They Created Pikes Peak in Trackmania 

Always nice to see my hometown represented by random people I watch on RU-vid. Weeeee. Also, fun fact, the little cabin you pass by early on is a station that measure the heat of your breaks. If you don't come down the mountain in first gear without breaking, your breaks will heat up and fail, so they check the temps before you get back to normal roads. If you fail the test, you get to spend a few hours waiting for your breaks to cool off instead of driving.

Thanks for playing the map! If you guys have Assetto Corsa, please play the original track (made by SIM TRAXX, link in the TMX description). The SIM TRAXX team made such an awesome job, the original map looks awesome. I sadly had to butcher it to port it to Trackmania.

Driving a 5 minute map at like 300-500 speed in 8 minutes at 30mph is fuggin insane. IRL drivers are not human

4:29 while turtling might not be part of normal pikes peak in 2022 a kid was running this heavily modified dune buggy and went off on one of the corners and completely rolled the car. Luckily the car landed back upright and so he just drove back on the track and continued his run. Absolute legend

It always amazes me how in real life the drivers just absolutely send it on pikes peak while dealing with the changes in downforce along with having the whole thing memorized. Absolutely mind boggling

The most unbelievable thing in TM is the driver's neck strength.

If you noticed, there are road signs before sharp turns. That's how RL drivers are supposed to know that a sharp turn is coming 😉 Before hairpins, there are two signs on either side of the road

There are no copilots in hillclimb. Also this is an insanely good recreation, surprised that's even possible in trackmania

I feel this track needs a no checkpoint version too

Motorsport fans made a lot of hidden gems mainstream - Goodwood, Spa24, Bathurst1000, Britcar, Dakar etc. It seems that Pikes Peak is one of the only few exceptions

Hey I was just at the real life race yesterday! The race is held in Colorado Springs and is the second oldest race in America behind the Indianapolis 500. It's actually really great to have in trackmania because of the fact that it is a Time attack style race. If anyone hasn't heard of the race before I highly suggest you check it out the winner this year was a electric Ford truck that I had a problem with the start and had to stop for 10 seconds. There are also a lot of other really cool builds like a group b style Audi 4000 and a three rotor RX7! The map looks really good in trackmania awesome video!

Yay! I live here, the mapper could put some more scenery along the road to help remember the route, IRL it's not that bad to memorise the entire thing because there are terrain features, I worked up on the mountain and drove it several times a day, was fun times. How old am I? well, I was in a lawn chair along the road when the Audi Quattro first went up it, that was an amazing car just crushing previous records, I also saw the Suzuki thing that had way too much horsepower and way too little grip, it was bonkers. Oh, after the house in the middle it used to be dirt the rest of the way to the top.

In a sim racer they wouldn't memorize the map off of one discovery, they'd only memorize the map after a few dozen runs. But also, in sim racers, they have some sort of guidance in real life, like a minimap or someone reading you callouts, so you'd always know where to go, still.

Imagine the balls it took for Ken Block to drift that corner near the top with the back wheels hanging off the edge! The man was a machine for sure!

Pikes Peak has been around forever in racing and video game racing. The first time it was showcased in a game was Gran Turismo 1. To race Pikes Peak is kind like racing Nürburgring Nordschleife.

8:05 i have been playing on this map on BeamNG Drive every then and now for the past few months, i only did about 15 laps(all with different cars) and i memorised pretty much all the track, so my answer is yes

Forgive me because I'm one of the people do you like to watch trackmania concert but I've never played the game myself. But is it possible to host a tournament where each driver only has one try to set a time for the whole tournament best time wins. That would be the best way to do pikes peak in trackmania.

I used to live in Woodland Park, right next to Pikes Peak! I've driven up this road a couple times (just not at ludicrous speeds). Looks pretty accurate to me.

Barra_333 is a liar or uninformed. Pikes peak has been in games other than gran turismo, and well after 1999. I learned the climb on dirt 3 which released in 2011. Also, considering the fact it's a public road / park. There's no way they could get an exclusive license anyways. That would be like saying x game has exclusive rights to nurburgring.

You should do more real world maps. They're more chaotic than the TM maps because reality doesn't follow any rules
