Anubis in the solo lane is a monster now that he can move with his one. Unless you know before hand that its gonna be him to counterpick someone that can stun, his one just wrecks everything

HiRez made so many gods less fun this patch. Mostly self healers. Mast has criticized how most self healers got nerfed unfairly. It's not just that though... They had fun taken out of their kit. Doing more damage is like the most boring type of mechanic in the game. Knowing your healing thresholds and outplaying by managing your life steal or abilities was the defining part of a lot of self healers. Most of them, especially Anubis, just feel so boring and empty now. :(

I’m one of those people that just watches and doesn’t play I played during season 8 and 7 but after that i forgot the jungle lanes and it changed to much for my tiny brain to remember so I watch Mast and sometimes Rexsi but yeah no longer play smite. Love you tho mast thank you for teaching me to begin with and appreciate cama for the awesome god he is.

I watch every upload you make and almost no other Smite content creator and haven't played in around 2 years! I like watching the game and hearing your commentary than playing it. Not because the game is bad or anything, I just like watching people better than me. :D

I played Smite for about a year, about 4 years ago. One of the updates made the game extremely unplayable and not fun. I came across youor videos by accident last year. Now I've watched every single one, and all your live streams, and I now play daily. So thanks for showing me how to enjoy it again!

Anybody have any ideas why that AMC was showing an overshield literally every time you see him after about 19 minutes? Like I understand he had bloodforge and that cerb had heroism, but he had the overshield when he hadn't been in combat for a while. He literally had it every time you saw him for almost 15 minutes.

I played a little bit of smite a long while ago on ps4 and in general play little to none of other mobas, but Mast is a lot of fun to watch and listen to so I watch the videos and vibe along :)

In response to the start of the video: I watched smite videos long before I ever played it (prob like 6 months or more) and I stopped playing Smite many many years ago, but for the past few months been watching Mast. Still not playing it. So yeah, there’s definitely at least one person that watches this video that doesn’t play the game :D

I caused a guy to rage quit after I ganked him as Anubis. Did a quick blink of an ult to finish him off. But yeah, moving in his 1 is very nice, makes him that much more threatening. (Though I’m sure there’s still a lifesteal/healing build, most likely for the solo lane to fill a “frontline” role)

The AMC/Cerberus/Ne Zha combo was going ham this game. Baron did his thing as well. So much CC.

SMITE has got to be one of my favorite games of all time, but I haven't played it in probably 5 years now because my electronic-ego can't take it. Thanks Mast for doing the dirty work so I don't have to.

I admit I am one of those people who don't play smite and still watches mast. I did play way back in the day like 2012 or 13, I picked it up again about 3 or four years ago and I started watching mast to try and get better then of course mast disappeared for like 2 years and I just happened to see it and be like oh shit I remember this guy he was kinda funny and was pretty good fuck it I'll watch it even tho I gave up on smite before I hit level 50.

Idk man I agree that Anubis has been pretty meh recently. But I don't seem to be suffering from that lifesteal nerf at all bro. I go from like 200 to 2000 by just doing my 1 on a camp. And in combat it's not MUCH worse. I think he's more than better I think he's meta now. He's been my main for years but he got so bad I couldn't bare playing him and just here recently I went 38 and 6 as him. Every time I play him I feel unstoppable. If there's an enemy Anubis I just play with him until he misses his 2 and then land mine and nuke him down. Then get a free healthbar basically. I think he's way way better

I do watch you play on 1.25 speed though, the game seems too slow if i don't. It's crazy you can move during the 1 now, i don't know if i like that..

They need to change Anubis's ult. I think his ult should have a lot of life steal and his abilities stay the same. That would make his more like Anubis.

I couldn't disagree more about anubis, it feels like as soon as you get bancrofts online you are basically unstoppable, unless you get ganked early game, when you get typhoons though, if you had a decent early game you're basically ungankable because of the absurd amount of damage you do, once you have max lifesteal you heal off of 1 minion wave and being able to move during your 1 makes it easier than ever to confirm a kill off of your main combo (2-3-1)

Anubis is definitely not nerfed. He is played now more than ever and just as effective as ever

I'm the guy that disagrees, the movement and the extra ticks make all the difference. His downside was removed, he can now easily shred objectives, squishies, tanks and be mobile while doing it. You don't even need to hit the wrap to full combo someone. He's pretty nutty right now.

Hunters destroy a life steal anubis better to go with only a little and then go with more higher damage and pen like just get typons for the 20% and increase to what you have and spear,orb and I would do the two books and arcmage gem the one that gives movement and the tablet and soul reaver for extara damage on all the ticks.

He actually isn't nerfed, so they did the change because they changed the out of combat anti heal, then made it so antiheal can't go above 80% and he heals 20% extra off lifesteal so for the most part he's fine. I've seen Anubis still heal his whole health bar off 3 and 1 with just like.. 2 or 3 lifesteal items. They just upped the power of the lifesteal items to make you heal more artificially. Basically how it works out.

Used to play smite and watch you, but stopped playing smite because it feels like they are never going to optimize the game and the lack of balance is too volatile. Love watching every smite channel still have game stutters every other video still. I like the idea of Smite but honestly its a let down what they don't do with it. I get that it'd be harder to balance for a 3rd dimension, but despite not being top down smite hardly uses it functionally. Sure visual effects make it look like everything is not on a plane like the Paragon clones and Gigantic, but any jump is really just a teleport where you just deal damage at the other end and takes the duration of a visual effect of going in the air. That's why you get weird interactions of getting knocked up out of the end of a jump or getting interrupted despite visually looking like you are in the air. LoL and DoTA just have an easier time balancing and honestly get more creative due to mechanically and visually being restricted. Throwing anti-heal and anti-shield on the same items is not healthy and becomes a solve all. Or just give it random things like ody bow for abilities or a worse Spartan Flag. They nerfed healing originally to slow out of combat healing, but then change it later so that its really only useful out of combat. They make trees for healing but also have healing passives in other items outside of the tree like regrowth. Honestly with how many items give effects on kills or assists, should that be a tree? Why are there only two flavors of ward (not counting bracer because that is a relic which feels like it could have just been a consumable)? I get that big numbers are exciting, but why do we get over 100 in any stat (besides health and mana(also reduce those))? Tanks tanking too well? Make more choice between health and defense/ add pen onto items . Damage dealers doing too much? Make more choice between damage and attack speed/cooldowns/ add more recovery/ reduction to items. Honestly with how bloated every item is its less choice and more grab the fattest ones that patch, there is not really MUCH choice based on counterplay. Glyphs were just Hirez being too lazy at the time to make another item tree, don't @me, I mean have they added any new ones or have they just been modifying the same 10 or so? %Pen and Mitigations should be more scarce. If we add crit, inherently luck based, we should add its counterpart evasion and that could lead to an evasion tank or a tricky assassin, even though I feel those both should be restricted to characters and not items or based on situation. Radical ideas: Split between only melee and ranged, ranged obviously gets ranged attacks, but melee gets 10 movement speed (because doing it by percentage and assigning a vague number of 385 is dumb)(100 would be 10 of the player model away in one second which would be ridiculously fast, but also would have to involve trolling to heavily invest that much into it). Take away base damage and just have everyone with 10 power, 10 movement, 5 ability defense and 5 auto defense to start. make every character limited to two cc abilities. Remove stats from base starter items and remove any item that uses another stat to just do more damage or have more power(Book of Thoth, Glad Shield, Axe of Animosity). Could have a system like Paragon where you buy into stats to then get passives. Every level you can buy 10 of a stat unless if it is maxed and that can be bought anywhere but you go to base to buy the passives with gold. Levels not upgrading abilities so its as powerful as its going to be but becomes powerful late game through stats.

I've been dealing with too many Anubis solo's and jungles to say...he's definitely not worse. He's more insufferable than ever. To make him worse they'd have to either shorten his stun duration or remove one of his 3 passives. HE STILL DOES NOT NEED CCR, PROTECTION STEALING AND THE LIFESTEAL INCREASE.
