picking out utility pins make noise that enemies can hear... but surprisingly with a molatov it doesn't work, its silent... noticed this in my mirage palace lurk. please confirm...
@@suhridchaudhary1791 No, removing the pin doesn't make any noise. Throwing a grenade makes noise. The only noise that any grenade makes before throwing it is the molotov - enemies can hear it burning but only while you hold down left click. If you don't hold down left click, it's silent.
@@suhridchaudhary1791 removing greande pins does make a sound if you do it straight away after you switched to it, if you wait for 2 or 3 secs with nade in hand I think it is silent.
@@SABRE117 This is simply not true. There is a prime sound for molotov, and a throw sound. There is no 'pulling the pin' sound for any other grenades in the game.
I always for 7 fucking years knew that you can't hear switching weapons but I still can swear on my life, I've heard someone switch their weapons Ok, I get it, I'm schizophrenic
austin, maybe you could make a short video about what you can hear and what not as an enemy. I come from cs 1.6 and still don't know for sure when exactly I make sounds audible for the enemy (shift+jump, reload, zooming, throwing grens etc.) and how far away they can hear it.

I would rather click on another video of his than google every possible sound and read about people somehow having different opinions what's audible and what's not.

As an old school cs1.3-1.6 player, I am always worried to pull out my knife accidentally when we are trying to be silent. Thanks for helping my correct my habit from 15+ years ago! ❤

so what about when i hear someone pump back a shotgun before they round a corner? i never hear any sound coming from any other weapon other than shotguns. i haven't tested it personally, but whenever i have heard the sound it is usually followed by someone being very close-by with a shotgun
I could have sworn it was in csgo a while ago, but maybe it was a bug like the current one in pro play or it was only in casual or something. I just remember getting so annoyed by my teammates constantly quick switching in spawn before a round started. This was like 2016ish.
actually man, someone told me the other day that if you strafe without shifting, even if you can't hear yourself making steps, the ennemy team could potentially; is that true? As in some sort of inconsistency between the sounds you hear yourself making and the ones other players can hear on the server? I mean I wouldn't be shocked, noticing how broken the game still is.
when I was knew to CS2 i lost so many knife kill because i didnt know that it does not make sound. So i tried to backstab many times but my dumb ass thinking it will make noise when i switch my weapon so i quietly followed them with gun and lost most of them lmao
Isnt it also true that you cant hear the grenade pin being pulled? I have heard people say this but I'm pretty sure that you can only hear the grenade throw sound.
yea im pretty sure too you can only hear it if you throw it, thats why fake throws are a thing, just pulling doesnt make a sound. there was something different on the molly though, idk if you can hear it when pulled already i dont quite remember
They can hear it if you hold left click, I got peeked at least 1000 times like that with a grenade in my hand and died. So yeah they can hear you uncocking it (or whatever it's called) /lighting it up
is not that but when i see ppl walking normally or idk if its just by walking while crouch i hear many times a "rope" sound and it was correct every time a enemy was there If I had to describe it, it's like a belt moving, that sound, maybe it has to do with utilities.. idk just my theory it is a very low sound
I'm fine with Spectator view hearing all the sounds. Makes it seem more immersive. The actual players don't need to hear the extra sounds, as that could affect gameplay.
Have they changed it? In csgo you didnt hear if you pull the pin of grenades, only grenade that made sounds was molotov. Every grenade makes noise when you throw them.
just to stop you spreading misinformation.... it is not a bug you can hear weapons switches from anyone that is not your enemy. the only thinks the enemy can hear is: item pick up while not sneaking, scoping throwing nades and obviously steps and shooting.
austin, i have DEFINITELY heard someone switch weapons through a wall on nuke when playing door, its a bug for sure and obviously not something that will happen 100% of the time... going onto a private server and switching weapons 5 times is not a good test
