mate boost. Even just having one follow you on neutral would have saved you some time. Again, hindsight… I’m sure you would’ve done things differently if you would have known about the timer. I think your current strategy will work though with a few tweaks.

Aw man, Bemo. 😢 That is some nonsense!!! I find that cave ridiculously challenging not because it’s too hard but because of the game mechanics. Putting the timer on is just so unnecessary and unfair. I’m sorry you had such a frustrating experience.

Since the clitch in the game along with the time messed your game up, go into God mode and get your tames back and start over. Take some Rex's with you to clean your way.

With the smart pathing you may need to be on the other side of the lava to pull the giga, it will walk around ledges otherwise.

That. Was terrible ! They definitely need to remove the timer. I’m so sorry Bemo, I know you worked hard on the preparation for this and it’s just a shame. Congrats on almost making it through the cave part of it though. Definitely an accomplishment of itself, that giga messed things up at the end.

Hello…there is a simple question… I play on server and mod structures won’t place I am in console I try to place upgrade station it won’t is there a patch??..😢

Unfortunately I have no idea as I don't play with mods yet in ASA and I only play on the Steam PC version. Best bet would be to check with the server owner and maybe make a post on the official ARK forum to try and get some support there for it

Did you spawn them in? I have had issues with dinos I spawned in change stats.

They are all hatched. I don't spawn dinos in. Ceras are currently bugged with their stats as I have read others having the same issue with them

I know you're frustrated because of the timer, but the timer is only relevant for the Tek Cave and getting through the door of the Overseer Arena. Once you initiate the Overseer fight, the timer does not matter, per the wiki. I have not tested this with ASA, but this was the case with ASE. If this does not work for ASA, then WC should definitely remove the timer from SP. I hate seeing people lose valuable tames and gear because WC cannot provide for SP players like they do with servers.

Yea going to do some testing tonight. People have told me that it is a bug and the timer doesn't do anything in Single Player and is just a visual bug so we will see

The timer is just a visual glitch, even on official you can go past the timer, I e done it multiple times, you can also take as many people and as many creatures you want there is no cap as well as any level character, I’ve seen lvl 1 characters go through it, we e done it multiple times with around 65 players inside

@@BemoGuinness Most definitely - the tek cave takes a long time when there’s group of - I couldnt imagine how long it takes as a solo! But like you said it’s taken you hours to breed hatch raise then take over volcano it’s a long time! Wildcard really need to rethink the timer and the bug of Cera stats lost 3k health before you started on each dino madness🤯🤯

Ooofffff. That hurt. I know you dont like mods. But a cryo mod allows you to use the cryos in the tek cave. Then you only gotta get the one creature thru the cave and then throw the rest out once you get thru the cave

That use to be blocked in ASE even in admin mode. Have you tried it in ASA?

Yes I actually just ran thru all 3 tiers of the tek cave doing just that. I used the peloris(spelling it wrong) cryo mod and change the settings to allow use in the boss arenas/ artifact caves. And you can throw out the dinos anywhere. Doing it solo with a timer. That mod is pretty much a must have now.

on official servers the 1 hour timer is just a scam , it's bugged and we do tek cave in more than 1 hour if we gonna bring dinos to fight , sorrry for your loss my guy , next time will be a better one
