Hi! Every cent from ads in this video will go to children in Sri Lanka who cannot afford the medicine they need to fight their gastrointestinal autoimmune disorders. This week, we were able to donate $100 to a 14 year old boy fighting ulcerative colitis in a Sri Lankan hospital. This is the first donation generated from the channel, and I hope we can continue to grow as a community. Your viewership is much appreciated.

Thanks for making a crisp and clear video on newer GRE. There are rumors that the shorter GRE will have less room for error. Do you think this will be the case?
@sithijamanage
@sithijamanage Год назад
Thank you for the kind comment, Neel. From my understanding, some could argue that there is less room for error. I think that it will be easier now to score higher or lower than your "true" score. This is actually the concept of variance in statistics with a binomial distribution. Basically, you will have a wider spread of expected scores now that your score is based on fewer questions. Hope that helps!

Nice video dear Sithija. By the way, do you or anyone here get how the 27 questions will translate into a 170 scale? This new test takes away the old concept of all questions carrying just one point each (130+40), and I would like to know how this is reflected in the new version.
@sithijamanage
@sithijamanage 10 месяцев назад
Hi Aimable, thanks for commenting. This is a good question that isn't covered on the website as far as I know. Maybe if you email ETS they could help answer that. Good question
@devanshipratiher1238

Hey! Thanks for the video :) Just wondering since the new GRE will have fewer questions, would each question marked incorrectly have a greater impact on the overall score? For example in a test that is out of 10 questions and each question is 10 points (test total is 100), getting 2 wrong would mean you have an 80%. However, on a test that has 100 questions (each question is 1 point), getting 2 wrong would mean you have a 98%. Not sure if that makes sense, but could you please explain the scoring a bit more and if that analogy is accurate?
@sithijamanage
@sithijamanage Год назад
Hi Devanshi, thanks for the question. It is indeed proportional, so now each incorrect answer DOES have a greater impact on the overall score. (Likewise, each correct answer also has a greater impact). Hope that helps! Thanks for watching

Hi Padma, thank you for watching! I think that you might want to take the IELTS and then the GRE.
