I knew it She gets the dragon to 200k-300k pre buff (otto's super Murasaki) now with just a np buff she probably covers most of that extra damage needed and then the earth attribute is just dancing on the dragon's grave Murasaki got a big buff oh Mibano

Well I mean, Ryoma is a team support who happens to have a hard hitting ST np, Murasaki having better damage isn't much of a tradeoff because they both lack survivability, at the very least Ryoma can help the team if he can't np. Murasaki can't, but her performance as an ST rider is really good, Ushiwakamaru might actually have competition now.

Very VERY wrong about her not being able to support. I'm not sure why people act like his support is any better than hers. The only thing he has over her is the fact that his support applies as buffs, instead of debuffs. The problems with debuff support versus buff support is that debuffs can miss, and she only debuffs one enemy. But, her second skill temporarily deals with the inconsistency. Sure, the debuffs might be single target, but they scale higher. The 30% arts down lasts less time, but she applies another 20% per easily-spammed NP.

@@Ottobean The problem is a support is meant to provide immediate benefit and not take the place of the Dps' role. Why do you think most people run a team with 2 pure supports and 1 dps. Because you don't have to use the supports np to get the job done. And if you do, you are usually playing the game wrong. I am not saying his support is godly or anything, I am saying, because he can either provide a lot of support and deal damage he is useful. Murasaki on the other hand has issues, she needs to np for arts support, her defence down is something most dps' can replicate with a self buff. So she literally brings nothing to the support table thats worthwhile. Ryoma brings an attack buff, an arts buff, a charisma and a charge drain if you happen to use his np. I am not saying Murasaki can't support but her ability to support is really gimped. Its like argueing Caligula is an amazing suport because of his np and then you look at his skills.

@@yammoto148 What are you even saying? You sound like you have a very flawed, very rigid idea of how to play the game. You know why people always use two supports with a single DPS? It isn't for the sake of practicality. They do it primarily because that's what everyone they watch does. Double DPS with one support is actually way more effective than people give it credit. Having two consistent sources of damage makes you a lot less likely to get screwed by bad card RNG. I can list a bunch of setups that I have uploaded on my channel that involve multiple attackers being simultaneously fielded. So, what's the goal here? In one sentence, you say "get the job done". You immediately contradict a low-set goal by trying to gatekeep strategy or something? "usually playing the game wrong". Very confusing. You listed some "problems", which are just bullshit. "Needs to NP for arts support" is just flat-out wrong. 30% arts-resist-down on a skill. I listed her NP because she can offer additional support if you use her NP, which requires very little investment because she, unlike Ryouma, has 60% battery. Apparently, though, it's fine to list Ryouma's NP being able to drain as a positive in a supportive role, when Murasaki does the same NP with better supportive effects easier. I guess you're not doing it wrong if it's Ryouma's NP. "Her defense down is something most dps' can replicate with a self buff" Yeah, and if you use her support on top of their own buffs, they do even more damage. That's how support works. I think your point there was that her debuffs are low value? Yeah, 30% defense down and 30-50% arts resist down with a 20 starbomb is pretty mid. No where near Ryouma's 17% attack buff, 20% arts buff, and 15 stars. The real highlight here is the fact that you made a comparison to Caligula, a servant who debuffs on his non-damaging NP that he can't get easily. Murasaki has support value on her skills, and her damaging NP is just some bonus support in that regard. She doesn't need to NP for her support, and even if she does, she does a lot of damage. I respect that you're trying to find edges that he might have, but it is a cruel truth that they made a better version of him and then buffed her before they buffed him.

@@Ottobean Double dps setups? Might as well use 3 K scopes with 3 strong dps servants then, why bother with supports in general. Like you can make an arguement with servants that synergize well like Double Gogh or Sherlock with most art crit servants, but to go and take 2 servants as dps' where they are forced to split buffs is inefficent. Your logic isn't sound, card rng only really sometimes stops you from 3 turning a boss its not such a detriment that it makes using 2 dps more viable. Its very wonderful that Murasaki has such strong single target debuffs. The problem is as single target they are only going to be used for bossfighting which is for 10% of all the game's content. And the real challanging bosses which she should be used for usually have debuff immunity. I mean Summer Abby has a 50% single target buster down, you don't see people saying she is broken as a support. At least I can say Ryoma is a poor mans plug support for the moment.

@@yammoto148 You are making it abundantly clear that the extent of your team-building knowledge is very limited. You know that there are a lot of supports that have AOE buffs, right? Are you aware that you don't need a huge amount of damage for everything? Doubling a broken support is overkill most of the time. A lot of times, you meet the damage requirements with just one buffer. The bit about card RNG screwing you can actually come into play if you aren't using the strongest supports. Y'know, like most people who play the game. Sometimes you really need to get that NP for a specific turn, or maybe your cards have to finish off a bar. That's when it's nice to have another attacker, since supports usually don't do much damage. I can't tell what your standards for "viable" or "efficient" are. You continually use a bunch of arbitrarily quantified measures of value, and since you never elaborate, you can just keep shifting the goalpost. Does "viable" mean something that can consistently work? It should mean that. I think you have this strange notion that says that since you observe something else working most of the time, the thing that you do not observe working is "not as viable", which somehow translates into "not viable". Is the concentration of applicable content relevant to this discussion? We're discussing two servants who occupy the same role in that "10%" of content. Any marks you make against Murasaki for being niche apply to Ryouma, so it seems completely pointless to bring that up. While we are on that note, would you care to point out some of the bosses that have debuff immunity that Ryouma outperforms her against? Godjuna is a pretty bad fight for both of them, since they both have no survival. Demeter seems like a good pick, but she actually does extremely well there. Skill seal and NP seal can disrupt her skill cycles. I'd say she can be a big carry there. Okay, you really need to make a habit of double-checking servant skills. I had a feeling you weren't doing that, since you were listing merits for Ryouma that Murasaki shared, and the comment about Abby's third skill confirms it. If Abby had 50% resistance down, that would be pretty crazy. 50% buster resist down and 70% defense down would be really good, even if they would be limited to a single hit.
